September 22, 2007 -- WESTERN

Marsha aka brady, thanks for putting together the website. It was a great idea. We may have to remember to post it off and on to let people know. I think that some out there do not always go back and read the entire thread. Great job!

With all the cold and snow, I have been thinking about Karen and her Barbados trip too. Right now it is 4:30 in the morning :coffee: (I know I am crazy) and weather.com has Barbados at 77 degrees and it feels like 80. Man, am I jealous! It is suppose to be high of 83 today and tomorrow. :cool2: I can only dream. Right now it is 5 degrees with a wind chill of -4 here in central IL. I guess I should be glad, at least it is getting into double digits (18) today.

Ah, drinks with little umbrellas!

I have the link in my signature but reminding ppl in posts is a good idea too.

I hope it reaches 76 today here in Orlando like they say. For me its been cold here even using space ceramic heaters all day and night. but inside my home is usually cooler than outside <G>

I can't imagine living where its so cold. Like Minn was 30 below NO WAY!!!! I would freeze and probably my legs would get so cold and stiffen I couldn't move them at all. yet i also have problems in the summer. the heat makes my symptoms worse. if i could find a place that had temps like i low 70's all year I bet I could walk again :rotfl: Well at least maybe symptoms wouldn't flare up due to cold or heat.

Ooh, I love the website idea - and it looks spectacular! I'm getting a little bummed though, and worried that we won't be able to make it! I'll keep you all posted.

Oh no I hope that isn't the case. keep us posted.

Thanks. We probably won't hear about DH's vacation request until early May :sad2: They have to wait for a new intern group to come in and make their requests as well, and then they work it all out. This year we got our first 2 choices, so we'll keep our fingers crossed.

After that, then comes the issue of paying for it! We have it planned and budgeted in, that's not the issue. It's just that we've become DVC members and have current APs since booking, and it's very hard to justify spending the money on a cruise when a WDW vacation is practically "free" (well, you know... :rotfl: )

We'll see, we'll see. :headache:

Not sure if anyone would be interested here are links to pics I took in the Magic 7 night Jan 27.

Please don't feel obligated to view pics.

Oh I can understand but hey its a Disney Cruise !!!!!!!! Come and to the land and sea package. I really hope you guys can do the cruise as it would be great to meet and say hi. keep us posted

Those pictures are great! I wish I were better about taking pictures when we go on a trip. The first year we went to WDW I filled an entire album with hundreds of pictures. But I think on our last cruise I took only about 20 or 30 pictures. You would think that I would take more, since we went to digital about 3 years ago. But now I seem to be worse. About the only pictures I take anymore are of my 16 month old grandaughter.:cutie:

with this being my first cruise i took hundreds too. most likely i won't take as many on the Sept cruise but who knows. with digital at least you can delete and not pay to print bad ones <G>

In Sept I hope to get pics of things that I didn't last week but with me one never knows. I can go haywire with the camera LOL

i bet its fun though taking the pics of your grand-daughter. great memories to pass on from generation to generation.

20-30 photos:scared1: I think on our last cruise I ended up coming home with over 2000:rolleyes1 Okay...call me camera happy. I don't think I went anywhere on the ship (or off) without a camera in hand;) But I love photography...and will take a pic of just about anything.

Tink...I hope everything works out with your DH vacation. That would suck and be awefully stressfull just not knowing for so long. I'm a planner...and need to know..I think I'd go NUTS if I were in your shoes. On the other hand...I can understand you delima beween WDW and DCL. Having your AP...and being a DVC makes the choice hard.

