Thanks to all for the good wishes on the MRI. Had it done yesterday, and Scott - I have to agree. The contrast definately ranks a -10. Ugh! Informed consent paperwork said 2% of people have a nausea reaction to the contrast. After I got done having my reaction, I asked the tech just how accurate that was. She said it was closer to 50%. So much for truth in advertising! Now, I just have to wait for three weeks for the results.

PIT - so sorry to hear about the truck. When their truck breaks down like this, they should still be paying you, though!

No upgrade for us. Some people have all the luck.

Stateroom gifts finally arrived, though no sign of my formal night stuff. Hope that gets here in time.

Still here at the shop waiting for a fix. Our sweet mechanic, Dale, is keeping us posted every step of the way. He now says that he has to go into the transmission because the problem is still not fixed . We are looking at having to get a hotel room tonight. They will most likely have the truck overnight tonight. We will probley have to get a room (which our company reimburses) and a rental car (which they don't reimburse but is tax deductible) and they pay us "retention pay" at $100/day per person. Which is nice but doesn't hold a candle to what we are losing by sitting here.
But atleast they are keeping us up to speed. i just wish we were stuck in chicago so we could go walk around downtown.

Take the car and go down to the lakefront! Or if you like zoos, the Milwaukee Zoo is very close to where you are and it's really a nice one. Go shopping! Grand Avenue Mall downtown is fabulous!! There's also an outlet mall about 30 minutes west on I94 at Johnson Creek. Lots to do!! Look at this as an opportunity!

That would work if it were ours! But thank GOD it's our company's. If it were our truck we would be crying because we would have to make a payment on a broken down truck. It is warranty work and because of that Eaton-Fuller (who makes the transmission) has to check out EVERY LITTLE THING before they just go and replace a transmission. They have a 72 hr rule (our company) after 72 hrs they rent us a car to drive to our terminal to get a new truck. This guy is saying he will get it fixed sooner that that so hopefully we will get out of here soon. I stay optimistic! I think we are going to find a theater tonight if we are stuck and catch a movie. I still want to see Monster House. Or I would go see POC2 again to get me in the mood to cruise!
