AustralianKaren - I don't twitter, I'm a FB addict but that's about it. I'll ring the 0800 line and have a chat about it.

Hey I see you are getting onboard your cruise the same day as we board the Wonder. Which port are you embarking at?

hey, twitter will get you better and quicker results.....

We depart port Canaveral, right next door to Disney...so sad as our freedom of the seas horn is nothing compared to "when you wish upon a star" gives me chills just thinking about it... I think we depart 4.30 ish.....where will you be coming from...we'll be leaving from bay lake tower then via budget car hire @ cape Canaveral

but @ departure I'll be stuffing my face with the cupcakes from cupcake store, so wont be a total loss....30 varieties..so little time.Won't need a floatation device......

also, just a quickie

if you are staying at a monorail resort, or intend to use the magic kingdom loop, there may be disruptions for the next few months, mainly between 11 am and 5 pm.....

just putting it out there..which is a bugger cause we are staying at Bay lake tower....please let it b finished by sept 16 :worried:

There was me thinking we could wave at you as we went past.... until you said Port Canaveral. We are at Port of Los Angeles. Kinda different seaboard huh!

Okay I've realised we have yet to book a vehicle for this trip. Anyone with a fav rental company (we need SUV type thing)? :drive:

Having 'light discussions' with DH over buying Disney tickets and So Cal tickets. It's giving me a headache. I think we want four days at Disneyland, nothing at Universal (kids too young at nearly five). I know we want two days at Legoland (the kids are obsessed). I want to do the Midway. The SD Zoo sounds it's worth the trip. Argh. Makes my head ache.

We use Traveljigsaw. I have a jeep booked with them for our trip this year. First used them in 2009 and had a very flash SUV - Buick maybe? Fantastic rates for us Aussies, this trip is costing us $340 for 7 days.

And dont forget Mousesavers
http://www.mousesavers.com/rentalcar.html

I used the budget code (code Y937800) for car hire, got 10 days for $376 (usually $650+) pick up mco drop off port canaveral.....
and 4 day hire port canaveral - mco $150
and no, not getting one of these... intermediate this time, divorce was threatened...

I'm sure you'd get it cheaper still in LA..
we got a one day hire @ lax for $35 thru priceline.....

now I'm starting to panic......so off i go to budget to recheck the prices....

I've resisted enough and tonight my DH got me at a weak moment, and we bought an iPad :scratchin

I registered it and as yet haven't had a go... :hourglass:scratchin

Spending has taken a beating this week

He wants a motorbike, thats not gonna happen :moped:

He keeps saying, if I import it myself it will be cheaper (you know what will be cheaper? if you don't get it :joker:)

Another strange day, strange people ::yes::

A woman punched another woman out the front of my work :scared1:
3 people lost their purses
1 person lost a set of keys
1 person lost their sunglasses
1 drug affected idiot left their kids in the car while in the chemist (getting methadone probably :rolleyes2)

What is wrong with the world?

Shorter answer? Whats right with it??

is it coming up to full moon???..the kids at school go nuts around that time....you can set your calender by it :coffee:

After going back and forth on whether we should go to Las Vegas, and deciding no, have now changed our minds and think we will squeeze in a quick 24 hours towards the end of our 2 weeks. Looking at taking the Lux bus from Anaheim to LV and staying at Paris (I think the girls will love it), we'll need 2 rooms for the 5 of us which is a pain but I can see some fairly good prices for the date so shouldn't cost too much. I know people say LV isn't for kids but I want to tick something else off the list, and we're not casino people so think the kids will enjoy checking out the hotels etc. More planning, woo hoo!

we are also doing a 24 hr vegas trip from lax, had some delta vouchers we had to use, so thought why not..only the 2 of us, staying at Luxor oct 4 ($50 :cool1: )..Dh has never been so it may be a good way to see if he'd like to go for longer next time :thumbsup2

Im one of the people who dont think Vegas is for kids we didnt like it but due to the fact we are driving through there we are staying for not 1 but 2 nights the kids wanted 2 nights:lmao:

Aust,
I think Paris is a great choice for a family. We really liked it - our two youngest were with us when we stayed there, they were 15 and 8 at the time.

I'm not a huge Vegas fan but I totally understand you wanting to tick it off the list - it's an amazing place to see.

Andona

I figure a 1 night trip is enough for me to say I've been there and seen it, and if we hate it it's not too long, and if we like it we can go back for longer another time.

Also I am dying to go to Europe but that's quite a few years off so it's the closest I'll get to Paris until then!!

I haven't done a huge amount of research yet but the Unofficial Guide to LV recommends smartervegas.com for hotel discount codes.

Hi all, what sites to you use to get the cheap Las Vegas rates?
Many thanks

We were there 3 years ag and I used Hotwire (mystery hotels) and got MGM for $54 + tax
You can use the Betterbidding website to research which hotel it most likely is.
