FP day was yesterday. Got everything we wanted at pretty good times. Might tweak them a bit later, but for now I'm happy with our choices. Got SDD at 60+2 and FoP, which were the two big ones. Still unsure of our HS strategy, but we might wait to figure that out til after SWGE opens and there's some feedback.

Also just found out I might be going to Disneyland next month, which will be a first for me!

So how many shirts are people packing? We will be there 10 days. We will be doing afternoon breaks probably 1/2 of those days. I'm sure I'll want fresh clothes for the evening. I really don't want to do laundry. All my shorts are wicking athletic shorts and I can easily wash them in the sink and hang to dry. I'm thinking I will take 15 shirts. I have 6 Disney shirts already and I just ordered 3 more in Etsy, 1 from Kohls, and I have a bunch of solid wicking shirts and I'll take a few of those.
Thank goodness we're flying Southwest, so we can have 4 suitcases for DH and I if necessary! LOL.

I swore up and down that I wouldn't be anywhere near WDW when SWGE opens, yet here I am with a trip for the exact weekend it opens! I am definitely eating crow right now!

Background...we usually visit WDW in Spring or Fall and sometimes both. After seeing SWGE opening date I wanted to move our September trip up to mid August. Unfortunately it didn't work out and our only available dates were August 30-September 6 so we took it. My reasoning is that any day at Disney, even a crowded one, is better than none! So we are now set in stone and planning MNSSHP for Monday Sept. 2 and Epcot for Wednesday Sept. 4. We were in WDW in May so we really just wanted a very relaxed trip this time to celebrate our wedding anniversary so I'm ok with just two days this time! I am super nervous about the crowds but hoping it will work out ok. I'm banking on people NOT doing MNSSHP on Sept. 2 because I'm hoping they will keep the date open for SWGE. Wishful thinking, I know, but I 'm going with it! LOL! I'm getting really excited now!

We are going Sept 2-6 and staying at Caribbean Beach. This will be my 8 and 10yr old boy's first visit along with their 1yr old sister! We are totally stoked. We haven't told them yet and we can't wait to tell them!

We did MNSSHP last year on labour day Monday and it was awesome! It doesn't work for us this trip so we're doing it on the Friday prior. I'll be praying for low crowds at Epcot on the 4th as well because that's our day too! I hope we both have great trips!

I'm actually glad now that we have the trip booked because if I had done our trip mid August I would've missed F&W. I still crave the filet from Canada and I'm so happy they have it again this year!

FP+ day went really well! Even at 60+3 there were only evening times available for SDD, but I don't mind. I was able to get FOP too, which was the other big one. Now I can start obsessively planning my daily itinerary in detail! lol

I can’t make up my mind on what park to do on our 7th day.....really I just can’t figure out which FastPasses to choose as we can hop wherever....So we are getting there on a Saturday and that will be just a resort day

It was not crowded at all! I think it was the slowest party up to that point and the slowest of that week. It was incredible!

I'm encouraged to see so many FP success stories!! We book our FP's Wednesday morning!!

(We're doing several days at Universal before we head to Disney, so my Disney 60 day mark doesn't match up with my countdown. lol)

Don’t worry at all. Everything was available between 3rd and 17th and there is still good availability. I got 7DMT for day 1 in the morning, SDD for day 2 am and FOP for day 3 am. The only difficulty, I found was using the tier 2 HS FPs. The new tier options make it complicated. ADR options are still good too. I wonder what all this means for crowd levels.

The new HS tier system is annoying. We are planning on booking two Star Tours FP and 1 SDD, my boys are not into watching shows, but SDD is their favorite ride. Would we be able to book 2 FP for Star Tours?

I don’t think that you can duplicate FPs when you are first making your selection. I think that you can on the day but not in advance.

I’m going sep 4-14 too. I did my FP yesterday and got almost everything I wanted. I was at 7:30 on my computer and couldn’t find SDD in the morning, the earlier it was at 12:30, but It’s ok. So happy because we are getting closer

Our FP day is Wednesday as well. I've been stressing over the SDD FP because my kids have never done that and it's a definite must this trip. We have worked things every which way, and I think we've finally settled on a solid plan. Trying to find a morning to sleep in when parks open at 6am and 7am is crazy! I can hardly bring myself to miss those early rope drops!

Hey y'all it's been a while. Gosh, I am so ready for this vacation cause I feel like life has been hectic recently. I keep seeing people post articles on the lack of crowds at SWGE in DL. Are we all getting a bit hopeful over here? I know I sure am. I really think it's going to be not as intense as everyone thinks still.

Hope those fastpasses are going well too. I love seeing the travel plans and details of the trips. POST MORE OF THEM! LOL
