How have I not seen this thread before?!? I'm so excited to join the super cool Sept 2009 Wedding club. I don't have a PJ, and don't really plan on doing one as the planning is stressful enough! But I'll update any major plans here as they come along.

DF and I have been engaged since Mar. 2006 and had planned on getting married Sept 2008, but we needed more time to save money. So Sept. 26, 2009 is now the official date. We are having our ceremony at SBP at 5:00pm, with the reception at the Boardwalk Resort. We are planning on 75 people attending and luckily my parents are funding the wedding, but only to a certain amount. Anything over and Sean and I will then have to step in. So budgeting is definitely a must!

So far, I have booked Randy Chapman for photography, Lejeune for makeup/hair, and Charming Events for the reception decor. We've put down our deposit to Disney, but are still waiting on actually getting assigned a Wedding Planner. I have so many detailed questions that can't be answered until I get one, that it's killing me.

We're going down for our PS on March 19 so we'll finalize most of the details at that time. We're really looking forward to it! We've also somewhat decided on Raglan Road for the Rehearsal Dinner and are inviting Bridal party members and their families only.

I look forward to hearing everyone's plans progress as the countdown begins!!

I am another September 2009 bride!

My name is Stephanie and my fiance's is Dave. I am a 41 year old divorced mother of 3 boys (7,9,16) and Dave is a widower. We met through an on-line dating service in June 2007. He is an absolutely wonderful man who is the most caring person I have ever met. Most men would run from 3 kids but not him- he is the father that there biological father will never be.

Dave proposed to me at the wishing well behind Cinderella's castle on out December 2008! It was absolutely perfect. My 9 year old took pictures!

After debating what to do, we decided that getting married at WDW was exactly what we wanted to do. We are getting married on September 16, 2009 at 10am at the Sunrise Terrace at WL. We are having a lunch after at WCC. It will just be me, Dave and my (our!) 3 boys!

The planning session went fabulously. We pretty much have everything planned out, and now we're just waiting on the budgets. Which I'm sure will mean re-planning as we decided it might be better to be inclusive to begin with. So, everything I wanted I said "yes" to. I really enjoyed the menu tasting and so did DF. It actually managed to get him interested and psyched for a Disney Wedding. Not an easy feat since he would be just as happy tying the knot at the local court house. We'll see if his enthusiasm lasts though...

Hello
My name is Laura and I just found out about this forum. I am a September Disney Bride! My fiance and I have been together for 9 years and will be getting married on 9-9-09. I am a school teacher and my fiance is in restaurant management so even with help from our families we can't go OVERBOARD with the cost of the wedding. Our first vacation together was at Disney and we were enagaged at Disney. My plans are as follows:

Ceremony - 12 NOON Disney's Wedding Pavilion
4:30 - 8:30 Pre Reception and Reception - Grand Floridian St. Augustine
8:30 - 9:30 Dessert Party- Sago Cay Pointe
Wedding coordinator Meri
wedding consultant was Joe

I see that are more 9-09-09 brides out there. What are your plans?

I am feeling so BEHIND and stressed now after reading everyones lists. I still have to get my bridesmaid dresses. MY Maid of Honor also my sister is being so impossible!

My planning session is May 27th. Am I supposed to be booking anyone like photographers and videographers if I'm going through Disney or do they do that then. What about flowers. I'm so confussed<

We leave in a week for our PS. I had a really hard time picking what to put on the tasting menu; I had no idea what some of the choices even were! It's great that your DF is getting interested in the wedding stuff though! Mine loves Disney and is really excited about going, but the wedding part is just taking time away from him riding Rockin' Rollercoaster. Now, if I told him we were wearing camoflauge and getting married at the Coors beer brewery, he'd start making favors! :lmao:

Congrats! You're date is 6 days after mine. We are getting married at the WP at noon on the 3rd with a reception in the Whitehall Room. We're all getting so close, I can't believe how time is flying by!
