September 2016 Trip Thread!!!!

Just booked Sept 15 thru Sept 22 at the DLH and I'm hoping based on the availability of the hotel this will be a slow time.

We weren't going to go this year because one of my sons got married but after the wedding we all looked at each other and said.....we need Disney. It was kind of a spur of the minute for me which is a bit unusual so we are very excited!

Just made our first dining reservation today for Steakhouse 55 for September 8. Tried to make reservations for Carnation Cafe for breakfast on the 6th but nothing is available. I'm thinking it will not open until hours are posted.

I'm thinking it's taking forever for those park hours to come out!!!!

I noticed that you have fireworks listed daily all of September. Are you guessing that they will continue daily even after the diamond celebration ends?

I've also seen the rumor on the forums that PTN will be shelved. I don't have solid evidence that any of the shows will end or continue. What is listed is my best guess for the shows that most are interested assuming that they do continue.

I'm trying to plan my trip but can't book anything for PTN past the 2nd. I have seen the rumors about it going away. Also I can't book anything for WOC past the 2nd as well. So I'm getting a little upset that it seems that there is no night time stuff going on at all! I know WOC isn't going away but why can't I book anything. It is making me sad.

So, I was able to get WOC dining for September 13. However, the dining times available stop at 3:30pm starting on Sept. 4. My guess (though this is complete conjecture at this point) is that TPTB haven't decided upon the hours for WOC starting on Sept. 4 (weird, since it's Labor Day weekend), so they are stopping the dining meals at 3:30. Once they know the time, they will add in dinner hours. I am hoping that they also add in the WOC dessert party, and I hope that the lack of scheduling is also why PTN is currently absent from the meal plans. Trying to be an optimist for now.

Don't care if they change the fireworks show because this is only my 2nd trip & I missed out on the fireworks last time. I think it is a load of bull that they have halloween for the whole month of Sept. but can't do the party or parade the whole month or at least do PTN up until they start doing the parties. I really wanted to see PTN!

I don't read this as an end of PTN or regular fireworks, but as a change to the fireworks show for the nights of the Halloween parties.

Yes! I'm so excited. We weren't sure there would be any while we are there, but we arrive Sept 22 and the first party is Sept 23. Perfect timing!
