I've been dreaming of Disney all day! :cloud9: Sadly, I haven't been planning though. I feel like I can't do too much more until they release the park hours.

I feel the same way--there are just too many unknowns at this point. (Oh, and woohoo for me:cool1: I just learned how to Multiquote!)

Howdy fellow travelers

I see you all been working on your park and ADR schedule too, I have been using the Disney Travel Agents calendar for 2010 to get a tentative schedule for my upcoming trip......here is the link to the thread- post #2 has the links to the individual calendars :)

Happy Planning

Thanks for the reference. :thumbsup2 I'm not sure I can wrap my head around trying to figure it out right now, though. :confused3

I really hope the September dates from last year are going to be close to the same this year! I'm having a really hard time here waiting for MARCH to plan my days!

Between Fantasmic, MNSSHP, Wishes, and Magic hours, I'm just overloaded. Once the real hours are out I'll be able to spreadsheet it and figure it out, but until then.... :sad2:

I do have some definite ADR hopes, though:
Boma
Tusker House
CRT (for DD's Bday)
H&V for breakfast (DS loves Handy Manny and Oso)
Crystal Palace
T-rex

Marce

Ok, so how the heck do you multiquote? :confused3

The kids were watching videos on the wdw and universal websites. They are definitely suffering from cabin fever!!

Maybe I am just odd, but I find checking previous years schedules a big help in starting my planning, even touring plans etc base there early predictions on previous year, I know there is a chance Disney will change things like they did last year in starting MNSSHP later upsetting many who planned their trips based on 2009 party dates. I would just rather have a tentative schedule and have to switch a few things around than scramble to work out a complete park schedule days before I need to book my ADR's since there is no telling when Disney will put out the park hours and I am just too excited to wait :rotfl:

Since I've never been to WDW before, I didn't know if it would be good or not to base my plans on last year. Are the plans usually the same from year to year?

When you read a post you wish to reply to, click on the icon on the lower right had side with the quotation marks, it will change color , do this to each one you want to reply to, be it one , two three ect........then when you are ready to post click on post reply on the lower left hand corner and they will all appear on your reply post.

The trend has been with Disney to keep the schudules similar, fantasmic is always on Sundays and Thursday, Sat are usually MK late closings no way to predict for sure as Disney constantly changes park schudules such as when it first comes out they will only list one fantasmic on a thursday night adding a later show maybe weeks before but if they had two shows the previous year there is a good chance they will the following year also

Thanks for the link Sheila! :thumbsup2 That's very helpful!

Everyone's plans look great so far! :goodvibes

We are under a 2 hour delay here because of freezing rain (I work as a substitute at our school). I am scheduled to work all this week. The kids and I are heading out here in about a half hour or so. Have a great day of planning and chatting ladies. I will check in through the week when I can!

We had today off anyway so the ice mess outside is no big deal for us. Although the gray skies aren't exactly cheerful....

I ordered Sorcerer's Apprentice off amazon and am patiently waiting for it now. Maybe we'll use it for a countdown night. Anyone here see it? We haven't. I had earned reward points from opinionoutpost and swagbucks so I didn't have to pay anything for it  And then I'll get to add to my DMR account too. :cool1:

Morning everyone!

It's a cold dreary nasty day and I am so looking forward to sunny hot weather.

Remind me I said that when I do an update from the parks, say around September 4th?? :thumbsup2

Shelly be safe out there. yuck. Oh and have a good day with those sweet little darlings.:goodvibes

I have looked at the different websites, at last yrs hours and have a tentative plan. I don't think we will be doing a ton of TS meals this time b/c it is going to be so dang hot and mostly I'll eat a lot of salads anyway.

DH has already told us that we are going to be touring the parks without him most days-- he'll likely get up and go for a run/to the gym and then head to the pool while we run grab FP's and ride all the rides we can. Then we will head back to the resort around lunch to have some pool time with him. (He's an old lifeguard, what can I say????):)
He works so super hard and his idea of a great vacation is doing nothing- so we will all win doing it this way. He'll go to the parks with us at night- and most likely Epcot days too.

So that's my plan so far.

In other news...
I got my box of pain yesterday.

What's that you say?

P90x.

:scared1::eek::scared1:

We start as soon as I can figure out what i need to do.
Sigh.

I'd better make brownies for dessert --- we won't be seeing those anywhere around here for awhile.

eeeek!

Question about using previous years schedules...

Do you follow the dates or days?

I follow the days of the weeks, ex: 2010 Mon Sept 27 this year 2011 Mon Sept 26 so on and so forth :thumbsup2

Good Morning -

Another wintery day here, they closed the schools last night we picked up another 3-4 inches, it has not turned to ice here at my house like it is suppose to, well at least not when I just had the dog out at 10am in fact it was almost pleasant out there no wind calm and very pretty from the over night snow but the road are terrible from what they are saying.

