September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

We r headed to mnsshp too on the 27 and definitely dressing up ;). Planning on characters from alice in wonderland. Dd and her bff are going as tweedle see and tweedledum.. working on their costumes - more like the updated version - lots of black &white with red suspenders if i can find them lol.... Sj is def mad hatter and i get to be Alice with a twist of mad hatter lol... Now to find the time to make this happen :dance3:

I think MNSSHP is going to be the place to be, from the look of it we're all going to be there!:woohoo:

Hmmmm.... The touringplans crowd calendar doesn't have anything higher than a 4 for the entire time we're there.. Sept. 23-29. What days are you going to be there? I know that when I booked our trip in March for Beach Club there were no studios left for the 29th but this is in the Villas. Thanks, April

I think what it is. Alot of the resorts are SO during that week for FD already. But this is the second time they have offered FD. I know the week we are going there is alot available right now.

I need another dining reservation and need your guys' help. It's on a day that we'll be in MK all day and we don't mind leaving the park. We're already doing Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace on different days. This will be for dinner and for 1 TS credit.

Was trying to figure out something to suggest, but not sure where you already have adrs for.

We had a similiar problem last year... we wanted to do something out of MK and we looked at the places accessible by monorail... we ended up going to Grand Floridian Cafe... the food was great, but we felt the decor was too posh for our taste.... since you have young children, you might not want that either. How about Ohana? I have never been but hear good things.

We are going to Ohana already on a different night. What resorts are on the Monorail?

DH's dad will very likely be joining us for part of our trip in Sept. I'm not sure where he will be staying yet (probably GF) but he said that if we wanted to have a night out, he would watch the girls for a while.

Soooo, last night, DH and I went ahead and booked Victoria & Albert's!! We have always wanted to eat there but never had the opportunity. I can't wait!!!! It should top off a great trip!

Today is our 60 day mark!!!

I did get some things off our list this weekend. At least most of the harder stuff. Most everything else is just a walmart trip. :thumbsup2

Just realized that now we are flying SW, we can take extra bags with no fees. WooHoo! We can now pack costumes for MNSSHP. Mine is Ursula and all those tentacles were not going to fit in a carry-on. The biggest (pun intended) problem I have now is whether or not to work on weight loss before our trip. Gotta fill out that costume!

Where did you find an Ursula costume? Do you have a pic??? I wanna see, LOL.

Down to 88 days! Feels good to log into disney.com and see that number! Especially after I started with 226 days!! DH's family just got back from CBR on friday and showed us a bunch of pictures of the resort. They had a great time and said DS will love the pool, which I was hoping for! They also got him a shirt and 2011 jacket to wear on our trip so more clothes to be put away for packing. I cant wait to pull down the luggage :rotfl:

By the way, has anyone heard about them opening up Chef Mickeys for lunch this year?? I know last year they had some lunch dates during the free dining promo and was kinda hoping theyd do it again this year.

I am freaking out at how close Mickey is getting to the end of the ticker!!!!!!!! :dance3: :cheer2: :cool1:  Can I make it to September without exploding?!?! I also realized something absolutely fantastic today... DH is going to have 16 full days off of work to spend with us! September 5th is Labor Day, then he's taking off the 6th, then we leave for Disney for 10 days. I am bursting at the seams! He has been so busy with working full time, going to school full time, plus coaching that we haven't gotten a whole lot of time with him lately. September is going to be amazing! :cloud9:

Glad to hear positive feedback about CBR! It will be our first time there.
