Check out Restaurant.com when they have their sales. You can usually pick up a $25 certificate for $2-3. We use them a lot at home, but I read a thread where people were buying them for Orlando restaurants too.

I am still trying to decide what ADR I am going to try for. Right now we are pretty set on

1900 Park Faire for dinner
Crystal Palace for dinner or late lunch
Tusker House dinner or late lunch
Akershus for dinner
Chef Mickey for Breakfast

still need one or 2 more... my boys really want Pizza Planet for one of our CS

Just moved up our November trip to September. Couldnt stay away from MNSSHP! Went last year, loved it, and after much debate decided to skip MVMCP and go back to the halloween party. Since we moved it up we've downgraded from DxDDP to regular DDP. So far I've decided on the following

Breakfasts:
Tusker House
Hollywood and Vine (will be OOP, DS LOVES Handy Manny!)

Lunch:
Le Cellier

Dinners:
Mama Melroses
Cinderellas Royal Table
Ohana
San Angel
Tutto Italy
Tonys Town Square
Chef Mickeys
Teppan Edo

Have never been to Teppan Edo, Hollywood and Vine and Tutto Italy. Im sure I will change these right up until our trip, but thats part of the fun :thumbsup2

Wow! Congrats on the news! That is huge!!!

Will it just be DH and you for the special dinner? I've always wanted to eat at California Grill, but I won't until we either have a babysitter or older kids.

We also have contemplated Yachtsman Steakhouse. We chose Le Cellier over that last year and were disappointed.

By the way, we loved 1900 Park Fare for breakfast! We enjoyed the buffet and the characters were great. It wasn't too busy when we went so we didn't feel rushed. My favorite memory of that breakfast was watching the Mad Hatter trying to scoot around Winnie the Pooh and failing. Finally, he just screamed out "Move it, Fatty!" so he could get by. We laughed so stinking hard!

Thank-you so much! And thanks for the info on 1900 park Fare, sounds like you did have fun, I would have been laughing to!!

I forgot, I have a restaurant.com gc someone gave me so I can get a voucher for house of blues in dtd :thumbsup2

So glad your tumor was benign! I know what a relief it is. I had an almost 10lb tumor removed from my abdomen in October after it was missed on an ultrasound in March. Its amazing how much bettter I feel now and how long it was making me feel like junk!

Thank-you very much! So glad to hear your feeling better as well, 10lbs that is massive.

Tutto Italia is no longer in Italy. It is now Via Napoli (which excited me as I'm from Napoli!). However, the Via Napoli menu did not impress.

I think I'm more excited about some CS than TS! I can't wait for some Pecos Bill's, Cosmic Rays, Sunshine Seasons, WGPE, Earl of Sandwich :lovestruc, should I go on? lol

Last time I was in Vegas I walked over a mile each way to go to Earl of Sandwich on three occasions and my feet have scars to prove it. :sad2: Talk about devotion.

I get very torn on the EMH... I actually think I like the early morning ones a lot better than the evening ones, especially @ the MK. I feel like we can hop back and do Splash Mountain and BTMRR pretty easily, and then work out way towards Fantasy Land. We used to head right for Tomorrowland (and sometimes still do), but the more years we go, the more I learn what's best to do. Some will even say to head directly for Fantasyland during morning EMH, as this seems to be the busiest area of the afternoon. Evening just seems crazy, and crazy + crowds = an unhappy family (at least for us). Plus, I hate the mad rush for the buses in the evenings. :)

We also had great luck with the am magic hours last time we went. I remember riding all of the rides in Fantasyland before the park even opened. We never bothered with the EMH because DD was so little.

We are on DDP too, our ADR's so far:
CRT (dinner-DD's Birthday night)
Boma (dinner)
Crystal Palace (Lunch or dinner)
Hollywood and Vine (breakfast)
Mama Melrose's (dinner-Fantasmic package)
Tusker House (lunch or dinner)
Coral Reef (dinner)
Chef Mickey's (dinner)
T-Rex (oop)
Cape May (clambake dinner)

Breakfasts will mostly be in the room, we're not big breakfast eaters. H&V is the exception because DS loves Handy Manny and they both love Special Agent Oso. Hopefully the characters won't change when Disney Junior replaces Playhouse Disney.

Lunches will mostly be CS, can't wait to try WPE and Columbia Harbor House especially (heard wonderful things about the Lighthouse sandwich).

