September 19, 2015 Fantasy

Some of us would be in for a Mixology class. It's something we wanted to do anyway.:goodvibes PrincessB's mom...what part of Louisiana are you from? We are 10 miles from the state line between Mississippi and Louisiana.:)

We just got back from a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy which was also a Halloween on the High Seas cruise. We had a fabulous time but felt the Halloween aspect was downplayed tremendously from how it was advertised. Yes, the ship was decorated fabulously and the pumpkin tree was amazing but we had only 1 story telling night (about 15 min total) then they lit the tree. They did a halloween dress up night on day 3 of the cruise and you would think they would do storytelling, candy lines, etc. all in the same day but that didn't happen. They pumpkin tree was finally lit on the 6th day of the cruise and there were no trick or treat stations anywhere during the cruise. The night of dress up we got a small bag of candy left in our stateroom with maybe 6 pieces of candy in it so it was really a huge disappointment to our family. After watching the commercials for it we thought it would be a really big deal but sadly it was not.

We booked this sailing while onboard last week. It will be me, DH, DS15 and DS9. We are also from the Atlanta area in Acworth.

Hello! We just booked this cruise while onboard the Eastern 9/20/14...I will be sailing with DH, DD14, &DD14! Can't wait! I think my husband would be interested in the beer exchange (he's done one on a past cruise and enjoyed it).
Is there a FE group set up already?

No FE yet. I'm considering doing the list as I've done several before. I was waiting to get a bit closer.

I have to agree. We were on the same sailing and was so hoping for more trick or treating of Halloween themed things to do. I felt like the build up to everything was so great and then just felt disappointed with the actual events. We loved the decorations and the tree, etc. as well but just wished for more stuff to do and trick or treat stations and maybe more of the characters in Halloween outfits than just a couple of hours.

We are all very excited to be going back on the Fantasy in September 2015. It will be my 10th cruise and my family's 9th. We have a group of friends that we cruise with that we have now done several cruises together. We have all of our cabins in a row on Deck 7 - love the "extended" verandah we all share. LOL!

Sailing with me is DH, DS (15 at cruise time) & DD (12 at cruise time).

Hello everyone we will be joining you on this cruise booked last week while onboard the Magic on a southern cruise out of San Juan. This will be the 12th DCL cruise for DW and myself we also booked for 2 grandchildren but not sure if they will be able to go yet. I will look for the FB page and if I have a problem will let you know. We might be interested in FE but I will consult DW before I commit to anything (I know better)

Anybody interested in a beer exchange? Interested participants would get together at some point during the cruise and sample local beers we bring with us? My wife was recently reading about a group that did that

We are booked on this our FIRST cruise! Traveling with DH, DD 12, & DD 9

My husband would LOVE to do this beer exchange. We are interested in a wine tasting and maybe a few others

Welcome! How was the southern? I've always thought it'd be to many stops to enjoy it all. I feared being rushed.

the southern was great the high point was a helicopter ride from Antigua over the volcano on Monserratt any cruise is as busy as you make it but we didn't book too many excursions and enjoyed every day at our own pace.

We are officially booked for the cruise...it will be our 4th Disney cruise...we are excited! Will be me, DH, DS12, DD10...would be interested in the beer class, and I might be interested in the wine mixology...
Also, we are new to FE and would like some guidance on how this goes...interested but do not want to get over my head where I no longer enjoy the vacation part :)

hehehe...need to update my signature!

It's similar to a gift exchange. You sign up (send me a PM, there's a previous post for what to send for info), then when it gets closer I plan on around the two month mark I will email the list to everyone so you know who to make gifts for. I also include a map of the ship to make it easier for everyone to locate the rooms so that you don't spend a lot of time searching for rooms. Normally people pick a time that's convenient for them on the cruise to go to each room on your list (and you can choose to either be in a small or large group) and deliver your gift to each FE hanging on the fish/seahorse hooks.
