Okay gang of wild Monkeys I just got back from mailing out all of those gift bags and some extras. They asked if I was sending alcohol and I said who me no wayyyyyy!! so they opened my package anyway and I had to show ID so they knew how old I was maybe it was just the person pulling someone on me ( I know them personally)LOL!! But I did not have an ounce of alcohol in this box but will be with the next one. HAHAAHA!!!!

About a month ago we brought an express pack to the Post office and even though it contained papers they made us open it up to show them it was papers and put it in a new express pack. The clerk said it is a new law because of the fear of mail bombs. They said never to drop a pack in the mailbox or it will be opened and repacked. I don't know if that is just our town or everywhere.

No angwill I dont live near Rockford. I used to live in Arlington Heights but we just bought a house and live near Great America.

I have finally brought the suitcases upstairs. Its a start right! I am just so tired today. I think I may be getting sick Everyone around me is sick so I would not be surprised if I get sick.

crzykid, I am originally from Ohio but have lived in this small hamlet, south of Indianapolis for 30 years, more than half my life. Portage is way up North of here so I guess I am safe from you coming to beat some sense into me.

How do you ALMOST live in Wisconsin? Are you like those kids on the Internet who move into someone's abode unseen and undetected or something? As interesting as it sounds it also sounds like a recipe for disaster, however well intended. Sort of like couch surfing. THAT I might have done when I was younger though.

I love your sense of humor. I was reading this at work and laughing and people there were looking at me like I was nuts. If I drive 15min north I will be in Wisconsin. I wish I could just live somewhere undetected and rent free then I would have more money to take more trips to see the mouse.

crzykid, I am almost scared to say this but my house is so very big and I so seldom go upstairs that I could have a dozen or more folks living here without detection (as long as they use no utilities). The porch roof might get a tad bit dirty though. I might be willing to take in a few strangers if they do chores though. I am happy I made you laugh. It is what I live for. My kids used to ask me what I said to different things and I always seemed to say "I laughed". I had not realized that until they pointed it out. Might as well laugh as cry. Feels a lot better too! I carry my suitcases down and you carry yours up. Maybe we should switch houses or at least where we store our suitcases??

Mom2Evie, someone else on this thread is going for 24 days also? I thought I was the only one who was trying to move in a month at a time. We are going back for a short ten day trip in December. (am I confused again? nothing new, if I am) Can I blame this on my hearing??

angwill, my little boy was 6'5 and still sitting on my lap when no one was looking. I miss that kid and worry about him. No matter how old we are we always need our moms. No one else except God would put up with as much.

I filled my travel shampoo and conditioner bottles, I bought a mini-candle from Yankee for the room (Labor Day sale - $5!) Ummm.... I filled my little travel perfume thingee! YIPPEEE!

I know where both places are. I grew up about 12 miles west of the loop and used to camp with a friends family in Zion up near you. It's nice to know there are other Disney lovers nearby. My best friend despises Disney so I can't even talk to her about it.

My son is 12 and he is as 5'6 like me. I have a feeling he will be well over 6' tall and I guarantee he will still try to sit on my lap like your son when he is older too. I have 4 grown brothers that my mother still worries about too.

I am wondering because I have read that at some airports they will throw out generic bottles but the rules are that as long as it is marked as 3oz it is ok in the baggie for carry on. Any advise?

I have heard to NOT use those generic bottles for carry on... AT ALL! So, I would not risk it. But that's just me. If you want your stuff right when you get to the hotel, why not ship down a small box??
