September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

I never had any idea that booking ADRs was going to be this difficult. So far we've got, all for dinners, Coral Reef on the 11th, Chefs de France on the 13th, and Narcoosee's on the 14th. We DID have Brown Derby on the 12th, but then I realized that it was a 2-credit and we only have 1 available. :headache:

I want to go back to Prime Time, but DH doesn't. We're going to be in AK that morning and HS that night. I have NO idea what to do. I'm thinking we're just going to go somewhere in between for food and then head to HS from there. Any suggestions?

Tell me about tweaking! I have a ridiculous amount of ADRs that DH and I need to go through! Do you need a CP breakfast on the 27th? Bc I am most likely canceling the one I have for that morning since I got an 805 for another day. Its for 7 people if that helps and at 8:25

We will be there at 8:05 am on the 27th if you keep that day! :thumbsup2 I hope to meet some Dis'ers this trip. We have never been lucky enough to before.

I actually ended up cancelling it, but we will be at Magic Kingdom that day and attending MNSSHP as well on the 27th so Im sure there is a chance we will get to meet anyways! :goodvibes

WDW's site is down for maintenance; maybe they're getting ready to update specials for the rest of the year?

DBF and I just talked over our itinerary and want to change our dinner ADR's as our plans have changed.... and the Dining website is down for maintenance!!!!???? :confused3 :badpc:

At least no one else can schedule anything and grab the ADR's we are hoping for....

Hey everyone!

So, my first sewing class went better than I expected. We didn't do much sewing, but I feel good about what we did do. I actually kept my stitches straight and felt good with my corners. That may not sound very great to anyone, but I have never once sat in front of a sewing machine before today. I didn't even take my machine out of the box until last night. :lmao:

The classes are a series of 6 classes. The next one just discusses fabric and patterns which I'm looking forward to.

My girls may actually have a mom-made something in September...if I get the time to do it before then.

Ok, I'm starting to chew my nails a little bit and squirm about the crowd level for my week. The Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Contemporary are all completely booked all but 2 bedroom suites during my time frame. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's all convention goers and they will mostly stay out of the parks during the day. Could make evening touring crowded though.

Hmmmm.... The touringplans crowd calendar doesn't have anything higher than a 4 for the entire time we're there.. Sept. 23-29. What days are you going to be there? I know that when I booked our trip in March for Beach Club there were no studios left for the 29th but this is in the Villas. Thanks, April

It sounds like you're a natural! It's a great feeling when a sewing project turns out the way it should!

I spent some time sewing DD's Tink costume tonight and I have 5 or 6 other outfits lined up...my ticker says 2 months and I'm getting a bit nervous but I can do it!

We were originally going in October, but Delta changed our flights and we were going to miss our connecting flight so they gave us a full refund and now we're going Sept. 14-21. It's our first trip to WDW and it's a surprise for our kids. I can't wait!

Welcome to our thread! We're a chatty bunch, so feel free to jump right in!

This honestly makes me feel better, I'm super concerned with crowd level. We're not hopping, so I would really like to do EMH parks, but Touring Plans always makes me a little leery of them. We may try to take in the extra hours if the crowd projections are still pretty low. Back to fiddling with our itinerary!:rotfl:

We're there the same time, the 24th-28th. :) If they raised some levels to a 4 then they went up. A couple weeks ago nothing was higher than a 3. I just go on and look every so often to see what availability the have on the WDW website for other hotels for those days and it's slim pickins' at any hotel that has a convention center attached, but like I said, I'm praying that those convention goer's stay out of the parks during the daytime.

:welcome: to our group! Yes, just jump right in and chat. I have you added to the first post! :dance3: Would you like me to add where you're staying?

:lmao: OK so someone who understands me...:rotfl: I feel the need to keep stalking the ADR's in hopes of something even better. So I went on and got CP for 12 of us the morning we do MK--at 8:05--we have lunch that day for CP and my group will probably wanna keep lunch instead as they won't wanna miss the special opening at the rope drop. But at least I have it for now for a discussion about either rope drop or a special pic in front of cinderella's castle in an almost empty park...Hmmmm :confused3

That is fine Michelle. I dont mind having 8:05am ressie's. Norma wont care either. We both have eaten there several times so if we leave early to make rope drop then that works out perfect. Empty park pics and rope drop!!!:goodvibes

We're doing MK on the 26th; your group is still planning on MNSSHP on the 27th, right? I really want to be sure to meet up with you if possible, at the party or at Petals either way! How's everything going this summer at Cedar Point, by the way?:woohoo:

Did you get 8:00 ressie's on the 27th yet? I hope you can! But if not then we will definitely see you at MNSSHP! I am still trying to figure out what my husband and I are going to dress up as. He is not all that keen on the idea, but too bad!!!

I need another dining reservation and need your guys' help. It's on a day that we'll be in MK all day and we don't mind leaving the park. We're already doing Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace on different days. This will be for dinner and for 1 TS credit.

I made a few changes to our ADR's for the trip. Sept. 10th -17th. First I booked the CP for 8:25 am on the 11th, so we can get into the park early. To get that I will give up a ressie at Chef Mickey's for 8:45am. Also going to give up one at the Tusker House for 9:15 am on the 14th.

I have seen people posting that they are giving up times and to see if anyone wants them, is this a common practice and how does it work?

And I guess while I am on the topic, is anyone interested in these time slots?

Unfortunately, no, I'm still trying though!;) That would be my preferred date and time, for certain. None of us are dressing up, but the girls and I will be sporting orange and purple tiedyes so we oughta be conspicuous. I'm going through...ahem... a CHANGE, so I get too hot for much more than a Tshirt at the drop of a hat!:rotfl2:

I finished my PTR, for the most part. Details might change or be added. I love reading everyone elses, they all sound like so much fun. :cool1:

It was really warm there. Mainly in the high 70's but that was just fine for us. We came home to weather in the 50's, so 70's was :thumbsup2.

I am still debating if I am dressing up for MNSSHP. My kids are and I do think it would be fun. I just dont know what I would be. Halloween is my favorite "Holiday" and I love dressing up parties, so I am sure I will think of something.....maybe:)

We r headed to mnsshp too on the 27 and definitely dressing up ;). Planning on characters from alice in wonderland. Dd and her bff are going as tweedle see and tweedledum.. working on their costumes - more like the updated version - lots of black &white with red suspenders if i can find them lol.... Sj is def mad hatter and i get to be Alice with a twist of mad hatter lol... Now to find the time to make this happen :dance3:
