September 2012 code watch!

Just got a 30% Pin this morning, but hoping for FD like everyone else. Might just have to call and see if there are any other PIN's available for us. :goodvibes

Is anyone else shooting for Homeschool Days? I wish they would just say WHICH days that will be! It's awfully hard to plan to be there for it when they take forever to announce the dates! Bleh!

I just wish I had even an inkling of an idea when the program will be. Right now we are going September 16-22 but we would change it to do this program.

Oh wait! I think I found it! It took some digging because it's not just listed on the calendar but if you flip the calendar to list view, it all appears! Woohoo!

And there's a class our week. Yippee! Not sure if it's just YES or actual Homeschool Days (HS Days are a little cheaper). But whatever, it's going to save us a ton of money and then we can get a room discount, too, if one is offered. Yikes. I was all set on Pop because I wanted to be cheap so I've had a number in my head that I wanted to spend and now I may be able to upgrade and stay under that number. Oh dear. Back to decision making!

I had gotten 10% off about a month ago and decided not to book with it. Afterall, I am pretty sure we will eventually get FD.

A friend of mine is a travel agent and is putting together a large group for the last week of August. She is getting me rates for that. If its that great, then I might switch to August group. Of course my 7 year old is so mad at me because she wants to do the Halloween party, but saving $ sounds good to me! Decisions decisions!

In december my mom received a pin for Animal kingdom lodge in Spet 2012 - 30% room only. We wanted Poly. So she called and said she has this pin for AKL but wants poly do they have any discount for that. The guy on the phone, who I think was new, gave us the 30% off for POLY!!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

That's great!!!! You got a good deal because AKL is much cheaper than the Polynesian!! :cheer2:

I emailed WDW and asked if I should be receiving a PIN code for September shortly because for the past 2 years we have received a PIN code. The response was "at this time we do not show that you are to receive a PIN code". Well, a week later I received a "Game On" envelop in the mail from WDW and low and behold, it was a PIN code............for MAY!!!!! I am still holding out and hoping we will eventually get a PIN code for September but I have also heard that the PIN codes for September are for 30% off the Deluxe and not the typical 40% off. :sad2: Hopefully we'll get some sort of discount because we weren't looking at spending quite as much on vacation this year.

HA! I just called to see if any pins were added to my name and to see if there were any room only codes. Of course I was told no pins for me which I figured:confused3. Then I was told there would be no room only codes because they were really busy! Can you believe that?? Guess I won't be upgrading then.

Busy? In September? Dang, that's odd.

I wouldn't give up hope. :goodvibes

If there are no pins, we'll cancel and rent DVC points instead.

Might be a silly question, but if I have a pin and want to book online through the book now button in my email, can I just go through the whole process twice to book two rooms, or will it only let you use the pin code for one room? I'm second-guessing myself if I should just go ahead and book with the measly 10% off pin that I have just to be sure that we at least get our two rooms saved. I think we're switching to Coronado Springs now, and I don't know how fast it books up, with it being a convention resort.

I am not sure of the answer to your question, as I've never booked two rooms and I've never had a % off pin LOL!

But I have a question for you....is there a reason you are booking two rooms at Cornado versus one room at Port Orleans Riverside since you are a family of five? Just curious as we too are family of five and I like to weigh the different options!

I think you might have to call to use a pin for 2 rooms. Your hubby has 1 code too, right? If they don't let you do that, can you use his as well?

We're a family of six, not five. :goodvibes We would normally stay at a 2 bdrm villa, but the price difference is hard to swallow this year since we just went last year and weren't planning to go again til 2013. I decided I'd rather stay at a cheaper resort and go every year though. No kitchen in the room means more eating out and less cooking anyways! :lmao:

He got the 10% off code too, but once I looked at it closer I realized his is for May. I might just book the one room, then try to book the other with it. Worse case I have to phone instead to get a CM to book it for me, or cancel the original room if they won't let me use the code for both. I'm still debating though, I know its just speculation but I'm worried if I book I won't have a good chance of getting a better code! :confused3

I wonder if it has to do with them opening that new area in MK? I really hope they continue giving out the pin codes!!!

I was hoping for a room only code to come but I just couldn't wait anymore. I called today and had AAA applied. I got 20% off:confused3 If something better comes out I guess I can call and change it. As of now I'm happy.:thumbsup2

i received my Game On package from Disney in the mail, :thumbsup2 but no PIN! :confused3 UGH! Im getting nervous and definitley need a better offer. I am so surprised they are not booking or sending out any good deals yet. I am definitley waiting for the MNNSHP infomration so we can book our ADR accordingly.

We have never been during teh MNNSHP. Is it worth the money for a night? *I am all about having fun, but I am having a hard time choking up an additional couple hundred dollars for it!!

:( Thought??:scared1:

I hear you on getting no offers, I've received a 10% off pin for Sept, other than that I've received 4 other promotional Game On emails with no pins or discounts. :sad2: Wish they'd hurry up!

As for MNSSHP, I think it's definitely worth the money. We went last Sept (and had to pay for tickets for 6 people!) and it was the best night of our entire trip. The parade and fireworks were amazing!!! We plan on going again this year, even though it's so expensive. :thumbsup2
