Disney sent me 'you'll be here soon' email yesterday, good thing I read it carefully because they had my parkhoppers wrong, when I called them their computer was right! So why the wrong email????? They sent me a new one and I printed it just in case! I am so excited. We cross the border a day before we fly out, so really it's 8 days!!!!!!!!

Sooo..... Did my online check in today for the second half of our split stay. Tonight I get a call from our credit card company. Shortly after the $0 amount charged for online check in, a BUNCH of fraudulent charges came in!!! None of them went through luckily because the weird activity shut the card down. But now the card that I used for both our room reservations is dead. How is that going to work at check in?? Not enough time to get a new card before our trip. And does this mean that our cc number was compromised on the disneyworld website??? *Sigh* Such a downer right before our trip.

That's really odd. I don't remember Disney ever "pinging" my credit card with a $0 charge after online check-in (but maybe they have). If your credit card company has stopped activity on your card, they can always reinstate it. Otherwise, they will completely close that card and issue you a new card number. Obviously, you probably wouldn't get a physical card in time (although they can overnight it), but maybe they can fax you documentation that would work for Disney. Otherwise, you would have to pay for your account with cash or possibly a debit card.

Hey There, I'm returning to WDW for the first time in over 10 years in less than a week! So excited, but at the same time worried. Living in the NW for the past 15 years I have gotten used to somewhat mild weather during the summer time. Is anyone familiar with WDW weather during hurricane season? Should I worry about Hurricane Maria?

I wouldn't worry--these storms sping up all the time and their paths often change (as in stay out at sea). Usually, the biggest issue with storms is making sure the airports stay open and that you are able to get to Disney when you need to get there. I know! I've gotten those emails before telling us we were staying at a completely different resort than the one we had booked. Now I just kind of take them in stride. I am not sure why they send them if they have a hard time keeping them accurate??

Weird, but good thing they didn't let the charges go through and stopped it right away.

I don't see why it would be an issue that the card you used to make the reservation is dead, they shouldn't need it again, and you don't have to link a CC to your KTW. Good luck and hope you get a new card soon

So sorry, why on earth did you get a $0 charge (or any charge) for online check-in? I give them my card when we get there, but then we don't do charging privileges.

Only 5 more days for us!! Going to get a haircut/highlight today, started packing last night!

I'm glad everyone has had good luck with their child's schools and taking them out for vacation in September ...our school has always been great, never have they ever had an issue with us taking DDs out for vacation which makes things so much less stressful for us!

Well, after getting back from vacation, I was looking through my family calendar to see what's on tap for the next couple of months. Bills due, dentist appointments, school events, etc. I came across an entry for Rapunzel's induction into the court of princesses on October 2nd. When princesses and Disney events make it into your family calendar, you know you are certifiably DIS!
