September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

Thanks for the link... ordered mine!

Funny thing popped in my mind while filling out the form....
Why do these sites always ask you to confirm email....
the exact email you just typed it above....
all you have to do is type the exact same thing again...
how secure is that?:confused3

Good morning, September family! I didn't get a chance to post pics last night, because I just realized that there really aren't any recent pics of me! :lmao: I will try to find something this evening that is a reasonable likeness, so the ones there for my dates my have an idea of what I really look like.
Thanks for the responses about the BP medications! I've never had to wear a high SPF (my DF is American Indian, so I'm super duper dark skinned anyway), and I don't tend to burn, so it's the first time it's been a big concern for me. Luckily I carry a high SPF anyway, because my older DD and my DH are pasty peeps (younger DD is even darker than I am), so I'll just use what they're using!:rotfl: I'm a little annoyed by the new regimen right as I get ready to leave for Florida, but I'm trying to smile and behave like a big girl!:cool1: I'm coming off caffeine entirely, so once I get past that I'll be more content!

Anybody have a sharpie on their packing list? I always try to take one - at least to mark the mugs. We have 5 in our family, and I really don't want to switch mugs halfway through :scared1:.

The September trip will be our first trip to Disney without the kids. My DW (Not a Disney Lover) thinks we will not have much fun. Silly Girl.

I love going with the kids, but my DH and I have went twice without them and had an amazing time. We take things slower because we only have to please ourselves. We meander through WS picking at food if we want to, sharing drinks, or just sitting on a bench. We rediscover each other. I won't say its better than with the kids - just different and equally wonderful!

Good luck with the caffeine withdrawal. I would suggest weening yourself off of it instead of going cold turkey. If you think you can maybe reduce to 1 coffee or soda a day (which ever is your beverage of choice).

I had a really hard time at the beginning of last year when I first got sick. I have CHF and cardiomyopathy. I take 6 meds for it. NOT FUN!! ;) I had to restrict caffeine, chocolate, salt, food intake, certain physical activity.... Pretty much I could lay in bed or sit at my desk at work and drink water and eat carrots & unsalted peanuts. UGH!! Luckily since I started taking my meds, I am doing much better and I can relax those rules, but I do limit my caffeine intake to a cup of coffee and a soda a day and keep track of my sodium intake. While I am on vacation though, I am not gonna worry about it as long as I stay hydrated. I will only be at WDW for 4 days. That is my own feeling though. My doctor might tell me different.

Good luck with everything. If you have any questions or anything else that I might be able to help with, please let me know. I am more than willing to give my personal experiences on this.

Our itinerary is so laid back this trip with no kids its kinda like this (and depending on the hubby and his laid backness may be even more pool and sun time and change)

9/6 Arrive at resort relax pool side. Dinner at Whispering Canyon and HS for Fantasmic then Boarwalk

9/7 Typhoon Lagoon, dinner at Cape may Cafe, evening at Jellyrolls

9/8 AK, Dinner Spirit of Aloha, Back to either the boardwalk or DTD for the night

9/9 Epcot, nightime we have tickets to Rock the Universe at Universal

9/10 MK morning, hotel late afternoon poolside, late 9;30 dinner 'ohana

9/11 HS then drive home.

17 days baby!! Love all my Disboards friends but I'm not hoping to meet up with anyone (not to hurt feeling) its our first trip alone and we just want it the two of us!

I am right there with you. I would love to meet everyone, but I don't want to "plan" a meet at the parks, we have ADR's set and that is the only planning we wanted. I don't mind meeting up for a drink poolside at the resort while DBF is napping though. If you are staying at POP, and see a lady sitting at Petals with a drink in hand wearing a tie dye tank top and DIS green toenails, that will probably be me!! ;)

I was saying hello to person on the other end of the line in the UK phone booth.

That was me 3 yrs ago, before I got sick and gained about 50-60 pounds.

Groovy! Glad you got it!:goodvibes

I think the DISboard might have crashed for 5 minutes because I couldn't do anything.

7 days left. :thumbsup2

I have been so busy today with dance things for the girls and getting my house ready for a b-day party. That I haven't really had much time to concentrate on the trip. Also been doing laundry the girls are all packed it just myself. Which probably wont' happen until Thursday night.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
