Just wanted to say good Morning to everyone. It has been raining here for almost 2 weeks straight. Saturday the sun came out and it was beautiful. But it hasn't been seen yet. I really hope all of summer isn't like this.

It's been pretty miserable here too. We are supposed to go camping in three weeks...and I am *not* excited about camping in the damp and cold weather we're currently having.

We've actually had a very nice 4 days of a lot of sun. It's not to say that we haven't had any rain in the past 4 days, just that we've had some sun. It is currently sunny and not raining. I am thankful!

AHHHH!!! My ticker is at 3 months and 2 weeks. CRAZY!!! I have to admit, I'm actually getting nervous about our vacation. Ten days with two very little boys. I feel like I have so much to do, but can't really do anything right now. Is that weird? Normal? It's a strange anxiety feeling I've been having about it for the past week and a half or so. Am I just crazy?

Just when we think things are going so badly for us, we turn on the news and see that lots of people are so much worse off. It is so sad about the DISers who lost their lives in the storm. The timing was uncanny. Also, prayers for those who lost loved ones and for those whose loved ones are having health issues. Really puts life into perspective, right?

You are not crazy. There is a lot to do to get ready and so much cannot be done until just before the trip. I'm a list maker. An extensive list maker! It helps keep me organized until I can actually start the packing process. Maybe that would help you.

You'll have a great time! Just make sure you are attune to the boys and get them rested, fed or to a pool when needed. It's so easy for them to become over-stimulated, but since you'll be there for 10 days (I'm jealous!), you can afford to take your time and have plenty of down time if needed.

DH and I are leaving one day after you are! Maybe we'll see you there. We are staying at WL.

I totally agree!!! That is why we go for 10 days as well...no need to run around like a crazy person. Take your time and take it all in.

You may already know this from the Port Orleans website, but the renovation is expected to commence June 26th with Building 80 (Acadian mansion). So that building number should be a good one to request!

Good point. I think Magnolia is next. Maybe I'll just follow the update a bit and see how on schedule they are before I make any requests!

Hi Everyone! Been gone for almost two weeks I had a lot to catch up on!

My husbands mother had a cousin pass away so we had a trip to St. Louis on the 9th and then got home and settled and got news that my husbands grandmother (his dad's mom) had a heart attack and she passed away this past Tuesday so another trip to St. Louis. Been a hard two weeks. Glad to be home tonight and getting into my own bed.

Now that we are home and I know that this summer is going to be difficult as we go thru grandmas house I'm thinking it would be good to do an upgrade to PORS. It really doesn't add that much to our trip as we paid to upgrade to table service anyway.....it sorta evens out...in my mind.

Anyone stay at PORS? What do you think? It kinda looks like it will be a little more quiet and relaxed then POP. And we will probably need that come September.

We are staying in PORS for the first time, having been to POFQ before. I"m so excited! the pictures of the grounds are just gorgeous!

Sorry about your tough couple of weeks. My dad had a heart attack on Thursday....he is struggling. He already had a triple bypass years ago so I don't really know what they plan on doing
Anyway on a happier note....we stayed at POR a few years ago and loved it!!!!! This year we are staying at POFQ, this will be our second time there. They are both equally good, I just like that PORQ is smaller..everything is so close.......we are always dashing to the bus

I am sorta worried about the bus situation for POR compared to POFQ...any advice?


My heart goes out to everyone caught up in the Missouri storms, and I'm saying a prayer for everyone who has a family member under the weather or just lost a loved one. Definitely puts things in perspective. Live life to its fullest and enjoy every second of it.

I'm another 10 day person. The one thing with 10 days we did this last year. You can just go with the flow.

We are doing something everyday. The night we go to MNSSHP we are going to TL the next day which don't open til 10am. But we are doing 2 full days at MK and Epcot. Last year the crowds were so lite we pretty much did everything at least 2 times.

We have finally decied to get our tickets for the party of the 20th like we originally planned. I will probably order them next month. We have 2 ad'r scheduled and a Pl reservation. I'm still wating for the desert party to open up also. We have lots of extra's scheduled for this trip. Which I'm excited for.

Yes, I would just keep your eye on the website updates. We still have a good three months before September, and alot can change in that time. There is still plenty of time left to make requests!
