Welcome to all the new September travelers!! Jump right in with sharing photos and chatting!! We're a fun group!! :cheer2:

Indeed, I'm a little disappointed, though, Amy! i checked your dates, and we're not going to be there at the same time. :sad2: I would love to see some of these adorable outfits firsthand! On the plus side, I ordered my Etsy pins this morning, hooray! I ordered one for my backpack and one for the Pop window!:woohoo:

Thank you for the welcome! We have girls the same age too. My DH has been to WDW before and marched in a parade for band, but for the rest of us this this will be our first trip. I am so excited!

You will have a blast! Your girls are a great age for a first trip. Also, my oldest was *almost* a Lily!!

Everyones posts and pictures are making me long for the days when my children were little. All but one of my four has graduated and moved out of state to college.
On the bright side my oldest daughter is pregnant with a little girl:cheer2:. Maybe I can just dress my granddaughter up and take her to WDW in a couple of years.

How fun, you get to do it all over again! My mom has gone with us on several of our trips, they love the time with their nana. Hopefully we'll get my MIL to go with us one of these times.

Really, it depends on what materials are used on the outfits. Most designer say to hand wash and hang to dry, but I'm a little risky sometimes and will machine wash, inside out, in cold water on the gentlest cycle possible and then air fluff in the dryer. I usually bring a Tide-to-go pen with me so if DD gets anything on an outfit, I can treat it right away. If you plan to resell them, they have to be in SUPERB condition, so I'm always very careful. She eats with a bib on when she is wearing her custom sets. LOL! It's not a "babyish" bib, but just something to cover her. I have the funniest picture of her eating a large soft serve ice cream cone at MK in 2008. I had taken the dress part off, put a bib on her, and jacket over her lap! :lmao: She INSISTED on the chocolate ice cream and I KNEW it would melt super fast!!

Here she is in the full outfit...before the disrobing for ice cream. lol

And.....yummy! (This was before I put the jacket in her lap)

Thank you for all the info!! I was thinking I'd have to reinstitute bibs :lmao: Actually, maybe I'll take a slightly bigger tshirt to slip over the clothes when they eat (I was thinking exactly of ice cream, very funny). Knowing they have to be in pristine condition to resell is very good to know. When I budget I will do so as if I won't be able to resell any of them, and then if it turns out I can, that'll be a nice bonus. The nice thing about having 2 girls, is I'll get 2 uses out of the oldest's clothes. An investment for the future. I would absolutely love to learn to sew, but I just have too many things to do right now. So it's awesome that there are people out there willing to make them and sell them!

:woohoo:

ForTheLoveOfDCL...:cool1: that you're learning how to sew! I love the custom boutique clothing but it is soo expensive and doubly so for me because I have two that I need to dress  I think my 4 year old will fit in some of my 7 year olds clothes from our 1st trip. I'm not going to do too much this time I don't think. It's just so Hot and Humid in September and I want my girls to be comfortable. And I don't think my hot glue would hold up to well in the Florida sun if I tried to put some outfits together myself, :lmao:

That is my kind of "sewing" too.

Here are a couple of ours.

That picture of you two with Sully is awesome!

I just ordered my pin. Thanks L-Harper!

Sharon from Mimisgirls worked with me to create this FAB set! This one will run you about $80-90. She makes the PERFECT knit applique tanks that are usually around $30-ish. Look at her FB page. She can do any characters you wish. The majority of that price was the super-ruffly skirt I wanted! ;) However, me....trying to be budgeted-minded, had her create the skirt to also match another knit tank she was making for Mikella to wear on our trip to the beach in SC in June! So the skirt will work with both shirts! If you search her pics on her FB page, you can find the cute lobster tank she made for us to match the skirt.

I want to e-mail her about a couple of outfits, but can't figure it out! I cannot seem to leave a comment on her wall either. And how do I "add" her somehow? I don't see a join button... is there a favorites in facebook?

Yes... I hardly use facebook. Any help would be appreciated!

OK - figured out the "comment on the wall" bit. I had to click the Like button first! (wry grin)

Amy---I have to agree , we are a very fun group. It's kinda said we aren't all going the same days so we could have a meet. Some of you I miss by a week or days.:sad2:
Well I am excited to go fabric shopping this morning. I will upload photos of my fabrics tonight. I think my hardest will be locating just Cinderella on a fabric. I found it online and if I can't find it will order it. I am so excited to make 1900 Park Fare so special for DD#2..

