September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

:welcome: to the thread! I have you added to the first post! :dance3: I would love what your plans are with that DxDP! popcorn::

9/5: 5:30pm Flying Fish
9/5: 9:10pm Wishes Dessert Party
9/6: 11am Tutto Italia
9/6: 7:30pm La Hacienda de San Angel
9/7: 11:30am 50's Prime Time Cafe
9/7: 6:30pm Brown Derby
9/8: 8:15am Crystal Palace
9/9: 11am Yak & Yeti
9/9: 5:30pm Kouzzina's

Still need to add lunch and/or dinner on 9/8 and our "good-bye" lunch on 9/10. Desparately seeking LeCellier for any day, any time, but no luck!!

We found them in the outdoor section of our store in the same area where the lighting, plumbing and paint sections are. That was in May so they may have moved to fall season items by now.

Thanks, I'll have to have another look. I went through the camping section, and their seasonal section and couldn't find anything. I might just save myself the headache and order off ebay, depending on shipping since I'm in canada.

I'm curious: do you all plan everyday a park day or do you take time to relax and rest and enjoy the resort?
This is our first trip (since Disneymoon) without kids.I'm looking forward to just quiet time not rushing to see and do everything to just relax.

60 days here!

Is everyone planning on using the online check in?
I don't know. In 09 when we went they had no one working the online check in line so I stood there. And stood there. While the others were all being helped. Oh the irony... :cool2:

Just found out that my best friend and her family will be going to disney for part of the time we are there!
Fun!

We're going to be there in Sept, too! Right now we're booked at POP for the 19th through the 24th (ROOM ONLY PIN CODE WOOOT WOOOOT! :goodvibes Preferred Room for $65-$71 per night (depending on the day) ) We're ok with no free dining- we're vegetarian and like to bring in most of our food anyway.

I THINK I have convinced DH to go down on the 17th.... if we can rent points for BWV for 2 nights for...oh... 9 bucks per point... here's crossing my fingers! We won't have any more PARK days, but at least we'll be down at Disney 2 days earlier :goodvibes and have a pool to swim in... a boardwalk to eat at.... boats to ride around on... a swan lobby to smell...

Ok maybe I'm nuts. :rotfl: :confused3

Anyway, we have ressies at Raglan Rd, Via Napoli, Jiko, and the Wave... and will eat at ESPN as well. We're also going to try Parasailing at Bay Lake with Sammy Duvalls!!! A trip of firsts!! :cutie:

I would say we have downtime parts of several days. We like to go to the parks in the morning when it's a little cooler and less crowded and go back and relax in the afternoons. We bought the APs with the water parks and more option this year so we'll be doing them and disneyquest on parts of some days for a break. We also go on a tour or 2 and that helps to get away from the park routine. Since it's just the 2 of us usually we are a little freer to plan on the fly.

We tour sort of odd. We aren't park comando we go for 10 days so we don't need to. We just sort of work around our adrs. If we have 4pm reservations sometimes we will leave the resort at 2pm to close. Then someday when we have breakfest adr we will spend the day and leave by 5pm or so. We also have a resort day worked in there and a water park . I'm not one to leave and go back. Usually my youngest will fall asleep in her stroller for a hour than she is good to go.

We like to incorporate 1/2 day's to one full day in as down time just to explore and not rush around sleep in swim, etc. It makes the vacation seem more like a vacation! :rotfl2:

I'm not sure I will do online check in...we requested connected rooms and if we don't get them I don't want them to have to work on my check in while other people who did online check in wait behind me....We are staying at POR and I am hoping the connecting rooms won't be an issue....we are travelling with my parents and I think my boys would be upset if they couldn't just go back and forth and sleep in either room.

54 more days to go for us! I can not wait!!! Still have a ton to do....need to order our stroller rental and our tickets for MNSSHP yet....I started on our Mickey tie dyes today and am trying to figure out the best way to do an Incredibles one for DS4....

I haven't been on DIS to post (mostly lurking and researching for our trip) but I didn't know that this thread existed till today....But I found it, I'm Here!!!!

We are heading to WDW from 9/12-9/18 and staying at POR. It's my Mom, Dad, Hubby, DS4 (will be 5 a week after our trip) and DS1 and me.....We are super excited. This will be DS1's first trip, a birthday celebration for DS4, and Hubby's first trip since he was five (was only a day trip that he doesn't remember)

We have all of our ADR's done and are getting tickets for the MNSSHP, but haven't decided which night yet, probably Friday. I have been planning and researching everything to try and make the trip awesome for everyone!

Can we be added to the list of those going to be in the world in September...I think we got missed....:confused3

:welcome: to both of you! I have you added to the first post! :dance3:

We haven't made it through the trail or trek yet with our kids. We started one time and realized it would be too long and too hot to attempt. I would totally vote for Rafiki's Planet Watch. I don't recall much walking, just hop the train, pet some animals outside, and see some stuff inside!

There is quite a walk from the train station to the Planet Watch building. If you are looking for more animals, definitely go on one of the trails. They are set up so you can do them at your leisure, and there are places with fans along the way.

We get up early, get to the parks at rope drop and then take time to go back to the resort and rest, use the pool midday, Then we go back to the parks for our dinner reservations and to keep playing all night!

Where do I find out about the on-line check-in? thanx
When you sign into the Walt Disney World Resort page, Click on My Disney Vacation at the top of the page. The second option in the drop down is Online Check in. Hope that helps!

We just got back from Cedar Point!! Great rollercoasters, but it isn't WDW....it was sooooo HOT we were melting my DH kept saying we were training for Disney! I honestly cannot remember it ever that HOT in Disney in Septembers passed. It will be intersting to see what kind of weather we will get this fall.
