September 2015 Countdown!

PS - tonight's our last night to customize magic bands. We are getting close. So jealous of those who have them!!!

We ordered memory maker yesterday. We are online checked in, requests called in and added to our reservation for room location, all fp+ made, adr's all made all paid in full. Now we wait. 49 days. Can't believe we are finally under 50...longest wait ever.

Just curious....what made you decide to get memory maker? Im on the fence. Need someone to push me over!!

We are now checked in online for our resorts! Getting SO close!

OK - reading through this thread has put me in the Disney spirit. I just keep staring at My MDE info. I need to talk with someone about Disney and everyone is asleep in my house (not that if they were awake they would want to hear me review our plans yet again).

So of our 24 meals over 9 days / 8 nights, I have the following ADRs...

Citrico's (dinner)
Tutto Italia (dinner)
Hollywood & Vine (breakfast)
Sci-Fi Dine-In (lunch)
Kona Cafe (dinner)
Be Our Guest (lunch)
California Grill (dinner)
Biergarten (lunch)
The Plaza (dinner)
Tusker House (brunch)
Narcoossee's (dinner)
Brown Derby (fantasmic dinner)
Crystal Palace (breakfast)
Be Our Guest (lunch) <again>
Teppan Edo (dinner)
Chef Mickey's (brunch)

Any thought? It's pretty much too late to switch these up now, but does anyone have some experiences or tips for these places?

Awesome!!! Just curious...have you used online check-in before? What are the benefits? Are there any drawbacks?

I've never used it before. I guess it's supposed to make check-in at the hotel a bit faster and you can also make room requests with online check-in (upper floor, near elevator, near lobby, near transportation, etc.)...

Looks like a good list of ADR's! We love the Crystal Palace for breakfast! We'll be trying BOG for the first time on this trip - our last trip was five years ago so we're looking forward to seeing the changes in Fantasyland and DTD and to trying some new restaurants. We'll also be trying Kona Cafe for the first time on this trip - for breakfast due to the rave reviews on the tonga toast! The CA Grill is supposed to be great but I could never find an ADR for it around fireworks times during our dates. Biergarten is one of my dad's favorites so we'll be hitting that for lunch one day. It's not my favorite but that's okay - I'm just a picky eater and not overly fond of a lot of the food they have there.

Haven't tried the others on your list - hope they're yummy!

I guess because a few of the places we are dining at have pictures at them, in the past we've bought the pics but hey are included in memory maker. Also, all of he picture from the rides, the ones I always tell my kids that they're too much money, they're included too. we are going all out in this trip, not sure when we'll get back...

Thanks for the feedback on ADRs...we did get Cali Grill (my wife and I only) at 9PM on on a MNSSHP night. I have never seen the MNSSHP fireworks, so we are excited for that. We also have Narcoossee's for the whole family at 7:15PM on a 9PM Wishes night - so seeing the fireworks from there should be cool. We are trying a few new places for us on this trip too...Be Our Guest (obviously), Tutto Italia, Kona Cafe, and The Plaza are all our first time. And we have never done Chef Mickey's for brunch before. The others are some of our favorites. I semi enjoy the food at Biergarten, but I really like the beer and the kids love the band. I love all the restaurants at GF, especially Citricos and Narcoossee's. And if you have to have dinner in HS, then I really like the Brown Derby.

Last time I was there in 2013, aspects of the new Fantasyland were just starting to open. I'm excited to see it completed too. 32 days!

Oh wait...in 1-hour it will be 31-days!!!!

Sorry my mistake, we are going September 12-19th.

Just noticed our dates our almost identical (we are 9/12 - 9/20), we are both staying at BLT, we are both celebrating our DS's birthday (mine is turning 6), and we are both from PA. Maybe we will see you on the plane!

You're going to love seeing the MNSSHP fireworks, especially with a view from Cali Grill! The view is amazing! I was lucky that my wedding night was also a MNSSHP night so my family and friends got to see the fireworks from Ohana while eating dinner! I was absolutely glowing! They're my favorite fireworks show! :goodvibes

I'm glad!!! I watched Wishes while eating dinner at the Cali Grill with my grandma during my 21st birthday trip and we had a wonderful time. It was really nice! I just know you're going to have a wonderful time too! Even more so because the MNSSHP fireworks are the BEST! Thank you so very much! It's been a wonderful year! :D

I added my thoughts in red! Sounds like a great trip you have planned!

