When we were doing new construction of spurs, the engineers would put out stakes for us to use the tamper to align, and cross level the track.

DPD, don't feel bad. I'm on a cable line and I keep getting it too. I have been all day! Yikes! I really think it is just this site. I haven't had trouble elsewhere.

Anyway, painter eh? and a mural at that! I have been trying to find someone to paint a Dinosaur mural in my son's room. Mostly the price is outlandish. I keep thinking of going for it, but if I do...well, let's just say it will be a cartoon type of Dinosaurs with a lot of Van Gogh style to it!

Good luck on finishing yours. What are you painting in the mural?

Good night Lamar.... Joe is already in bed but reading... at least he was... I don't hear th machine yet....
Linda I am no artist by any long stretch!! Joe has this projection machine thing he uses at the college... I pick out a page from the WDW coloring book and he projects it onto the wall, sizes it the way I want it and traces it out for me in pencil. Then I just "color" it with acrylic craft paint.... Like paint by numbers without the numbers! I am painting Mickey and Pluto in the dogs room.

I painted a fish border in my son's bathroom freestyle by eyeballing the design on the shower curtain. It is still a work in progress because now he wants the bottom of the walls to have the Nemo fish and the seaweed,etc on the bottom. I love those Acrylic paint pens - so easy to use! You gave me an idea for my Dinosaurs though. Now, I just have to see if I can "borrow" a projector from someone... I have tons of coloring books with Dinosaur pictures.
