Those are neat!
Those are awesome!!! How in the world did you make those?!
Oh how fun! I want to make these now!!! Ha!
Thank you, ladies!!I had a lot of fun with them. I used a piece (8x12) of stiffened felt for the "board" so it won't get wrinkled or bent in transit. I used freezer paper
my favorite craft technique to get the character shapes just right. I used a kind of puzzle-piece technique to fit the felt shapes inside each other so most of them are pretty thick and stiff, if that makes sense. I used fabric paint for the details on the characters etc. Super fun! It took me about 10 hours I think.
the 40th is on Oct 1st so I guesss they would have to get the press stuff out before that. I am dying to know if they are doing anything as I will be there on Oct 1st!!!

Thanks for all the nice compliments on the pic everybody!
I like your idea of dressing as a family with matching themes! Makes for some very nice pictures!!
Are you going to take your daughter to the Main Street Barber for her 1st haircut? We did this with my daughter our first year when she was 15 months old. It was the cutest thing everDD didn't have much hair but it was so worth it!
They give the kids tons of stickers to keep them occupied and they get a certificate and adorable mouse ears that say "My first haircut" So cute!
Ok, for those asking.....here are some bits and pieces from an email I sent to Kellywashere. She was asking about custom boutique and requested some ideas from me that were on the cheaper side (I can also refer some amazing designers that have higher prices and extraordinary fabrics and designs as well.)
I think (?) somebody on this thread mentioned the mock smocking fabric they have at Jo Ann fabrics. I asked my mom if she would make a few dresses for the girls if I bought the fabric. She just checked it out the other day and the fabric is ADORABLE! They have 2 Minnie patterns, the pink one is my favorite. They also have Tinkerbell (my second favorite), Ariel, and one other. Plus, with those 40-50% off coupons, they will be very affordable. But will be too long for my youngest. So I'll just have to buy the youngest some dresses on Etsy.FYI, since we're talking about clothes.
That was me. I found this on another thread. The shirts look kind of neat! I really wish I had found it last year for our family trip.
Here's the link to the thread, which has lots of photos:

That Rapunzle fabric is adorable. Now I jsut need to find trhe post in this thread where someone said it would be easy to make a dress out of it!

Those felt boards are really neat! What a fantastic idea and what fun!
We did make an appointment for DD1's 1st haircut at Main Street Barber. We are very excited about it! DH says no hair cuts until then it has to be her actual first.![]()
Ha! That's so awesome! I loved that designer's paint work! I think we had one other pair from her, but I can't remember offhand. We've had a lot of painted shoes. lol. Your daughter's are SO ADORABLE here!!!![]()
Me Me
Glad you found it! I wanted to buy some but DD1 is too small for it now; but you got me thinking maybe I should buy some and save it for later.

My daughter was 15 months old when she had hers done and it was her actual firstShe didn't have much hair to cut but it was so great just for the experience! Definitely a memorable moment!
I am totally gonna do this! Thanks for sharing.
Adorable pictures, and I agree, a very memorable moment. We got my youngest her first real hair cut during our Dec trip last year. We had taken her once to get a bang trim and she freaked out so much the lady could barely cut anything. There were a good bit of little kids crying in the Disney shop too, and I thought we were in for it, but she LOVED it! Didn't need bubbles or anything, I was shocked.

I love the second photo of your daughter with that big grin/laugh! She looks like she's having such a great time! Cute!
Ok so with everyone posting pictures of these beautiful kids and costumes, I wanted to post a few pics from DD's first birthday. We are big Mickey Mouse clubhouse fans! Lol I'm creating a Disneyaholic!

Mikellacinderella----your beautiful outfits have inspired me to learn to sew. I saw how much they cost and honestly couldn't afford the amount of outfits I want so I asked a friend and she's gonna teach me to sew. Then if I do ok on something simple then I will try a twirl skirt/dress and add embroidery. I don't have the machine for that but have looked on ebay at buying a used one if possible. I am so excited to try this.
I'm not going to do too much this time I don't think. It's just so Hot and Humid in September and I want my girls to be comfortable. And I don't think my hot glue would hold up to well in the Florida sun if I tried to put some outfits together myself,![]()

I LOVE these! Great another thing to add to my To Do list!
BTW I was preggo with DD1 at WDW in 2009.![]()
All of these Harmony Barbershop photos make me want to get my youngest daughter's first hair cut there!!! Now if she would just let her hair grow...She had 10 ear infections last year and the pain was so bad she started pulling her hair as a way to comfort herself when she was in pain. She now has tubes, but the hair pulling is habit now. Maybe it will be long enough for a little trim by then...we have 5 months, right? Ha!
