September 2025 Refurbs. Big Thunder Sept. 2.

Way overthinking this, but maybe it's because they don't want Incredicoaster and RSR both closed during first weekend of OBB and/or Labor Day weekend?

Anything is possible at this point. As I have said before, Disneyland plays fast and loose with the refurb calendars!

Case in point this morning, The Disney Gallery was closed on Sept 8....now it is open on the 8th. Why is the Main St Cinema closed on Sept 8. Why is the Tiki Room closed on the 7th and 8th? it just reopened after a near 2 month refurb?!

Did they say the Sherman Brothers tribute in the Main Street Cinema was only temporary?

I noticed this on the backside of the Sherman Bros sign yesterday.

They just opened up Pixie Hollow! What is going on now????
I had hoped to see Tink on my next visit in September.

She was out on Pride Night hanging with Flora, Fauna and Merriweather but the crowd was massive around them, and I can't handle those kind of scenes.

When the added the Sherman Brothers film the Cinema was closed for 2 to 3 days. I have no idea why the Cinema is undergoing a refurb. If the 6 cartoons were being reinstalled that does not take 8+ days and counting. I assumed the Sherman film was being shown during the 70th celebration but who knows.

I think Disneyland is making this a seasonal thing like summer only. Who knows. It is mind blogging after a near 10 month refurb.

Big Thunder added. They announced it with 25 days notice. This is what I mean when I said they play fast and loose with the refurbs calendar.

It’s a lot of refurbishments at the same time! Hopefully Radiator Springs will come off the refurb calendar for Sept. 19. That would be just a little over a month after its closure date (5 weeks).

Whew, looks like we just dodged a bullet by a day or so! We are going at the end of August and BTM is one of our favorites. Not to mention that even if you aren't riding it, having the sounds of it and people screaming just adds a lot to the feel of the area - kind of like the Matterhorn, etc. Feel bad for those who are going in September now.

Arrrrgh!!!! Big Thunder and Radiator Springs Racers are our two favorites, and both are showing as down for refurbishment during our OBB weekend. Oh well!!!!
