Got my network back up and running. YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!

How could you all ALMOST let this date pass by?????

TODAY IS ONE YEAR UNTIL WE CRUISE.....and no one mentioned it, but me? I am officially the biggest Disney Cruise dork here!! ;) I was at work all day wondering if there would be lots of chatter on the board..... :rotfl2:

Nope - you are not the only Disney Cruise Dork here. DD Heather and I have been talking about it all day today. I am still unpacking from the August Repo and I figure why bother unpacking :confused3 - I only have another 364 days to have it all packed up again.

Have we come up with a name yet? Instead of Ocean's 11 how about Disney's 11? I know - I know corny! Just trying to get the creative juices flowing. Well - better go tuck Heather into bed. Good night for now.

If the Folks taking the Magic back to Florida can call themselves the Ship of Fools, why can't we christen ourselves?

My two nominations:

DISer's 11

or

DIS Heaven's 11

I still like DISer's 11 the best :flower:

open to others though

It is still 9/17 here in Hawaii, one year till cruise :Pinkbounc !

Did you read the post about this year's 9/17 eastern being rerouted? I am curious to read about what their weather is like and how rough the seas are for them. I've never cruised during Hurricane season before.

Good Morning everyone - packing and getting ready for a two week trip to Hawaii. My suitcases have been in the house since May and can't seem to keep them unpacked for now.

Celeste - hope you aren't working too hard or such long hours

Marathon sounds great - I just wish I could walk normally - much less run or trot :rotfl2: Could I sit in my motorized chair and hand out water and carry more in the basket??

I knew it but did not mention it...

I thought today was the 1 year mark, as we leave on a Sunday the 17th, 2006, either way we are one day closer. Silly me a day late but I have a deposit down so I can’t be a dollar short.

Kay the scooter would work great for a water delivery system.

Jammed with SCUBA classes this weekend. Today we have two pool sessions, burr.

It is a toasty 34 outside and the full moon is really bright. Very KEWL!!!

Heidi, don’t worry about the season, if there is a big blow we are in a for an adventure. Now that is KEWL. Actually DCL will do everything possible to ensure a great cruise for us. Of that we can be assured.

GOOD MORNING
Just checking in to see what's been going on here.
Mini-Marathon sounds great. Yeah, I could run that. Yeah, that's the ticket! :smooth:
Seriously, I would be interrested if it wasn't done all at once. Like 2 miles here, 3 miles there, ect. As long as it doesn't involve running the stairs. Did that last cruise and I paid for it. Getting too old for that ....stuff.
Everyone have a great day.

Hey did I mention we found the Geo Cache on CC whilst on the member cruise? That was fun.

One year yesterday, but 52 weeks an counting today. :)
Sure hope there's something left at the 11 month mark.

....
We noticed the moon last night. Was very big for a while. Real nice Harvest Moon.
60 here this morning. Will be sunny and 80 before the day is done.

We did the Eastern several years back in the fall and we had a storm more or less follow us up from St. Marteen to the Bahamas. When we got to Key West the following Sunday, we saw the Magic there. They diverted to avoid the storm and made their first ever stop in Key West.

Squalls out on the gulf stream,
Big storm's comin' soon.
I passed out in my hammock
And God I slept 'til way past noon.
Stood up and tried to focus.
I hoped I wouldn't have to look far.
I sure could use a bloody mary.
So I stumbled over to Louie's Backyard.

Welcome to all our new friends. I propose a Disneyland meet for the holidays for all of the West Coast folks. Maybe the weekend of Candlelight Processional?

Hi Leslie,

Has there been any more discussion on a meet :grouphug: over the Holidays? DD and I are in Nothern CA but we would love to come down for a meet. :cheer2: Any excuse to do Disneyland during the Holidays. ::MinnieMo : :MickeyMo Have always wanted to do it but never have.

(By the way - I am still getting caught up since being gone for the Aug. Repo - I was sorry :guilty: to hear about Sophie. :grouphug: I know what that is like. I lost my 21 year old kitty and then we lost our PUG. :pug: It was the only dog my daughter had known and to this day when she is really tired she cries because she misses her. Our animals are memebers of our family. Congrats though on the puppy. :dog: They are a lot of work. I had not had a puppy in many many years and I got one for my daughter last year. I had forgotten all the pleasures of puppy hood. :paw: Although we made it through the puppy trauma with no digging she has now decided to chew on the corners of the couch cushions. IN FRONT OF US!!! Do you think she wants more attention? :smooth: )

Very cool Scott....I think geo caching is an interesting concept. You should put one on the ship and then challenge someone to find it- esp. since the ship is moving.....try locking your coordinates on that. :rotfl2:

OK, these might be some really "dumb" questions but I have only been on the Wonder once and that was 7 cruises ago. (The Wonder was my first DCL cruise) I have not kept up with the drydock changes with the Wonder, so these are my questions:
Is there Cove Cafe or Common Grounds? Which is followed up by the question ESPN Club or The Stack? Which leads to the last question, Diversions or the place that Diversions replaced (just can't seem to remember the name...been two weeks since repo cruise and my alcohol level has dropped two much-can't think straight)

Does anyone else but me feel like a trader by sailing the Wonder instead of the Magic? I won't know any of the crew on the Wonder!

There is a Cove Cafe on the Wonder, Lynn's favorite spot to run up our bill.

On your other questions, I will defer to others.

No traitor here DCL is DCL. Hey the ships horns are the same.

Diversions is Diversion. I don't recall what the Stack is called on the Wonder, but it is like the Stack. You can see each of these places if you go to DCL's website and do a virtual tour. We've never been on the Wonder and thought we would miss the Magic next year (not to mention wait two years to see the dry dock changes), soooooooo we booked the Magic cruise just prior to this 11 day!! :cheer2: We'll get off the ship on Saturday and still be able to attend pre-cruise parties, etc. Are we crazy?

Tracy

As far as a West Coast meet, we always take our oldest daughter to Disneyland for her birthday. Well, at least we have for the last few years. That's what she wants so who are we to not satisfy her need!

So we will be at Disneyland from January 4th through the 9th. It is still Holiday season there. At least it has the last few years.

So Tracy - Are you up for orchestrating another wine tasting? You did such an awsome job and it was fun tasting wines from all over the country/world. :drinking1

I was hoping for a Disneyland Candlelight Processional Meet. I am not sure the exact date - either the first or second weekend of December. Anyone interested or available at that time?

Count us in. DD Heather (8) and I will do everything in our power to make it.
