Tracy, it seems like I remember reading somewhere on the boards that if you ship stuff to the ship it should be in your stateroom waiting for you as long as it has all the correct information like your stateroom number.

So if I get an upgrade at the port, someone else will get my Rosa Regale and sunscreen :confused3 :lmao: :rotfl2:

can you do that if you are NOT a DVC memeber?

Of course you can ! :thumbsup2

but I was wrong on the cost :guilty:
it is a weekend night, it will require more points than a weeknight .. Sorry !! :)

But still way less money, than if you paid the 300 plus dollars to book the room thru Disney !

Is anyone taking their grass skirt in their carryon day bag? I don't know for sure if our suitcases will be in our rooms in time for the sailaway party.
I plan on having mine in my rolling suiter bag that I use as carry-on ... you know ... .just in case. :rotfl:

This reminded me. For those who are planning to send your wine to the ship ahead of time, it is probably better to use UPS. The post office will not ship wine or liquids (if you tell them that's what it is). Anyone have any experience shipping stuff to the ship? Does it arrive in your cabin before sailaway?

We shipped 7 boxes for the May 2005 repo. All 7 were in the room before any of our luggage arrived.

HELP! I have tired the search function on our thread and it isn't working. Recently someone posted a link to a site for pirate costumes, I looked but didn't put it in my favorites and now I can't find it. Could be finding a needle in a haystack could be easier. I really thought it was last week but I just quickly went through all those pages (and yes, my eyes are not crossed) and I don't see any link (except for pirate pistols). To whoever posted that last week - please post it again, I promise to add it to my favorites.

Thanks!

that sounds cool, guess I'll have to look into the details on that, I would have thought you needed to be a member with access to the reservation number, etc. Might be a good way to try a few of them out.

Bubba Mug Club Question!!

OK, here's the deal, Kitster and I are leaving (from the left coast) on 9/9 for our 3-week-plus Honeymoon. :woohoo: Needless to say, we're already packing a lot of stuff. :sad2: I am already planning on taking my Coronado Springs Mega-mug. :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

Does the 'Bubba Mug' Club have to have an official Bubba Mug, or would the CSR mega-mug suffice to allow this newlywed to join? :rotfl2:

They'll think they got some sort of special gift. :lmao: Must be one of those new CC gifts.

I don;t believe anyone will be turned away from the beverage bar regardless of mug or drinking aparatus, ie. caps with feeder lines from twin reservoirs, etc. but to be in the Bubba of the Month picture, I would assume they would frown on non-Bubba Kegs. So if you want to be included in the picture you must have a Bubba Keg.

Couldn't you bring both? Then you'd have enough drink for two days probably. :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :lmao:

Good thought about grass skirt in the carry on....

We have yet to start packing for the cruise due to the house being on the market, normally we would have a bed covered with suitcases and stuff pilled all over the room.

So no liquid in carry on is this a TSA thing???? for flights as well as DCL??

We're packing for a 3 week vacation as it is, so no extra room for 2 huge mugs, especially since a lot of the items we usually pack in the carry-ons will now have to be checked. :( Besides, I've been able to find exactly 1 20oz Bubba-Mug in our area.

This is from the American Airlines site...

Updated Baggage Policy Information

Information is current as of 9:00 a.m. (CST) August 10

Any travel policy information shown here applies for flights which have not been canceled. If your flight has been canceled, you may obtain a refund.

For assistance with changing your travel plans, contact our Reservations personnel at 1-800-433-7300 or AAdvantage Reservations at 1-800-882-8880 within the United States or Canada. If you are calling from outside the United States or Canada, please check our Worldwide Reservations Numbers page for Reservations contact information.

Travel Policy For US Carry-On Baggage
Effective immediately, all liquids are prohibited from being carried on flights within the United States. Please do not bring these items with you.

Travel Policy For UK Carry-On Bagggage
Effective immediately all cabin baggage must be processed as checked baggage and carried in the hold of all passenger aircraft departing from or connecting through airports in the United Kingdom (UK). This policy also applies to any aircraft departing the United States traveling to the UK.

The following measures apply to all passengers starting their journey at a UK airport and to those transferring between flights at a UK airport and from anywhere connecting in the US to the UK.

