Michelle, I'm the same way, I try to wait out the sinus stuff too, since a change in the weather seems to make all of the difference. Our temps have been in the 50s at night and 80s during the day, so I'm keeping tabs on my sinuses to make sure I don't have any junk getting started in aboutten days! For all keeping tabs, janabananas had dinner at Kona last night, and watched Wishes from the Poly beach. She and her BF are headed to Epcot this morning. Her checking in is making me more excited!!

2 weeks from today I will be packing the minivan and making the girls run around like crazy so they sleep well in the car on the ride down lol Just sent an email to my son's teacher, just have to get all my daughter's teacher's names. They used to have teams of two teachers and this year she has a teacher for each subject and all I have are the names for the social studies and science.

I'm just so excited. Thank goodness for the DIS and this thread so I can with others while we wait.

Just switched one more thing on our plans, going to do DHS after AK on the 25th. We've only gone twice but each time we hopped we did MK/Ep and AK/DHS so this is just crazy for us. Living life on the edge..

I just want to avoid F&W since I don't plan on stopping at all the stands and maneuvering the strollers through there last time was enough to make me want to I know it isn't officially open the 30th but I am pretty sure I read there will be a soft opening that night. And since we aren't staying off site I am trying to go to parks on their green days. Just babbling now. better go be useful

We are having the flooding here too, but not nearly as bad a central PA, it's crazy....Hershey Park and Zoo America are under water as well as Knoebels and parts of Dutch Wonderland....Green Dragon was underwater too (so much for my trip there tomorrow)....it's craziness!! Hope you all stay safe and the water recedes (sp) quickly

Yeah I've been looking at the photos on WGAL's website of all the flooding. we haven't ventured out of the house. Hubby says lots of roads are clear today but many still aren't so I'm thinking we may not venture out again today. I feel bad because DD hasn't been out ALL week except to the disney store once lol because it's been reaining the entire time.

I know the main road the leads to and from our neighborhood is still flooded out. They also lost two bison from the zoo america at hershey park. they got caught in the flood waters and they had to put them down so they didn't suffer because they couldn't get them out.

people are FREAKING out about the Bison and calling Peta (of all places) and just being jerks but I think the zoo made a good statement yesterday about why this happened. sometimes a tragedy is just a tragedy and there is no blame to be placed. I don't think ANYONE saw this coming. I don't think ANYONE for one second thought the water was going to get so high that a buffalo could no longer touch the ground. who expected that? and to flood as quickly as it did. I kept saying to hubby WHERE was the hype for this storm? they played up Irene like we were all going to DIE but I had NO idea about this storm other than it was supposed to rain all week. if it weren't for being prepared for Irene we wouldn't have been prepared for this either lol.

if it weren't for being prepared for Irene we wouldn't have been prepared for this either lol.

I am so glad your family is safe! There is so much truth in your statement. Often we overlook basic self-preservation in our busy lives. The prep that many people did expecting Irene probably provided them with gas, food and other emergency supplies when the flooding hit.

On a happy note, yeah for Shhhq - she's heading out! - Great pic.

We just got our suitcases out of the attic - time to start throwing stuff in. I may need a new spacebag for Ursula - she seems to have a hole in her's and that chick can take up a large suitcase on her own! BTW - for newcomers - Ursula is my costume for MNSSHP

Can't wait! Making my Garden Grocer order, hopefully finalizing the dog walker.....everything is coming together and I can't beleive this time in 2 weeks I will be landing at MCO!!!

7 days and we're leaving for our trip. We have a couple days drive time but we'll be staying on Disney property in 10 days. I'm so excited, I think I'm more revved up than the kids are. Can't wait to just get in the car and go for 2 weeks!!!

I have the following trips planned (I am from Miami and a Season Ticket holder so I go a lot)

September 16-19 with my goddaughter and her 2 year old for MNSHP on the 16th (first time attending the MNSHP for all of us) staying a All Star Movies
September 23-26 with my girlfriend staying off site
November 10-14 with my girlfriend for the Food and Wine Festival staying at All Star Music
December 2 - 3 quick trip with my family for the Christmas Party staying off site
January 13-16 with my girlfriend for Martin Luther King weekend not sure where we are staying yet

Thank you for the Welcome. I am looking through the Halloween Party post now for ideas.

I was born (in 1971 same as Magic Kingdom which opened on my mom's birthday ) and raised in Miami so I have been easily over 100 times to the parks. I have been twice already this year so 6 trips this year.

My entire family just loves Disney and luckily my girlfriend is a huge fan as well. We have multiple "Master Plans" with maps, ride orders, etc depending on trip length and time of year so you could say we are a little nuts (especially me).

6 days and counting. and I finally got the Airtran seat assignments done. Luckily our flight still had seats together so me and dd are good to go!

Now....to really start packing. I've been throwing things into my dd's suitcase for two weeks! I guess I now need to make sure it has enough of what we need....surely I won't have to go buy anything else but just in case. You know I did clean my closet out so I could possibly be short on clothing now....not on purpose as my dh suggest though.

For everyone that's making it a surprise - any great ideas on how to "break" the news?? This is the first time I'm doing a surprise - I tried once before, but ending up telling the kids 2 weeks before. This time it's a birthday surprise for my middle son, and my current plan is to pick him up from school that day and just say "oh, by the way, we're on our way to the airport - to celebrate your BD in Disney World!"

But, I'd really like a better way - maybe a letter from Mickey or just something more fun
