If you make an early morning ressie at a park, is there a special entrance for those ppl? I know ppl line up at the front for the rope drop so just wondering how to get in?

Also, do you have to provide your confirmation number or something to "prove" you do in fact have a reservation???

Thanks!!!

Our snow is gone for now, but tonight we're supposed to have freezing rain and snow. Last week we had a high in the 70s. I'm tired of winter, bring on Spring!

Oh I know!! Last week was so nice and now this! I'm kinda depressed today b/c the sun isn't shining and I know what is coming... tomorrow will be worse :sad1:

Usually there is a CM monitored entrance on one side or the other.... and sometimes they just let you in, and sometimes they ask for your ressie info..... I don't think we ever were the whole time we were there in 2009, but you better have it just in case LOL

All you snow/ice folks...just wanted to let you know that I walked to Target at lunch and it's about 80 degrees right now. I love March in the South!!!

:lmao:

Where is my jealous smilie.....

Took a quick walk to subway and froze. DH reminded me it's nicer than yesterday and better than the snow tomorrow. Thaaaaanks..

This weather makes me want to go on the dis though and dream about Florida. :cool2:

Right now in central Wisconsin, we have a snowstorm in progress. Ice, sleet, snow and it's supposed to go through Wed night. I'm hoping for a snowday myself ;)

Congrats on the ADR's! I bet it feels awesome to have that done! Youre making me nervous now, I still have 6 days to go before I can make mine so I hope it wont be too bad!

I'm so sorry to make you nervous!! It will probably be fine; I still got everything I wanted!

Holy Majolies! Check out all the Iowa/Illinois folk!!! That is awesome!!!

All of my family still lives in Davenport so we try to get up there as much as possible.

I went to UNI for 3 years before I transferred to another school that had better class availability in my major. Of course, that was almost 20 years ago. Oooh, forget I said that. I'm not that old. Not possible.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

My next step in planning will be trying to learn how to use my sewing machine so I can make the girls some matching clothes. I'll also keep a look out at Gymboree and Crazy 8 for coordinating outfits for the trip. I try to buy a little at a time and use Gymbucks and Crazy Cash to get more for my money. 6 months should be enough to get some good stuff....I hope.

My dad taught at UNI for 35 years! I went to ISU. Cedar Falls is a nice town. Gymboree sure has cute stuff! I will probably end up making DD tops out of all the Disney fabric I have but needing to pick up some bike shorts etc. for the bottoms.

Last year we got that message with a party of 2!!!!

I thought WOW we both may be at different tables!!!! I know they are so full that they will put each of us with a different family that has a spare chair!!!!:lmao: (I was told it was standard and don't worry about it)

Yeah, I think DH and I would sit together and Alice, 23 months at the time, can go sit by herself. She's very mature!

AAARGH! NOOOOOO! Here in Milwaukee we have a ton of rain but it's only 35...I'm really hoping it's not going to turn to snow. I know we typically have spring blizzards, that doesn't mean I'm ready for it!

Am I the only one hoping the re-release FD for September. I could kick myself for not booking. I knew I should have just booked at the time. It would save us 355.00 over our kids play free package. I'm hoping that some good news comes soon. :worship::worship:

Don't forget WI! I'm two hours north of Davenport! The midwest dominates September! I think we have it wrong! We should be going when its snowing out-not when its actually nice in the midwest (like it can be in Sept!) :rotfl:

As far as I have read on all the forums is that there isn't free wifi at WDW anywhere. You may get extremely lucky and find someone that has a wifi signal from there room b/c they are paying for it and brought their own modem. I have also read that some of the DVC villas has some wifi areas but they are hit and miss so not advertised. The only place that I know that has wifi for free is Wolfgang Puck CS (I don't think it was the table service) in DTD. So that is asking a lot to go to DTD whenever you have to get online. I know that you can pay for the internet in your room but it is steep too

Thanks for info, I'm definitely going to have to look more into the wifi situation. I'm secretly hoping I can get all my postings done before we leave ( will have to do them by Sun and Wed) and then one the day after we get back because I really really really don't want to have to do school work on vacation! A lot will depend on the professor and the class I'm taking at the time. So I'll probably figure out how much it will be to add it to our room just in case so I can budget it for it. Stinking school!

I was really hoping for it before, but now I don't think we'll get it if they re release. Really leaning towards AP and TIW. I am hoping they re release it for your sake, though (and the many other people who are hoping for it)!

I've been thinking about costumes. I asked my oldest DD what she wanted to go as and she said a snake (??). She must've seen a snake at the zoo yesterday and had it on her mind, or something.

I have an Alice costume for my youngest DD. I was thinking that'd be a nice family theme. I found a cool DIY Cheshire Cat costume that my oldest DD could have (or, in keeping with her snake idea, she could perhaps be the caterpillar ), then my DH and I could be Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Like the ones from the Tim Burton movie, so all we'd need is striped shirts, black shorts and suspenders, maybe.

I saw a cute bee costume online for my oldest DD, so was thinking another idea would be she could go as that, youngest DD and I could be flowers, and my DH could wear khaki shorts and a gardeners' tool belt with some tools and gardening gloves?

Or perhaps to really simplify it, youngest DD could be Alice, I could buy oldest DD a Cleopatra costume and get her a big rubber snake to carry on her shoulders. :)

OH KELLY I too am hoping for FD as well! It will save me like 600 or more. I am on kids stay and play rt now and that gets my youngest free tickets but thats about it! FD would make my year! Oh the little things!

UNI... BLECK! (Still stinging from the loss last year, I am a KU fan and alumni).

I lived in Des Moines for a year and a half do I count as Iowa folk?

Good evening September travelers! Today is a nice, relaxing day off from work. Tomorrow may potentially be as well if this "Blizzard Warning" pans out. Gross. I thought it was spring!

Can't wait until September Florida heat and sun!

I love them!!! Count me in!! Maybe I can also get my Dis friends I am going with to get their butts over here to chat!

I am here Michelle:yay: Those buttons are a really neat idea! We will be there from Sept. 24th through Oct 1st at POP. Michelle is our travel agent and is making sure our trip goes as planned. Keep up the good work Michelle:laughing:

I'm right there with ya! I had 1 online class last semester and 2 this semester. I plan to take at least 1 again in the Fall too. I have the Verizon iPhone, so I can use the hotspot to tether my laptop to my iphone. I did that the last few trips with my Blackberry as well. Worked like a charm! I haven't taken any online classes where I've had vacations planned yet, so this will be a first for me. I'm pretty OCD about getting my posts in on the discussion boards and keeping up with all the work, so this could get interesting for me being gone 10 days in Sept. Hoping the syllabus allows for me to not pay as much attention during the time we are gone. I really wanted to take our vacation in the summer before classes started again, but the prices for the Disney cruise are just INSANE in the summer, so that's why I booked for Sept. :upsidedow

Speaking of classes, I should REALLY be on the discussion boards for those, and not on the DIS right now! Ha!