Wow You guys were very chatty today/

MgDisney- Congrates on the good news about the tumor.

As far as our ADR's I know basically where we will most likely be eating.

Since we have no little ones and DH does not really care for character meals more than likely we will not be doing any of the character breakfasts, DH also is not big on running here or there early so we will do breakfast at the Epcot resorts

Captains Grille x 4
Kouzzina x1
Boma x 1
Cape May-gonna try and slip in one Character Breakfast x1

San Angel Inn or La Hacienda de San Angel
Biergarten
Tutto Italia
Via Napoli
Le Chefs de France
Rose & Crown
Le Cellier
Mama Melrose
Raglan Road
Cape May Dinner
Captains Grille Lunch and Dinner
Liberty Tree Tavern
Tuskers Lunch/tix Nemo show

We currently have the DDP, but I think we are probably going to end up upgrading to the DxDP. If we don't upgrade we'll end up paying OOP for some of my entrees at a few restaurants.

We've only done TS dinners in the past. This trip our plan is:

Breakfast:
Kona

Dinner:
Le Cellier
Narcoossee's
Jiko
Crystal Palace
'Ohana

We still have to pick 2 more dinners. I want to try some new places so I'm going to have to make DH sit down and look at some menus.

We're booked from September 19-26. We're staying at Pop Century. It will be our boy's first trip, DH and my anniversary trip, and I lost 140 lbs and am now hot trip. :lmao:

ADRs! Woohoo! Love reading about others plans. and can't wait to make my own! In fact my boyfriend just mentioned how he wouldn't mind going back to Hoop De Doo, which we did three years ago (2008 trip). Does anyone know if the food at Whispering Canyon Cafe or Mickey's Backyard BBQ is comparable to Hoop De Doo? Because we actually both loved the food at HDDR and the show as well...and as much as I would like to do it again, I sort of would like to try something new whether its a new resort restaurant at WCC or dinner show like the Backyard BBQ. Any experiences you could share would be welcome.

Other than that here are our must do's:
TS: Coral Reef, Kouzzina, Ohana
CS: Flametree BBQ, Cosmic Rays, Pizza Planet

I'd like to try:
Les Chefs de Fance
La Hacienda or San Angel
Biergarten

we'll see how the hours play out to schedule stuff!

I wonder how warm it will be this year in Sept? I have never been, but in Jan 2009 we were miserable and frigid... but then in May 2010 we were hot and sunburned. I'd take a happy medium, to be honest. It's been an overall cold year all around, though..... Or, well, at least here being that it was -18... and that's just the air temperature. Don't get me started on the wind chill. :sad2:

I'm still tossing around ADR ideas and also the thought of DDP or DDxP. Oh, that and flights. Have yet to book those, but I'm hoping for some price drops. MSP is flying around $300 per person which is probably the best I'll get, but.... :wizard: here's hoping.

Okay, I just had to run in and tell everyone:

I'M GOING TO DISNEYWORLD.........TODAY!!!!!!

DH texted me at work yesterday to see if I could take Monday off, so I requested it and got it, but he wouldn't tell me what for. I kept trying to ask him questions and he wouldn't budge. He just kept saying he was doing something for Valentine's Day.

So finally, last night, he handed me a folder. He spent the whole day yesterday booking a quick trip for the family to leave today! We are staying at Saratoga Springs (not my ideal, but for a quick visit, I'll live) and he even got us some ADRs: Les Chefs de France for lunch, Biergarten for dinner, Crystal Palace for lunch, and Kona Cafe for lunch.

I'm still in shock! I'm usually the one who does the planning, but he had everything all laid out on an itinerary and he surprised the crap out of me!

I don't think I'll be able to do any work today.

Now, on to our ADR list for September:

TS:
CRT for breakfast -- fingers crossed
Biergarten for dinner
1900 Park Fare for dinner
Les Chefs de France for lunch
Via Napoli for dinner (meeting some friends)
Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner

CS:
Contempo Cafe for dinner
Pecos Bills for dinner
Cosmic Rays for dinner
Flame Tree BBQ or Pizzafari for lunch (can't decide)
Sunshine Seasons for lunch

We always do Biergarten for dinner and we already made plans to meet our friends at Via Napoli one night, so those are really the only ones that are for sure on the list. DD wants to do CRT, so I'm going to try for that.

Of course, some of these may change in the course of the next month. We are always changing our minds.
