September 2011 - The Planning Has Started!!!

I booked the Around the World on a Segway tour for my dh. Now the hard part is waiting until Father's Day to tell him about it. I'm not good at keeping these kind of secrets! He will be going with my cousins dh and I think they will love it!

I think you already had your question answered regarding the debit card option instead of the credit card, but I just wanted to say we are doing BBB as well! Last year we used the DTD location one morning and then headed over to Epcot for lunch with the Princesses at Epcot, and spent the rest of the day wandering Epcot, showing off her BBB "do"! My DD was 4 1/2 on that trip. ;) Here are a few pics!

Those pics are great. Is that the dress that comes with the package? It is GORGEOUS!! DD got an ariel dress for her bday so we are going to use that.

Well, my planning is slowing down right now as I am pretty sure the transmission just went yesterday. So I am not feeling mega thrilled right now. Oh well, better now then when driving to Disney right?

Oh no! Ugh, I hate when the car breaks down! :headache: So sorry!

12 days and I can make ADR and ressies at BBB and Pirates League :)

My girls have done BBB several times and it has been great each time but we might want to try something different this year so I'm thinking about making ressies at the Pirate's League on our MNSSHP party night! I think my 4 year old, in particular, will love it because she is a huge Jake and the Neverland Pirates fan, lol. She wants to be Izzy :cutie: I like that the Pirate's league appeals to both girls and boys!

Thanks for this info, I wouldn't have even thought to look for T-Rex coupons!

You're welcome! If you go to the Wild Bunch Kids Zone section on the Rainforest Cafe website you'll see a link that takes you to kids rewards calendars. Just help your kids either complete one of the calendars, read, etc before your trip, and you can bring it in for a 99 cent kids meal with purchase of adult entree :cool1:

Landry's owns both Rainforest Cafe and T-rex so the coupons will be honored at both locations. There is also the option to sign up for the Safari club if you live near a Rainforest Cafe (have to go to the restaurant to sign up) and you can get coupons, etc for Rainforest cafe/T-rex.

I think we are definitely going to try T-rex on our DTD day!

just joining in over here~ 2 weeks till adr time for me! i am going to be at all star music from september 26 - october 6th... i had booked bounceback last year so free counter service dining for me YAY!!

That is what my girls are doing this year PL. I'm hoping to make it around 4 or 430 the evening we are goingto MNSSHP. I'm hoping like last year they have it 3 nights so we can go Thursday instead of Friday. That would work better for us.

Does anyone know the specific's on PL. I do know even with a costume it comes in alot cheaper than BBB.

Good Morning September Folk,

Just wanna do a little of this: :dance3:

and some of this: :woohoo:

and now that's out of my system...

Has anyone ever done the MNSSHP on a Friday before? Wondering how crowded it would be on a Friday at the end of September. Although, I went back and looked at the days of the week they had the party during the last week of September '10 and it looked like it was on a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Not sure where I read that the events usually happen on Tuesday and Friday. I think we're going to splurge on this for our 4 year old, in lieu of lots of character breakfasts.

The Photopass CM's are out and available even though the park isn't technically open?:scratchin

Yes. At least, they are at MK! Our ADR was for 8am (MK offically opened at 9am). We entered MK about 8:15am and arrived at CP by 8:30am.

At AK I never had a chance to find out. We had 8am ressies for Donald's Safari but arrived too close to 8am. We were not allowed early entry as AK had a morning EHM that day. If we had shown up about 7:30am, we would have been allowed into the park I believe.

Well I haven't tried it at DHS - I've read other people who have early ADRs at Hollywood & Vine and said they get their photo in a nearly empty DHS by the hat.

Epcot FW - we weren't there early. We were in WS before it opened at 11am but I never saw a PPP on our way to Akershus.

I noticed in your Siggy you staying at CSR. How did you come to pick CSR? We stayed there once before pre-kids and loved it but to me it has a adult feel.
Dh would go back there in a heartbeat. But I'm trying to pick things the kids would like.

And I've decided against the Fantasmic dinner package. As much as I enjoy the show, I just don't want to spend that much time at DHS.

I decided against it as well. We're going to visit DHS on a morning EHM instead, finish what we want to do there and hop to MK to see the Electric Parade. Another night we will finish up early at a different park and hop to DHS just to see Fantasmic. I figure as long as we enter DHS about 6:30pm, we should be able to get straight into line and wait for Fantasmic.

Now I can use the TS credits on a different meal that I really want! :goodvibes

Ohh, I am booking that for my husband as a surprise as well! You'll have to tell us how it went afterwards.

I want the 7:45-9:45 or 8:45-10:45 time slots so we tour WS while it's empty. I have a hard time keeping secrets and don't want to tell him this until we gain early entry to Epcot. :goodvibes

Opps - my siggy isn't clear. The CSR trip was last year with our kids. This year (just DH & I) we are staying at POP.

I actually booked POP last year - after I got over the sticker shock of the deluxes I always wanted to stay at... :lmao:
But... it was our first vacation *anywhere*. And I had a hard time adjusting to the overly bright large theming...

Once I found out CSR had queen beds (instead of double), a slide at the pool, a fun looking play area for kids, included a fridge (instead of paying extra for it), AND how scerene & beautiful CSR looked, I couldn't stop talking about it. It was only going to cost us about $500 more to upgrade and if free dining came out (which it did!), we wouldn't have to pay the difference to go from QSDP to DDP (which we wanted). I upgraded before the FD was annouced and am so glad I did!! We all really enjoyed CSR. I found the staff was amazingly friendly with the kids (from the Dig Site/pool, to the gift shop, and Pepper Market). :goodvibes

Ohh, and the kids loved the hammock outside our room! They were 11 and 6.

This time, we decided to save the extra money and spend it on some extras. We're going to re-do MNSSHP, Around the World Segway Tour, and the Wishes/Dessert Party. DH does not know about the last 2 items. Plus get some extra snacks & drinks around the world!

Though... I keep eyeing POR now :rotfl: It just looks so beautiful! Love all the green, the trees, the river, a river boat ride to DTD & back... how do I convince myself to upgrade *this* time?? :lmao:

I know, I love the look of the mansions at POR! I was originally booked at POR until I realized they will be under refurb in September. Since we wouldn't be guaranteed a refurbished room, we switched to POFQ, which will be done with the refurb by then. I guess POR will have to wait until another year for us!

I *really* want to stay at CSR. Do you know if they have nice water play areas for the kids? ie spray jets or zero-ish entry kid's pools? My young girls prefer those over big pools.

ETA: Just found this on WDWINFO

Very cute. And my girls would love the sand play areas. Uh oh, now I'm hankering to switch. Gotta go crunch numbers ...

I really think I'm going to try to talk DH out of the IllumiNations cruise. I just don't think we need to do it this trip.

Hey, guess what?

I get to make my ADRs on Sunday!!!!

:banana::banana::banana:

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get most of want I want pretty easily. The one I have to work on is CRT. That's at the top of the list. Once I have that in my grubby little hands, I'll work on the others.

Have fun making adr's.

Maybe you guys can help me. I am hoping to get a few things when we go this year and since it is our first time I'm sure that I'm going to be using all the extra money I have on extras for us. Can anyone tell me where I can find....

1. Children's earrings (real gold or sterling silver, we have the nickel allergy)
2. Diamond earrings (for me and then I can say I got them at Disney)?
3. Is there any where to get a family caricature drawing down?

There was something else but I can't remember and didn't right it down but it will come back to me I'm sure :)

How much is it to do the cruise? I don't see the pricing listed online.
