Morning everyone!

Welcome to all the new September travellers! :goodvibes We are getting quite a list going.

Sheila- yay for the extra day!!!!!! That is going to be wonderful!! Your DH is so accompanying....:rotfl2:

LH-- forgot to say that I love your countdown board! Your children are going to be so excited-- they just truly don't know what is in store for them!:lovestruc

Hope all is well in the waiting game.
Another work week has passed-- we are that much closer to September!!

Good morning! Its a cold one today here in Southwest Wisconsin. Highs are single digits, windchill is negative in the double digits. A lot of schools are canceled...but work isn't for me. Yet I find myself looking at the park hours for last year and when the MNSSHP's fall during the last week of September. We plan on getting there Sat.,Sept. 24th...and it seems there was a party that Saturday last year. Well that may just inspire us to go to that first one or definitely to get Hoppers, because we like to go to MK first to ride Splash Mountain and then continue touring whatever we have planned!

I also read either on this planning board or somewhere else that usually they do a soft open of the Food and Wine, during the last days of September...does anyone know if this is true?! Because we leave Oct. 1, and I would looovee to check it out a bit before it gets crazy busy that opening day before we leave.

Stay warm!

As I look out my window and see nothing but snow I just keep thinking I will be in Disney Sept. 13-23rd. :yay:

We were there for that MNSSHP last year.... :thumbsup2

And we went to Epcot on Thursday Sept 30 last year...and they had most of the F&W booths open. And if I remember correctly it wasn't supposed to start officially until Oct 2 :yay:

Aww, thank you! I don't really fully even know what is in store for me at WDW! :goodvibes I get goosebumps when I think about it! {...and emotional}

As I look out my window and see nothing but snow I just keep thinking I will be in Disney Sept. 13-23rd. :yay:

:thumbsup2 YES! Keep thinking this. I have been doing the same. It is SO cold here, I'm just counting down the days... 229 to be exact! :woohoo:

So, I keep debating if MNSSHP would really be worth it for us this time. The boys will only be 2 and 4, so I don't think they'd be able to stay up so late. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

It is going to be even better than what you have imagined. ::yes::

Being that it is your first trip and the boys will be so young, I would probably pass on it this time. Although I hear it is fabulous, everything is going to be new and fabulous to you guys, so I'd save the party for a future trip when the boys are a little older and can enjoy it more.

Just my thoughts!

Yes they hold a soft opening on the Thursday before opening day each year of the F&W, for the cast members to work out any kinks at the kiosks, but anyone can partake of the offerings, although it is not advertized. In fact that is how I talked DH into adding an extra day to our trip, since Fantasmic is usually on Sundays and Thursdays we would have to either skip Fantasmic or the soft opening of F&W, but if we added the Sunday at the beginning of our trip ...we could go to Fantasmic that night

We leave on the 2nd Opening day is Sept 30th this year but they do say opening weekend is very very crowded...even so I do plan on going there for at least a little while on each day:)

Good Morning-

We got another 6 inches of snow last night, schools are closed (of course), I am ready to move to Florida, after all that is where "old retired folks" go :rotfl:

Now to convince DH. He keeps saying he wants to find a part time job to suppliment his retirement benefits and I keep pushing he could work at Disney

FYI-not sure if any of you guys have been thinking about calling to see if you might have that 40% pin so many Disers seem to have gotten that extends into December of 2011, well I found out today No PIN # FOR ME. :sad2:

I called cause I did not get an email confirmation after modifying my reservation yesterday and while I had the CM on the line I asked her very nicely to check for me, she was quite happy to do so but saw nothing :sad1:

So unless a miracle happens it looks like I will be with you September people for good, I just want to go when it is a littel cooler so bad, but I keep telling myself how the crowds are way less in September than in October which helps a bit .

We haven't done MNSSHP yet either. My DD has just been young and you never can predict how they will be by time it starts. If we do it this year I just might wait and take my chances to get tix when we are down.

POFQ 9/28-10/8 30 year anniversary :goodvibes F&W:banana:.

LH -- I would probably skip MNSSHP this trip as well, if I were you. Your boys are going to have a great time without it and you can wait to take them when they are older and will really appreciate the special event.

We do the party because we have our older DD who is 8 (she'll be 9 when we go next) and she enjoys it. We, of course, take the little one, too, but she doesn't get as much out of it. She was only 18 months at the last one.

I keep trying to talk DH into doing an adults only trip for F&W sometime. We hit soft opening in 2008 and it just wasn't enough!

September newbie here!

So I started pushing DH for a September trip the last couple because his birthday is in September. He was like, "Probably not. We'll see." Then today I told him that I had a dream we went to MNSSHP and he dressed up. He make a comment about how its going to suck to spend so much money (which means he's giving in :lmao: )

So now my goal is to get a 40% off deluxe pin code so we can book!

Never hurts to hint hint hint about September being "Value Season"

good luck on the pin # :wizard:

I love MNSSHP. We went two times during our last trip. We moved our trip up to the first of September in order to use Labor Day to get a longer trip. I really hope we can get in at least one MNSSHP. I will be bummed if we don't but I would rather have the longer trip.

So, I need ideas... our last 2 nights are going to be at AKL and I was just hoping to relax and hang around our resort. We might do an hour or 2 at a park on our last 2 days, but I'm not planning on it. We will be paying out of pocked for meals on those last 2 days too. I'm hoping to eat rather cheaply. Where at or around AKL should we eat? At least for our first night, while we're still on our dining plan, we're going to eat at Boma. I just don't know if we're going to want to eat 4-6 meals at The Mara. :confused3

I wouldn't want to eat more than one or two meals at The Mara. We thought it was okay.

We've only eaten at the restaurants at Jambo House, so I'm not sure what is available at Kidani Village.

Are you going to have a car available at all?

No car.
