You know that is not exactly uh.. great reading material when we are going on an 11 night cruise... in the peak of "H" season!!! :scared1:

Well...

From what I've seen the forecasts for the 2006 season are drifting in line as near normal for an "H" season. Earlier in the year they thought it would be more active - but as of August 8th it was trending down. Here's a summary page from the NOAA National Hurricane Center...

Just to add on to this thread.

My DH, Rick and I (Heather) will be joining you all for the 11 night cruise, all the way from the UK.

We look forward to meeting some of you, at one or two of the events.

We can't wait. Less than a month to go...hooray.

Heather

Welcome!

k' i'm back.... no it's not hazing. this year the coach decided to do two weeks of hell week to weed out many of those trying out. there were just too many kids last year.

he has them going from 7-10am dryland conditioning (running) and weights, etc, 12-3 pool conditioning I think they do something like 3000 yds and other things, not sure really, then 5-7 waterpolo skills

this is what he has at the bottom of the Hell Week schedule...

You will be tired, your muscles will ache, you will wonder why you are doing this, but remember while most are dreaming of success, winners wake up and work hard to achieve and earn their success.
What is a mother to do....sigh!(couldn't find a smilie) I know as a Dad you probably do the "Go get 'em son!"
Good luck to your son! :thumbsup2 It is good to strieve for success as long as that coach doesn't blast them if they don't win every game. :sad2: Of course, what am I talking about - of course they do...they always have....

I am sure he enjoys the sport, the feeling of accomplishment and being a member of the team. Mine is just starting into all of the sports, T-ball last Spring, Soccer this fall/winter....oy!

My son is getting cartoon time right now, so I have been able to jump on for a few minutes. His passport came today. Mine...will be here soon! :rolleyes1

I was thrown off the boards last night at about 11pm MDT, I was still about 10 pages behind, which I had to catch up on this morning.

Celeste, good work on the training!

Passports are much easier to travel with than birth certificates, and soon will be necessary.

Nice day here in Jackson, time to walk dogs then go to work.

Lynn
:eeyore:

Wow -

- seeing YOU behind only 10 pages makes me pause to consider my situation being behind 1000s of posts in the past week or so!

Okay, so this isn't nearly as good as Tracy's backyard pictures.

But for those that know me, I have long hair. Have actually been growing it longer for over a year and a half to donate to Locks of Love.

Here is me yesterday:

Then, after my haircut with DH Robert (Mr. Seaulater)

Bluewaves, glad to hear one passport made it back, hopefully the other one will be right behind it.

Sports are fun, but I think some of today's coaches are way too hard on kids. They treat them like their professionals or something, when really they're just out there to have fun.

My hair is a little short than I like it, but I figure, what the heck, it will grow and I can be inconvenienced since some child without hair can have some of mine.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE!!!! :bday:

Morning everyone!!!!

Well since Capt. was MIA last night, I only had to catch up on 3 pages of posts this morning. :lmao: Was able to scan through it pretty quickly.

Woke up this morning thinking it was later in the week and it's only Tuesday. Come on Friday!!!! Oh well, at least we're one day closer.

Later guys!!!!

Now...

... I don't seriously think the crowd needs little ol' ME 'round to get things cooking.... as te activity of the past week can prove! Shoot... I can agree though that 3 pages DOES seem a little light overnight. If I were up then it should have been at least 5 pages of activity.... if not 7!?!

That's great Linda... a wonderful cause!! Boy your hair sure grows fast!!! It was about the same length of the "after" picture on the Repo cruise right?? Mine would take about 6 years or more to grow that long...:rotfl: If ever... I think I have "short hair" genes!

Shoot ... been sort of reading off and on this morning and I've managed to cover 20 pages (813).... and it's still just bringing me up to 5:19AM yesterday! My time on the computer is 11:46AM - so this represents about 30 hours and 27 minutes of activity! Wooooooooow! That's amazing!
