September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

I'm not sure I will do online check in...we requested connected rooms and if we don't get them I don't want them to have to work on my check in while other people who did online check in wait behind me....We are staying at POR and I am hoping the connecting rooms won't be an issue....we are travelling with my parents and I think my boys would be upset if they couldn't just go back and forth and sleep in either room.

54 more days to go for us! I can not wait!!! Still have a ton to do....need to order our stroller rental and our tickets for MNSSHP yet....I started on our Mickey tie dyes today and am trying to figure out the best way to do an Incredibles one for DS4....

We are gonna be at POR as well... we arrive the day before you and leave the day before you.

We are doing a surprise trip in September for the kids. We are staying at AKL from sept. 28- Oct. 2. We will see how long I can keep it a secret. We were planning on going in June next year like we always do, but we couldn't resist trying f and w and MNSSHP. I hope that it's a fun as it seems.

We're surprise the kids too - there are 5 of them all together (not all mine lol) - we've been planning since January so I am shocked we have been able to keep it a secret this long - DD thinks we are planning on going next summer ;) so its helped to keep the secret - if things slip we just say we are thinking of next summer... :thumbsup2

Amazing really because it involves 5 different families... and not one has messed up - DH almost did - was called for an interview while DD was with him and he had to mention needing time off for a vacation - we think we covered up by saying we had thought of moving trip up but changed our mind & I hadn't told him yet... :lmao: hope she bought it...

Sounds like so much fun. Yeah, I don't have as long to keep it a secret as you. We just returned in June. We always go to the world in the June or July. Next year, we were planning on going again but we are trying to plan our 10th anniversary trip and we are thinking of somewhere different. So...we thought what better than to just move up our Disney trip but not tell the kids. They were watching youtube videos of the MNSSHP and my son went crazy over the Headless Horseman and HM. I thought about it and we have never done anything like this so I think they will really enjoy it. I hope to keep it a surprise until we get to the airport. I guess we will see. lol.

:welcome: to the thread! I have you added to the first post! :dance3: Good luck keeping your surprise! I don't know how you all can do that. I would burst at the seams...

Congrats to the trips getting paid off! I forgot to post last night, but ours is now also paid in FULL!!!! :woohoo: :yay:

Yes, it is ALOT. But my DH and his family are British and the Brits like their sit down meals LOL. Besides we have to make upgrading the plan worth the extra expense. Eating is going to be half of our trip this year. I am glad we went with 7 days and not 5 like we were originally going to do.

I'M PREGNANT! :)

I had my first ultrasound yesterday and found out that I'm a whopping 17weeks and 3 days pregnant. I had no idea! I've had almost zero symptoms and goodness knows I'm not showing at all. I've even lost weight! I was on the pill and it's one notoriously known for irregular periods and intermittent spotting so I didn't think anything of the craziness there.

It also looks like I'm having a girl. The tech said it was a little early to tell if it's a girl for sure, but with the lack of boy parts and some vague girl parts, she's pretty darn sure it's a girl. Everything is looking great!

I'm so THRILLED! :goodvibes

This does, however, put a wrench in our plans for Disney World. We're definitely still going to go unless something drastic happens between now and then. I'll be 25 weeks (I think) when we're down there. I think we'll now be skipping Animal Kingdom because, of the few things we do there, I can only do like one of them. Does anyone have any tips or tricks I should keep in mind?

So excited for you!! Congrats!!:dance3: Girls are the best, we have 2:cutie::cutie:, though a healthy baby is all that matters. I would say that most rides will be fine..25 wks isn't that far along to be uncomfortable. Just drink lots which of course means pee lots and all the time! Maybe find a shaded area and take a towel or blanket and just lay down and people watch for a little break, cause you will get tired faster! I mean U can still do backlot tour, Toy Story Mania, I mean that little twirl the car does in that ride shouldn't be any big deal. I would say I would avoid Rockin Rollercoaster, Tower of terror, test track:rotfl2: Though those are common sense ones. Most Disney ones aren't fast or crazy!!

CONGRATS!! :cheer2:

I was ~20 weeks pregnant last time we went to WDW and it was great. I didn't mind skipping the rides I couldn't go on. Anything with a height restriction is also not recommended for pregnant women. Just make sure you rest, stay out of the heat for a long period of time, drink lots of water and relax! Good tips for anyone really!
