Anyone booked for the Wonder Labor Day cruise 2007?

We're going! Just booked this week. 3 cabins for our family group of 9. We are celebrating my sister's graduation from college after a on again, off again course over 19 years. We go 2 of the secret port hole rooms and one inside room. We are on a wait list for another cat 10 room on the 5th deck.

Wow, that's great that you got some of the secret porthole rooms!

There are 3 of us - me, DH, and DD. We wil be celebrating DD's 8th birthday and DH and my 15th anniversay. We are on Deck 7. Is this your first cruise? It will be for us.

We are going to WDW in November  . Have y'all been lately or are you going any time soon?

Where do you live? We are from Louisiana.

Are y'all going on any excursions? I don't think we are. The only ones I'm really interested in is the dolphin excursion or the stingray feeding excursion.

Look forward to talking planning and dreaming along with you!

Bumping to see if anyone else is going on the Labor Day cruise on the Wonder 2007

We're just doing the cruise. We live fairly close to WDW, so we go at different times. I know these boards can become addicting! But it's so much fun!

Hi gang!

Being fiscally responsible (!), I've postposed our May 20 cruise to Sept. 2. Even now I'm not sure if we'll go because I'm now really focused on paying off my credit card and should be able to do it this summer! Yeah! The other thing I have to keep in mind is I've had a 7 night for Jan. 2008 booked for over a year, so that cruise takes presidence. (I can't believe I have 2 cruises booked!) :scared1:

The Sept. cruise would be with my mom who has never cruised, but loves Disney. I've been to WDW 17 times, but DCL only once. That cruise was Jan. 2006 Land/Sea. (Happy to answer any questions!)

A huge concern is cruising in Sept = Hurricane Season. How soon do I need to purchase the trip insurance. What if I cancel the cruise? I understand the captains are good about steering around bad weather, would be sad to miss CC, but am perfectly happy staying on the ship the entire time. Also worried about the stateroom. Last cruise we got upgraded for free to Cat 6, but will be we're stuck in Cat 9 this time. Will I feel like a trapped sardine? Before Disney my only cruise was on Carnival in 1995. THE WORST trip of my life! I ended up in the medical center getting 2 double-shots!

So far my mom doesn't know about this cruise and would love to make it a near-last-minute trip. I once took her on a suprise WDW trip and was able to keep it a secret until we were at baggage claim at MCO!

I guess that's enough for now. Look forward to hearing from everyone!:rolleyes1

We are on the 9/2 cruise. We booked while on a cruise last May. I am planning our land stay for prior to the cruise. I am really hoping for a discount on the hotel or for free dining. I haven't booked anything yet - We would like the Poly or GF.
:cool2: Our 9 year old DS already has all of his activities planned out. We can't wait!

Just wanted to "jump onboard" so to speak. ;) We just decided to do the 4 night Sept 2 Wonder cruise and then 4 nights at Wilderness Lodge. It will be me, DH, and DD 3 (her first cruise).

Angipoo, we just moved from Mandeville, LA to Hattiesburg. What part of LA are you in?

Looking forward to talking w/ everyone over the next 5 months until we cruise! :boat:

We've booked for the Sept 2nd cruise. Never cruised before!!
Also spending a few days in WDW before the 2nd. :thumbsup2

I thought this thread got started awhile ago, but glad to see someone has initiated it again.

This will be my 2nd cruise. First one was land/sea (Jan. 2006) to celebrate mine & best friend's doctorate degrees. We were upgraded from Cat 9/Deck 2 to Cat 6/Deck 6. (This is where I say we've been snookered by Disney AGAIN - introducing us to a more fab experience, so we'll want to spend the money on it next time!) Alas, I've booked the Cat 9.

This cruise is to make up for a HORRIBLE trip :scared1: to Hawaii in Jan. 2007.(Ask if you want details.) I'm planning to take my mom, as so far she doesn't know about it. I think our deposit is due June 10? Her birthday is June 16, so I thought this would be a good gift. I have concerns though....

She can't swim & has only been a pool once - Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club a couple of years ago. She's never cruised in her life, which is enough of a worry, but we're going smack in the middle of hurricane season. Thoughts?

Hope to hear more from everyone over the next couple of months.
Gayle

P.S. I've also got a 7 night Western (Cat 6) booked with Best Friend for Jan. 2008. (Can you tell I was immediately hooked?!)

Yes we are doing the land and sea 3 days at the gf and w in cat 3 . We have 3 kids 15,13,10 and u?

We booked back in October 2006 but just invited MIL to join us so she just booked this week. MIL's first cruise...our 2nd. Our friends were going with us but she got a new job and had to bump her cruise up to June. She's taking her Mom which gave us the idea to take MIL. :dance3:

Glad to see you are friendly with you mil .personally if we took mine on the cruise i might be tempted to push her overboard.lol.not kidding either:rotfl:

It's getting closer! We can't be the only ones on this cruise - where is everyone?
I booked our timeshare and our WDW property stay, three nights at the Poly and a week at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club. We missed out on free dining by a few days - bummer.
We got our travel kit from our TA today so now I know it's not too far off.:goodvibes