I am now trying to decide if we want to do fantasmic, I asked DH and he said he don't care, but he knows I want to  He is such a big help. I am thinking since we will be staying at BC this would be a good year to stay late to see it since we can if we want walk back, the thing I hate about staying late for anything is the transportation nightmares at the end of the night :scared1:

I am also seriously thinking of booking an IllumiNations Cruise, we were suppose to share one last year but then had to cancel our trip.
Has anyone here ever done one? If so was it worth the $? I haven't mentioned this to DH yet but I am thinking as long as if I can find people to share it , how can he object ......Plus it is the perfect year to plan doing that too since it departs from BC.

My head is spinning with ideas about this trip and I think DH is sick of me talking about it :rotfl:

This trip for us is all about the "food" we decided to go with the DxDP so we could try all the restaurants we have been wanting to for year and could use the snack credits at F&W Festival of course that was when we were going late October and it was suppose to be cooler , but in any case I know from when we have been to Disney when it was hot in late August and June we liked eating TS to get out of the heat and into the A/C for a break from the heat.

I think we will be planning on extra resort time in the hotter afternoons, me at the pool and DH will probablly just stay in the room with the A/C and a book and TV he is not a pool person but I am thinking of telling him if he wants lunch he has to come to the pool on at least one or two days

Today is already looking up, as I learned how to multiquote! Lol. Good question and advice about following days or dates!
Got 4 to 5 more inches of snow here yesterday, and lows are suppose to drop to -5 by tomorrow...brrr! Just bought a house for the first time (actually moved in Dec. 20th!!) , and have to say its the most satisfying shoveling I've ever done. Been listening to Disney stations on live365.com to keep me in a warmer state of mind!

Planning I've done recently has been scoping out flight times. Out of Milwaukee, there is a Southwest Flight that least at 7:30 am and arrives in Orlando at 11:30. There is an Airtran that leaves at 7:35 a.m and arrives at 11:20 a.m. Prices (including baggage) will determine which we go with. Really excited about what I found for a return, AirTran has a 6 p.m. flight leaving Orlando, arriving in Milwaukee at 8-8:30 or something along those lines!! Right now we have a 7 day basic ticket...so I'm going to add an 8th day to our ticket for sure! We've never gone to the parks the day we fly out just because our flight times have never allowed it. I'm super excited! I also want to add waterparks for sure. Up in the air about hoppers right now. Gotta look at the park hours a little more and figure out restaurants before we decide if we're gonna get hoppers or not I think!
We will be on the dining plan
TS Must dos right now: Ohana, Coral Reef, Kouzinna (never been but a must try!)
TS I'd like to try: Chefs De France, La Hacienda or San Angel

Any other suggestions?!

We have favorite CS's in just about every park: Cosmic Rays, Flametree BBQ, Pizza Planet, Sunshine Seasons or just about country in Showcase!

I am thinking about a late return flight too not sure yet but if we do I will have to add a park day to our tickets too. We did that when we went to DL and it was nice being able to have Breakfast, Lunch and extra park time before leaving for home.

I was just looking at Kouzinna's menu last night , it looks interesting, also considering Ohana and Coral Reef. Chefs de France and San Angel are on our want to try list and I have to go check out reviews on La Hacienda for Illuminations viewing, whether it is good or not:confused3

I know we want to do Rose&Crown hopefully get and outdoor table for Illuminations, right now I have a few too many on my want to eat at list and have to widdle it down or convince DH to add a day or two , I am secretly hopeing to win the lottery :rotfl: I would be quite happy with one more day I think ............

DH put in two requests Marrakesh and Teppan Edo for this trip places he has always wanted to try and I did not but I figure to schedule them during the F&W so if I do not like the food there, I can grab something good at the F&W Kiosks afterward.

We are a chatty group. I was looking at some other groups that have been going longer than this one and they don't have as many views or posts. It's nice to have people to keep me distracted and excited for the next 8 months, 5 days

I've been to TRex, it was really neat! We sat in the ice cave! So cool!

Ok.. Does Garden Grill still have character meals? And is Lilo & Stitch still at the Poly?

TinyDancer's mention of MNSSHP reminded me I think that buying tickets for the Halloween Party is the little something special I'm going to do for my boyfriend for his birthday! He loves the Magic Kingdom (specially Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Pirates) and we went to a Pirate and Princess Party the first time we went to Disney together-so I think it will be nice! Then I may not need to add that 8th day...cause we could just go to a waterpark the morning we have the party. The real question is should I attempt to keep it a secret and surprise him? Sometimes I'm really awful at keep surprises, especially Disney ones to myself because I get too excited about it! We'll see how it goes!