So of our 24 meals over 9 days / 8 nights, I have the following ADRs...

Citrico's (dinner) This place sounds really yummy, but I've yet to dine there.
Tutto Italia (dinner)
Hollywood & Vine (breakfast)
Sci-Fi Dine-In (lunch) Really classic place. The food was good when we went last summer, plus it's a great place to relax and cool down.
Kona Cafe (dinner) Trying this for the first time in a couple weeks, but the menu sounds good to me, plus it has sushi!
Be Our Guest (lunch) One of my new favorite lunches on Disney property, good food and great experience
California Grill (dinner)
Biergarten (lunch)
The Plaza (dinner) Basic sandwiches and home cooked meals, really yummy!
Tusker House (brunch)
Narcoossee's (dinner)
Brown Derby (fantasmic dinner)
Crystal Palace (breakfast)
Be Our Guest (lunch) <again>
Teppan Edo (dinner) I personally loved this dinner, we don't have a hibachi place local, so it was a really cool experience!
Chef Mickey's (brunch) Lots of kids = loud, and maybe a bit messy, but look past that, and enjoy the experience and buffet :-)

Any thought? It's pretty much too late to switch these up now, but does anyone have some experiences or tips for these places?

We LOVE Memory Maker, but I think it would only be worth it if you take advantage of it. My SIL got it but hardly stopped for photos so she ended up with like 30 tops. When we go we stop at as many photographers as we can at different times of day. And every photographer is different, so even if you go to MK 3 days in a row and get a pic in front of the castle each morning and night you'll end up with different photos. But for us, the real seller is the ride photos we get along with all of our other photos. We always buy ride photos when we go to amusement parks so getting them along with our nice park photos makes MM a great value for us.

The other thing I love about MM is when the photographer adds a little magic to your photos and you get to look back later and see what fun characters showed up in your pictures! If you do decide to get it, make sure you get it in advanced, it's $30 cheaper to buy it early.

It's why this board is so great! DH is tired of me talking about our Disney plans and he only half listens when I do talk to him. So it's nice to have somewhere to go where everyone is just as Disney crazy as you are and are also already packing or constantly tweaking their plans.

You have a lot of ADRs like us, we are going for 10 days/9 nights and have booked tons...a lot of the ones you have booked as well!

Citrico's (dinner) - We ate here 2 years ago and really loved it. The food was great and the staff were all very friendly. I loved the dessert I got as it they made a chocolate crown to go behind it, it was very impressive! The cheese appetizer was also very good

Kona Cafe (dinner) - TONGA TOAST TONGA TOAST TONGA TOAST!!! That is if you like sweater breakfasts and bananas... But to me, I'm pretty sure they created this meal with me in mind :)

Be Our Guest (lunch) - We really enjoyed this restaurant. It's QS but it doesn't feel like it since you don't carry trays to your table and you get real silverware. Try the grey stuff!

California Grill (dinner) - If you are dining during fireworks, it might be worth asking them to hold your main course if it's due to come out right around fireworks. Otherwise, even if you're not dining during wishes, you can still go back to the lounge to watch the fireworks since you had dinner there.

Tusker House (brunch) - This is by far my absolute favorite meal in WDW. I love the restaurant theme and the food is great. They do have most of your basic Disney brunch buffet items, but they also have tons of other interesting food to try that no other buffet has.

Be Our Guest (lunch) <again> - Since you're eating here more than once, try to eat in a different dining room each time. There are 3 and they're all awesome.

Teppan Edo (dinner) - We love this dinner. The food is really good and the chefs are amazing. It's really run to just sit back and watch the show. And also, if cheesecake is your thing, try the green tea cheesecake, SO YUMMY!

My countdown ticker stopped counting down! Aack! I'll have to make a new one with the AKL on it. :teeth:

3 weeks and 2 days to go!
