September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

I'm BACK! How was everyone's weekend?? I decided since the hubby was working all weekend, I'd take the kids and my dad to orlando for a Pre-September weekend. Septemer is too long away!!!! I stayed off property , but we had a great villa through priceline at Mariott Residence Inn.
So...Friday we arrived at 11:30am and went straight to AK. lines were typical Everest 60 mins, kali rapids 50 mins, we did both. Oh I still smell the roasted Pecans and Almonds!!! . We saw Festival of the lion King and ate lunch at pizzafari (pukeyfari if ask me ), We went to Dinoland but the tours were invading so we left and then the thunder came and everything was closing, so we left for the room-and it poured all night, so we just lounged in our hotel with board games. It was fun family time.
The Brazilian Tours were a little outta control, but not near as much as the heat-104 saturday. We made it to HS for rope drop and lasted til lunch. I ran straight to TSM for FPs!!! I got them There was NO sight of the tours!!! I beat them. So then did the new Star Tours ***** 5 stars!-We rode it twice with 2 different experiences its so awesome. it was rope drop the wait was 5 minutes-everyone else was either RnRC or TSM!, after that we it was our FP time for TSM !!!, then kids and my dad did RnRC and TOT while I shopped and after that, it was unbearable and it was time to go. We went to MK around 7pm. It was great. lines were 20-30 mins for everything, but Splash Mtn was 110 mins and Space Mtn was 80 mins most of the night-we passed on both. Wishes was amazing-as always- and we passed on the Parade because we were online for Big Thunder. By 11 pm it was time for monorail my kids were exhausted.
Today we were in Epcot. We made it to rope drop 1sst one on Soarin, then FP for test track, over to Mission Space and then Spaceship Earth. After that FP time! After Test Track we had a quick lunch at Electric Umbrella, then did the Living Seas followed by The Land and Finally Figment. We were done with FW by 3pm and it was so hot we decided to go-so we got in the car and hit the Florida Turnpike South to Palm Beach. By 5:45 I was home, looking for something to make for dinner... its Spaghetti night!!
It was a great weekend-as teaser for September when I can stay 6 nights and ride a bus, oh and eat!!!! Staying off property we had a room with a kitchen we cooked dinner, and the hotel has a great breakfast buffet. So no meals in disney for us...this trip. I cant wait to check into the AKL!!! It was all I could do NOT to go and peek, but I wanna have the ohh ahh feeling when its time for our trip, so I resisted....

Just noticed I forgot to asked to be added to the list lol - we r at POP century Sept 24 - Oct 1 - celebrating nephew's 9th birthday and half our group are first timers - its also my dmil first time back since her honeymoon about 38 yrs ago - my dfil passed away 6 yrs ago so this will be both special and hard for her... But she's excited to go!

Holy cow, I am done with my sewing/stenciling projects! Unless I come up with more before we go... I hope you guys are interested in some of these because I'm posting 'em! Who doesn't love posts with a whole lotta pictures, right?

This is what I'm wearing to MNSSHP. Took me about 4 hours and I kind of feel like I should do the back too but I am totally burnt out on it.

Also for me. Hopefully I don't get in trouble for using their logo

My favorite fabric ever! It's so Mary Blair! DD's going to wear this to Epcot but it's very Small World.

Nemo dress for Epcot, my first ever applique so it's not very good.

Minnie iron-on patch & freezer paper stencil tshirt! Super easy!

For Crystal Palace breakfast!

For AK. I got the dress at Kohls on clearance and added the Mickey head.

I feel so much better about the trip so rapidly approaching now that all that is done. I didn't even post everything I've made so phew!

I've been looking, for months, for a bag to take to the parks at Disney. I wanted something to go over my shoulder that I could take on rides with me. I need something that will hold my wallet, camera, etc. I just found 2 awesome bags from somebody selling 31 products. I've never heard of them before but I'm going to get them just in time for our September trip. So excited!

My little girl who is 6 has a bag from there that she uses as a dance bag. It is great quality!!! I'm sure you will love what you bought!

I have a ton of Thirty One bags and LOVE them. They are great quality and so cute! I had a party and got a TON of stuff free..

One of my BFFs is a thirtyone consultant, and she had a party for me in January. I have bookoos of it! I have a weekender and medium purse that will serve as my luggage, as well as a pop crossbody that says Disney Diva across the front. The backpack I will be carrying in the parks is one of their cinch sacs, super cute and lightweight. Excited!

2 months to go for us - was doing a little packing and inventorying to see what i have and need - result - think I have more than what I need lol

What is the one thing u pack others may not think of?. I packed large ziplock baggies for wet ponchos / clothes

I pack the ziploc bags as well, but I think the majority of what I pack is really pretty standard for a DISer. I need to start gathering my stuff together, it seems that time is getting away from me!

I have posted on every thread for Sept 2011 and I have yet to see our dates on a single list. We will be at POFQ from 9/10-9/17. please add us! We are doing mnsshp ttfdp and 8 other ressies. Everyone in the fam except for dh thinks I've gone mad and that I have disney ocd. This is dd's first trip and dh and i havent been in 15 years. I'm super excited and I have macademia nut pancakes on the brain. They look so good! Finally got dd who is 6 to decide on a costume today. She's going as belle. And dh got his wish today, we changed our ressie fro teppan to biergarten. I know you fellow dissers have the aching for the mouse right? I hope I'm finally going to see those big eyes of excitement from dd that I have been so longing for. Wish us luck!

My ticker is under two months! It's starting to get close, everyone! It's hard to believe that some of us will start traveling in 4-5 weeks. I keep trying to get everything together, but with school start taking a precedence (and being back on 60+ hour work weeks) I can't seem to get much more than a couple of things arranged before I run out of time. Good thing I have all of my lists together, so I can pack commando style all in one shot if I have to!

Welcome to the thread!! We are pretty chatty so just jump on in.

I actually went and bought patterns for my girls yesterday! I am going to try (and I stress try) to make them matching halter dresses in Cinderella blue for CRT breakfast.

Since we will be at MK for most of that day, I wanted something special for breakfast but easy enough to wear all day. I found a great calico fabric in a blue as close to Cinderella's color as possible. It's got a small flower design on it so it should be too hard to match up at the seams. And it was on sale! Woot woot!

The dress is pretty much straight stitches with a little elastic in the back. My fingers are crossed that they will look okay.

One of these days, I have to go out and actually shop for myself. I need some new cute summer shirts, but I haven't been able to find anything I really like. Ugh.

Baby K has a 15 month check up today, hoping he does ok with the shots...he had a Febrel (sp) Seizure after the last set. Can't wait to see how much he as grown. DS4 is doing great with his swimming lessons and we can't wait for the water parks this year since he will LOVE the slides....may even get him snorkeling at Shark Reef....
