Just booked the in room bounceback at POR for 30% Sept 29-Oct 2 for the Tower of Terror race weekend and the beginning of Food and Wine Festival!!

Well that stinks! I was hoping of getting both, but if its too good to be true, it usually is.

I was looking at POP, or Coronado. I'm on a pretty limited budget.. Im thinking the free dining would be cheaper, its 30% off for military rates most hotels.

Its pretty funny though, I'm majorly into couponing, when I have time between working full time as an RN, kids. And there are just as many websites devoted to Disney savings!

Pop with Free Dining is hard to beat, $-wise. And Pop is a fun resort, so good value, especially with kids.
Coronado Springs brings you into a different realm. Biggest rooms of all the WDW moderates, pricier than Pop by a good margin, but can still be a good value with FD.
If you're considering CSR, you should look into Shades of Green. SOG is a military hotel on WDW property. It's a deluxe resort with great room rates, only for military. See what your costs look like with SOG, military-discount park tickets, and food. FYI, unless things have changed recently, you aren't eligible for any of the Disney dining plans at SOG, nor Magical Express.

Looks like the current Spring offer expires the end of the month... so hopefully in a few weeks they'll be announcing something!
Do they normally have summer offers? That's a busy time for them, so it would make sense if they skip offers for the season...

Even paying full price 7 nights in WDW at a deluxe resort (plus estimated airfare) with the deluxe dining plan and park hoppers is just about HALF what our original idea of a Mediterranean cruise would cost with airfare/hotel before cruise/excursions/etc.

And people say WDW is expensive... psh...

We'd be happy with any discount!

We've never been able to use a free dining discount... just curious, is it only the quick service that is free? if you do a higher plan do you still need to pay full price for it?

No, but we received a "game on" letter in the mail good through...........MAY!!!

Yes, I would have punched my monitor if I received that email!

Yes! I have been keeping track of their discounts for a couple years now and SO FAR, once one promotion ends, another starts! So, I am also anxiously awaiting for Feb 29 because the other promotion ends at midnight on the 28th and that gets you discounts until mid June so the next set of promotions should get you discounts until Sept or Oct, hopefully! The past couple years we received a 40% off deluxe discount the beginining of February but no such luck this year!

We have never done the free dining but from my understanding it only applies to certain resorts and certain rooms at those resorts, I also think it's just the quick service meals. Anyone....correct me if I'm wrong!

The type of free dining has depended on the resort. Value resorts have typically gotten quick service, and moderate and deluxe have gotten the basic dining plan. If you're at a value resort, you can upgrade to the basic plan for the difference in cost. About $15 this year, I believe.

Some pins have quick service FD with a moderate resort stay, too. We had a quick service pin when we stayed at POFQ in August.

I have looked at SOG, and it looks like a nice resort, and would stay at it after the first trip with my kids. But I want the first trip to be onsite, a real disney experience. I am just really hoping for free dining, if not, We'll probably be heading to SOG.. Thanks for the tips!

We went in Sept. 2009 and Sept. 2010. I went in and started looking up prices for Sept. 2012 and saved an offer and lo and behold in today's mail I received a "game on" for a stay in September for 30% off Now to decide where to stay...
