September 2009 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Canceled

I have another reservation at 6 for GG and I was concerned it might be canceled. Do you know how that works? Last year I got a phone call when I was accidentally double booked and they asked me which one I wanted to keep, but I'm not sure if now they give a warning before canceling. The two ressie's aren't at the same time so I'm not sure if that would be considered a double booking.

anyone know??

I have read on these boards that Disney will cancel your ADRs if you are double-booked. I was skeptical, however, as it just didn't seem like the Disney way of handling things. Since I have a situation similar to yours, I asked a Disney Dining agent about this earlier this week. She responded by saying that while they don't encourage double-booking, Disney will NOT cancel your ADRs without asking you first. She said the system allows it & their guest policies (the ones you have to acknowledge you've read when booking online) don't make any mention of double-booking being forbidden.. thus, they will not cancel your ADRs b/c you have not broken policy. She went on to explain that a Disney rep MAY call you if you have a resv double-booked to confirm it is not by mistake (and thus ask you to cancel one), but they usually only make such calls a week or less before your arrival. So, based upon what I was told, you should be fine to hold onto both ADRs for a while longer. (Although, you may want to confirm that with another dining staff member.)

If you have Mama Melrose party of 2 to trade 9/21 or 9/22 for Lecell 9/22 9/25 or 9/26 party of 2 let me know please . thanks

Thank you so much. That's what I thought would be the case, but I wasn't sure. I'll call too to see if I get the same info. Thanks again!:goodvibes:

I just happen to call them tonight...actually I called three different time and spoke to three different CMs just to see what the response to double booking and got the same answer from all three of them...BELIEVE IT OR NOT!

I am basically doublebooked one night and was concerned over losing all my ADRs. There are 3 in our party. I have LeCelliers booked for 9/23@5:55 for 4 ppl under my name and 1900 Parkfare booked for 9/23@6:00 for 2 ppl under my DH's name.

I was told all three time that it wasn't a problem at all. When I questioned her/he about what I have read on a forum (here) about Disney Cancelling all ADR's for double booking this is what was told to me...

If someone happens to Doublebook, it will send up a warning to the CMs. If it is one or two during your stay, they MIGHT call you and see if you know it has happened...if you are dining seperately (as in our case) or didnt realize you were doublebooked. If it is 3 or 4 during your stay, they WILL call you and see which ones you don't want and cancel those for you. BUT they WILL cancel All ADR's if there are more than 7 doublebooking during your vacation. They know ppl will book and book so when they get to WDW they can decide then..which leaves open tables. It seems to be a real problem during Free dining (her words...not mine). Disney is trying to stop that(I totally agree) so if they see it is an ongoing thing during your trip...they COULD indeed cancel all of someone's ADR.

I was also told that I wouldn't have worry about it since they are booked in two different names...even though it is the same resort confirmation. Disney does realize that ppl dine seperately at times while they are there or dine with friends and one person makes the ressie for all of them. If you are booking for a group or dining seperately...he told me that it is always a wise idea to let Disney know and it can be listed on the reservations.

Hopefully this will help clarify canceling ADRs and doublebooking. :)

If you have Mama Melrose party of 2 to trade 9/21 or 9/22 for Lecell 9/22 9/25 or 9/26 party of 2 let me know please . thanks

Are you looking for the ressie at dinner time? If not, there is availability at MM for parties of 2 between 3:00 - 4:00. Hope that helps....

I'm looking for Captian's Grill for 5 on 9/27 - earliest dinner seating, 5:00? (does anyone know when they start seating for dinner?)

I am also looking for CP on 9/22 for 5 ppl, around 4/5:00.

I just cancelled a table of 14 for dinner at 'Ohana on Sept 3rd at 5:30pm.

My family cancelled on me after they saw the prices :rotfl: They aren't on the ddp ;)

Hope that it opens up some tables for others! :goodvibes

Hi! Just saw Le Cellier available on line for Sept 15 @ 5:45 pm for 4 . Hope this helps someone.. Good Luck!!:)

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that someone may have a ressie that can't keep for the 28th of Sept. for lunch with an Imagineer. This is not included in the free dining , but I am more than willing to pay the additional price for this experience! PM me and leave a message and I will get back to you! :worried:

I would like to trade our Le Cellier ADR for a different day.

What I have:
9/9 at 6:55 pm for party of 6 AND
9/10 at 11:45 am for party of 6

I will trade either of these for a 9/10 dinner ADR between 4:30-6:30 pm for party of 6.

If I am able to trade, then whichever ADR they don't want will be up for grabs. If I'm not able to trade, I will have the 9/9 ADR to give away. Please PM if interested in trading, this thread moves too fast to keep up!

Thanks!

OK guys, I have never done any ADR trading before, so I hope this makes sense!

Le Cellier, party of 3 at 6:25 on Saturday 9/19 - would like to trade for 'Ohana for 4, Monday night, 9/14 times between 6:15-8:00 pm

No, my travel companion was going to call and cancel and she got side-tracked, so I called it in today.

The cast member kept saying "Are you SURE you want to cancel LeCellier?" :lmao: I told her I'd probably be making someone very happy.

Hope a DISer can grab it!

.

We just cancelled (online so I hope it went thru):
9/23 Teppan Edo 8:10pm 17 people
9/24 Yachtsman 7:55pm 17 people

Still hoping for a ressie at the Epcot Grand Gathering on 9/25 for 13 or the Backyard BBQ 6:30 on 9/24 for 13. Any ideas??:worship:
