September 2 2007 Wonder Early Check In

My travel agent said our pre-cruise info should be arriving shortly as well! I work at a university & spring semester just doesn't seem to want to ever end!!!

This will be our 2nd cruise. We're taking MIL too. She's crazy about Disney so it should be fun!! We went last year at the same time and didn't have any trouble with the weather. It was a little overcast and rainy looking but the captain steered us around the bad weather. See ya soon on the Wonder!!!

if we were taking my mil i would be tempted to push her overboard.lol glad to see others have nice inlaws. I am personally am cursed with the wicked witch.:headache:

we went with friends last year and they were supposed to go with us again this year but had to change their date. They are going in end of May. Has anyone thought about the new 5 day they will have in Sep 2008?

Nikky, I have one of those MIL also - I don't think I would spend my vacation with her even if she paid for a Disney Cruise! It's a vacation to be across the country from her.

Lol..To be honest damiel i don't think i would be the onnly one tempted to push her overboard anyone who meets her within ten minuted usually dislikes her. She is either super sweet ,phony and very condisending or she would be her true self which is an obnoxious snob which is funny considerimg she was raised poor and isn't exactly reolling in it now. But she likes to give the impression she has money. Sorry for the long description but i just got off the phone with her before i read your post and she p.m.off moaning about my husband should visit her blah blah blah and it's all my fault.;) well anyway happy cruising are you sailing sept.2nd?

We bought new luggage and new Disney watches in anticipation. I have to get MIL's watchband replaced as it not large enough. but I thought it would be a nice mother's day gift. My son graduates from Army Basic Training in June so I will be able to give it to her then. We are extremely proud of him!!!
MIL is so excited about going that she calls just about every other day with all kinds of questions. I would refer her to these boards but she's not too comfortable with the internet. Well, must get back to work!!! (someone has to pay for the fun stuff):cool1:

Sorry to hear about your friends, I'm sure they are really sorry. Maybe they can join you on the double dip next year.

AJ -
HMMM that sounds familar. When you have a chance look at the new picutures on the link below. Of course some are of Hallie.

Hey Mal - those are great pics of Hallie in the Bluebonnets. I saved a couple of the pics to my puter. I went shopping today and bought all kinds of fun stuff to put on our doors for the cruise.

I know it's an unusual question....
Anyone staying at WDW before the cruise & would like to split a town car or limo to port?
We are 2 adults.
You can PM me.:)

Sorry. We're only flying in the day prior and staying near the airport. We used to towncar to WDW. Since it's just the two of us (Mom), we're taking the Disney transfer bus. Mom loves the "Disney feel", so I think she'll be fine with it and watching the movie.

I spent most of high school & college traveling with the marching band on charter busses & they do one thing to me: put me right to sleep. Since I doubt I'll sleep much the night before from excitement, I can catch a nap on the way to the port! :)

*Still planning to surprise Mom with this on her b-day June 16. I'm wrapping the travel kit we already received. I'll let you all know how it goes!

we fly in the day before and going to WDW after the cruise.

We just booked our flight yesterday and starting to get excited about vacation even though it's 3 months away yet.

We paid our balance today! Let's go!

I'm planning to wrap the "travel kit" from Disney to finally tell Mom about the cruise on her b-day (June 16). Any other ideas for announcing the surprise trip?

How about a tote bag filled with suntan lotion and inexpensive items she might need for the cruise and/or a make an "all aboard" ticket for the cruise?

Hey gang! I just about had a heart attack.

I paid the balance on Friday since our Castaway Club reservation window opening this morning.

I cmoe to work. Work. Get to lunch. Decide like usual to browse the boards. There's a post "Is Palo still $10?" I think of course it is.... my mind does one of those "life flashed before you" and I realize I completely forgot to login this morning and make the reservation!!!!

FAST Where's my reservation #? Get me logged into DCL!!! CLICK CLICK FASTER FASTER!!!!!

Huh. That's odd. Either our ship isn't very full (which I hoped by time of year and that SCAREY weather season) or there aren't many suite/Castaway Club people on it.

I pulled up the Palo listing. There were MANY dinner times available on EVERY DAY!

Crisis averted.
Gayle

I spent too much $ at my son's basic training graduation this past weekend so I will not be able to pay the balance until Friday. I hope there will still be spots available at Palo's then. :scared:
