September 2015 Countdown!

in sept 2012 I was there early Sept, 6 - 11, and they had a lot of if not all the halloween decor up already. I love it!
Last time we went it was mid-late September. Our dates are August 29-September 6. So we might get there during the transition. I loved the decorations too. But it would be kinda nice to see Disney in its natural beauty. We've only been once and it was decorated.

The last 2 times we went to WDW we went on Easter week and Mid-August. Both times were super busy (6-10 park levels).

How necessary are FP+ during the first 2 weeks of September? My goal would be to hit the parks at RD and stay until 1 or 2. Then head back to the hotel to relax a bit then on to another park in the evening.

There is one night where MK is open until 2am, so we will head back there EMH since we have TL the next day which = late start!

I find that you still want FP+ for the big headliner rides, especially where there are tiers. We FP+ either Soarin' or Test Track, then make sure to hit the other first thing after rope drop. ALso, in MK especially, some of the rides that didn't have waits as long before now do (e.g. Peter Pan). That said, none of the lines will be anywhere near what you would see on Easter or the summer busy season.

Oh! Just found this thread, joining in! 6th-18th of Sep (2 weeks, yay!). Did my FP+ a few days ago, got everything i wanted :-)

I am so excited for my son's first trip to Disney! My family will be there 9/3-9/7, staying at All Star Music!

Made my FP+ yesterday at 3 am. I cannot get FotLK or Nemo musical show for 9/19 for 3 pm show. Other shows available for FotLK, but only 1 pm show available for Nemo.

How exciting! Does your son know your'e going? You arrive at WDW the same day as we do, so 51 more days for us!

Sunday (or Saturday night at 10pm) we can make FP+!

Is it best to start with our final day in the parks and work backwards?

I would think it's best to start with the hardest to get FP like 7DMT. I haven't done them before so maybe I'm wrong.

Honestly I went in and did Anna and Elsa and the rest for the day we are meeting them, then I just started at day 1 and worked through to day 10 with no problems, then went back in and adjusted times. I got 7DMT, Soarin, Test Track, Toy Story and everything else with no problems at all.

Okay, that makes sense. I did this last year and all I can remember is switching them around like crazy.

You did come out good! I think this trip will be quite heavy on the characters (including A&E) so I think that's what we'll aim for first.

Got all my FP+ and even snagged the ADR at Sci Fi that I've been trying to get for a couple of weeks.

sitting at the computer waiting for midnight to make fast pass selections...the anticipation is killing me!!!