I've managed to talk DH and friends and my parents into going to WDW a few days early....to spend some time in the parks.:goodvibes Now to only pick which parks to do. Last year we spent two days at the MK (our very first time). This year I think we'll only do two days again...and I'm sure one of them will be at the MK...but the other I just don't know. If you all had to pick one other park to go to which one would it be and why? Our group will have 5+ adults, 3 teens (14yrs old) and 2+ (9 year olds). I'm not sure if 'everyone' is going.....but this is the group I'm fairly sure about. If they offer the MNSSHP during the time were there...I think I'll see about adding that in as well....so it'll give us another 1/2 day at MK. ;) Oh...BTW this is only the second time we've been to WDW...and the first for some of our group. So far we've never seen any of the other parks other than those two days at MK last trip. :goodvibes

OMG !!!! That's our Erika!!! She's our ADD!!! Adopted Disney Daughter! She just got her stripe about 10 days ago! Isn't she a doll!
Great pics... you must have had a Magic-al time!

Ann

Erika was such a blessing and a delight. She is the one that gave me the key chain from Grand Cayman since I couldn't get off the tender to visit the island. She got on the tender to head back to the ship and I was still on there. I told her I just wanted to ride the tender over and back to say been there done that but didn't get the t-shirt. that night on my door was an envelope with a key chain from the island, a note saying something like since you couldn't get the t-shirt she and Dania thought I should have something from the island. It was so thoughtful. She also assisted in our private magical moment with Mickey and Minnie.

So many did so much for me and my friend. I wished I could have given them something in return, each and everyone. I felt so blessed in how they cared for my needs, answered questions, made special arrangements for magical moments etc....

I hope she is there in Sept. I would love to see her again. As well as many others <G>

someone please remind me in Sept to limit the picture taking or if i am going to take hundreds not to come home, print them and put into a photo album <G> I bought the DCL 2007 large photo album. I have put all the pics I bought from Shutters, the special notes from crew/cast, and pics that I took. But still have at least 200 but probably more. Guess they will have to remain in a folder. I tried putting my favorite ones in the album i.e. Pal Mickey, pics of me with crew/cast, and new friends from the cruise. But geesh I have pics upon pics that I don't even remember taking or why I took them LOL.

OK Marsha aka Brady, I'll remind you not to take too many pictures and you remind me to take more pictures! :thumbsup2

Marsha thanks for doing the list and web page. I bring my laptop along to process my digital photos to try and keep it manageable.:lmao: Mike

I did fine managing them on my laptop by uploading, viewing, deleting the yucky ones, even put them into categories to put in my online album

my problem is i took hundreds of them to Walgreens to actual print so I could put in my photo album. I had too many pics for the album but had also put in all my professional ones from shutters, other memory things like invite to bridge etc....

So last night sitting there going thru all those hundred of photos to decided which ones to put in album, what order, etc......

I think Sept I just won't plan on printing but a handful to put into an album, and just keep the hundreds online photo album. :goodvibes

Hey this was my first Disney Cruise so I went overboard on several things pictures, packing, to name at least two :rotfl:

I will do better in Sept I just know I will :rotfl2:

Marsha that is the solution that we have come to. Print the ones we want to show and keep the rest on the computer or online. Mike

For sure next time. I feel since it was my first cruise I wanted to save everything and be able to show it. Maybe for second cruise some of that feeling will be little less, <G> ummm with me I have to wonder LOL

Try living with a photographer!:rotfl:

One of our cruises we took 45 Rolls of film with 36 pics per roll! That equals1625 pics!!! Try putting that in a scrapbook!:scared1:
Thank god for digital cameras:love:

We usualy come home with 700 to 1000 pics everytime. It's a cheap way to decorate your own home. Print your favorite pics.
Our guest bath is Castaway Cay! All hand painted murals by me and pics of CC by DH. A real beach retreat:cloud9:

OMG that was a lot of pics using a "regular" film camera. So right thank goodness for digital. I would have wasted many pics if had been using a film camera. I love digital, just delete the ones you don't like or turn out the way you want. gotta love technology <G>

I have BOXES of prints!!!:scared1:

Alot of them go for shows and galleries and many have been used in books, magizines and movies. I love it when those jobs come in!!!$$$$$$$$$ is great for curises!