Ok the Sully photo op I will have to do. Would look so cute with the kids lost in his arms....:rotfl:

I am loving all your pics. It is nice putting faces with Dis names. Oh Today I got a box from Disney. Order some jammies for xmas...they were clearance. Also got a black messenger bag with mickey on it and something else for a friend but I can't say cause she is lurking on DIS and don't want her to know. I love when Disney boxes come to my door.
I bought some easter gifts last week during the 25% off of everything that was already 40% off sale and seeing a huge disney box on my steps made me :lovestruc

We will be there Sept 29-Oct 6.
at POFQ and celebrating DD 2nd bday
Hello fellow CT Diser!

Just an FYI: Target's Dollar area now has lots of Alice in Wonderland (animated) stuff. My local Target doesn't have it in yet but my sister's in Iowa, which is a Super Target, had a ton. I got coloring books, magnetic note pads, sticky notes, pens and journals.
Thanks for the tip, I'll have to head over this weekend.

I'm not going to do too much this time I don't think. It's just so Hot and Humid in September and I want my girls to be comfortable. And I don't think my hot glue would hold up to well in the Florida sun if I tried to put some outfits together myself, :lmao:
I figure one day of cutesy outfits is good, then a bleach pen shirt day, and I am still not sure about our uni day, maybe just a cute summer outfit :confused3 Six of us in a minivan driving down I am looking to use less space rather than more. Yay for our washer and dryer offsite.:rotfl:

I will take some pictures tomorrow now that I'm done with it and post it if you're interested! My DD's favorite thing at storytime is putting stuff up on the felt board so I made her one--felt shapes you can "stick" to another piece of felt and move around to create a scene. Should be sturdier than stickers!
Great idea. I was thinking of making felt stories for the ride down but never thought of a wdw build a scene. Great idea!

I love all the pics too. I posted some of MNSSHP somewhere in this thread and I think that's all I have of me except for our 2006 trip, but those pics would be misleading as I was about 30 lbs smaller

Hi! Just noticed a time change for Magic Kingdom on Sept 15th. Seems the closing time has changed to 6 PM ! Wishes is no longer listed for that day either.

To close that early, seems like it must be a private function. Anyone hear anything?

I know it is off season & I expect early closing & all, but we now have park closing at 7PM : Nights of Joy Sept 9 & 10; MNNSHP Sept 13 & 16 & now "something" closing the park at 6 PM on the 15th. Wishes is now only Sept 11, 12 & 14th. Early closings for 5 out of 8 nights..:sad2:

Should make it real interesting on those 3 nights!

This really stinks!!! We scheduled that day to go to MK!! We have dining ADRs at Tony's @ 5:10pm.... it will be after 6 by the time we are done.... how does that work???

No worries on the pins guys. If they are sold out when you go to purchase, just check back the next day. She will add more quantities as we go.

Another thing. Since our group is SO awesome and chatty we are about to the limit of posts we can have on this thread. (The limit is 250 pages.) So...

I have started a 2nd thread for our group! Please go HERE to see it!!!

I posted on it so I don't forget about the new thread! :)

Thanks L-Harper!:flower3: Should we keep posting here until we reach our limit?

Yes, let's keep posting here. In this past December's thread, we went over 250 pages, and they didn't lock the thread. However, we had already created a new thread, so it got confusing with members posting in both threads at the same time. So let's just post here until they shut it down.

Ha! That's so awesome! I loved that designer's paint work! I think we had one other pair from her, but I can't remember offhand. We've had a lot of painted shoes. lol. Your daughter's are SO ADORABLE here!!!:goodvibes

Great! Here it is then! :thumbsup2

It means that after you're done eating, you can get a sneak peek at whatever the private event is! ......and maybe you can pretend you're "with" them. :lmao: :dance3:

Regarding Sept 15th 6 PM closing: Don't know if this is true, but I posted about this on the Theme Parks forum. I got a response saying it is the Press Event for the 40th. True or not ? :confused3

I would have thought that would be in Oct, right around the actual anniversary. On the positive side, if it is a press event, that should mean most anything they are planning for the 40th should be in place & ready to go by then.

Any other thoughts/ info?

the 40th is on Oct 1st so I guesss they would have to get the press stuff out before that. I am dying to know if they are doing anything as I will be there on Oct 1st!!!