Nothing may be carried in passengers' pockets. Passengers may only take the following items through the airport security checkpoint, in a single (ideally transparent) plastic carrier bag:

pocket size wallets and pocket size purses plus contents (money, credit cards, identity cards, etc. but not handbags)
travel documents essential for the journey (passports and travel tickets)
prescription medicines and medical items sufficient and essential for the flight (a diabetic kit for example), except in liquid form unless verified as authentic.
spectacles and sunglasses, without cases
contact lens holders, without bottles of solution
for those travelling with an infant: baby food, milk (the contents of each bottle must be tasted by the accompanying passenger) and sanitary items sufficient and essential for the flight (wipes, creams, disposal bags)
female sanitary items sufficient and essential for the flight, if unboxed
tissues (unboxed) and/or handkerchiefs
keys (but no electrical key fobs)
There will be no liquids or gels allowed to/from the UK. Duty free from the UK will not be allowed, however, duty free onboard will continue.

All UK transiting passengers will be required to check any carry-ons they bring to the airport regardless of origination. For passengers who have already left the US and will be connecting in the UK, they will not be allowed to use the transit area in the UK airports and will be routed back to the ticket counters to check their carry-on luggage.

For the customers affected by this new policy, we will waive excess baggage fees for customers who arrive at the airport for connections in the UK or who are departing from the UK and must now check their carry-on baggage.

Additionally, we will offer the following options for customers with tickets issued no later than August 9, 2006 for travel to/from/through the UK - no fee will apply for all changes made before September 1, 2006:

If you choose not to travel, we will allow for a refund (in the form of a travel voucher for non-refundable tickets)
You may change your origination travel date to travel as late as September 1, 2006
You may change your destination OR cancel your reservation, however, fees will apply if your reservation has not been changed/your ticket has been reissued by September 1, 2006
If you are traveling on an AAdvantage award, we will refund the miles to the applicable account with no reinstatement fee, OR allow for a change of destination in correct redemption inventory
For complete details and assistance with changing your travel plans, contact our Reservations personnel at 1-800-433-7300 within the United States or Canada. If you are calling from outside the United States or Canada, please check our Worldwide Reservations Numbers page for Reservations contact information.

Policy For Travel To/From Beirut, Damascus Or Tel Aviv
American Airlines is allowing customers to change their travel plans if their itinerary includes flights on American Airlines connecting to or from Beirut, Lebanon (BEY), Damascus, Syria (DAM) or Tel Aviv, Israel (TLV). With this policy, you may change your travel date up to 14 days later than originally ticketed.

For complete details and assistance with changing your travel plans, contact Reservations at 1-800-433-7300. For Reservations contacts outside the United States, please see our Worldwide Reservations Phone Numbers page.

Current Travel Notices
The following locations may experience irregular operations due to circumstances described below. Please check www.aa.com/gates for updated information. Also, please check our Suggested Arrival Times page to allow enough time to arrive at the airport before your departure.

Boston, MA (BOS) - Please allow at least an additional 30 minutes travel time to the airport as the I-90 tunnel to Logan Airport is currently closed. Please visit www.masspike.com for updates and alternate routing.

Chicago Midway, IL (MDW) - Please allow extra travel time when departing from Chicago Midway Airport, as construction in the area near the airport may cause delays in reaching the airport.

Dayton, Ohio (DAY) - Please allow extra travel time when departing from Dayton International Airport, as construction on highways leading to the airport may cause delays in reaching the airport.

Delhi, India (DEL) - Checkin time must be 3.5 hours in advance of departure time due to airport congestion and security checks.

New York Kennedy, NY (JFK) - Please allow extra travel time when departing from JFK, as parking in front of terminals 8 and 9 is closed, and terminal construction at the airport may cause road delays.

Tegucigalpa, Honduras (TGU) - Due to construction in the parking area for Toncontin International Airport, please allow additional time when departing from this location.

Maybe you could find one closer to the cruise that way you don't have to carry it the whole time.

Liquids are, I imagine, still allowed in DCL carry on's just not in airline carry on's. So you could pick up alcohol etc. once you arrive in Fla. I'm sure if DCL has any new rules they've been posted on their website.

i checked there too, nothing as of yet. they may still be figuring out if they need to tighten any of their rules due to this latest incident

Interesting, should have put this together with info from work, we have a couple of European flight planned for 2007, glad they are waving the excess baggage fees.
