September 2014 hours were released and it's weird...

Josh is tweeting about some September updates so apparently he must have the same calendar.

That always changes and usually to 2 showings per night.

I guess the only good thing about this is that it looks like the plan to have NOBODY but my fiance and I there in Sept. I can dig that.

I noticed that they close at 7pm those days (for now anyway). Could be private events, but it would seem strange to have 4 in a row.

I think that first Fri and Sat closing at 7 is due to Grad Nights. I think the first MNSSHP will start the 9th.

The first Fri and Sat should be night of joy nights with MNSSHP starting the following Tues. That calendar is really odd though and I can't imagine it's correct, but who knows.

Thanks for the link- I could only get the 2013 when I googled it. Now my question is about MK on Labor Day. Only open til 7? Does that mean earlier start to MNSSHP?

Per Josh's site, yes MNSSHP may be pushed back to start on 8/29 and then again on 9/1 (Labor Day).

Yep, nothing better than all parks closing before 10 with EMH on the same nights.

We will be there Sept 1-9 and it'll probably be our only trip...first and only trip for my ds 10 and dd 8. If they end up keeping the first week schedule as it is for HS, do you think it would still be worth it for us to do HS on one of the days it closes at 7p and skip seeing the Fantasmic show? Or is the Fanstasmic show something we don't want to miss? We are only able to do HS for 1 day.

Park hours are always very short when the calendar is first released. There will be major updates (based partially on resort capacity) about a month out. These hours will get extended, but not for MNSSHP and Night of Joy, of course.

During Sept you can prob do DHS 3 times in 1 day before 7pm.

Also according to Josh (honestly, what would we do without him!), the reason for the double evening EMH's is because Disney is adding an additional Sunday MNNSHP on Sept. 14 and 21, so those evening EMH's are being switched to Mondays.

He also tweeted that Fantasmic won't be running from Sept. 2-5, so it might not be a mistake.

Yeah, I agree...we've gone every year in Sept. for the last 5+ yrs. and that schedule/hours are pretty sad and quite a negative change from past yrs. Hopefully it doesn't stick for those going and it's just a mistake.

It is because of MNSSHP, but not exactly for that reason. Josh reported it on his site earlier today.

Thanks for the insight! I figure that day won't be very busy with an early closing and no Fantasmic show. Now I'll just have to figure out if it's worth it to go that day and skip seeing Fantasmic...unless the calendar changes before now and then.
