Tons of packing still to do. Mike

Good Morning..glad your food is better!

Ok everyone, have a great afternoon. I am off to the gym and more errand running.

Dan..yeah for you..I know you are happy to be officially on vacation!!! :thumbsup2

Hi Everyone

For those still reading the thread, I just wanted to let you know that the name badges and lanyards will be available at Scotts party on Saturday as long as my flight is on time. We expect to be there at about 6:00pm or so.

The badges and lanyards will be available in the cruise terminal before boarding. I'm sure we will be there early - we are after all riding down to the port with Linda (seaulater) and she is know for her early arrivals. Look for anyone wearing a name badge with our "official" logo and they can probably tell you were I'm located in the terminal.

The badges and lanyards will also be available at the 3:00pm Dismeet.

If we can't connect at any of these events, call my room and we can get the badges to you (6580).

Don't forget - if your not on the cruise list, I haven't made a badge for you.

Ken

Our two boxes we shipped to OKW arrived there today, KEWL. Bummer our boxes are on vacation and we are still here. LOL

Way to go Ken!!!!! :thumbsup2

Morning everyone!!!

Raining here right now, wishing it was :sunny: instead. Of course being on vacation would help too, but I still have another day to go.

Mike, sorry to hear about your foot. I can't even imagine how much that had to have hurt. I can't take pain and I would have been crying like a baby.

PIT, you know they're just doing it to torture you. You're company probably called them and told them you're going on vacation in a couple of days and told them to stall you guys. :lmao: Don't you love bosses?

Funny how our pet friends know when they are going to the kennel. I try to pack the bags discreetly, never works. Once I start packing up, Big doesn't leave my heels and Furby hides. :rotfl2:

My sisters dog is completly mad. If you get the cases out of the attick (or from anywhere - and by cases this means the little pull alongs for the plane as well) she sulks and glares at you! I have never known a dog to refuse food but you offer her a treat when she thinks that you are going away she wont even sniff it. She sulks from the day you start packing to about a week after you come back. She's fine in the kennels but as soon as she sees you she turns back in to miss sulky pants and turns her nose up at everything. My two dogs were never like that!

I know, they were just torturing us. We are out of there now, headed to Zephyr Hills to pick up a load of water. Once we get there we are 503 miles from Anniston, AL where we can dump the load off and go HOME! I hope they can load us as soon as we get there! Then we can be home atleast by in the morning, maybe earlier. It's raining cats and dogs here in southern FL right now! I hope it stops soon! I'm talkin' MONSOON rains right now, and everyone on I95Nis driving about 30mph :rolleyes1 Hurry up people, you live in FL and never have seen rain before????

Hey, just think you're only a few hours from vacation. :cheer2:

I think most people have forgotten what rain looks like. :lmao:

I'm hangin' in there! Paranoia kicks in when we get so close to home. I always get scared we are going to get stuck somewhere. I just like our load to the house to go smoothly, ESPECIALLY when a cruise is involved. I can taste the creme brulee now........Lunch for us is gonna be a heart attack in a sack today for the sake of time saving. I must say I walked on the wild side and had a Frisco Melt at Steak and Shake yesterday. Carbs. Yum. That burger is better than YOU KNOW WHAT ;) ;) Yummy!

When Kevin lived in Ft Lauderdale he compliained about car insurance prices here. Well no wonder, if half of the people on the road drive 30mph and the other half drive 80mph.   I always get excited when we go on vacation so we can get in front of the truckers and go slow :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: If they only knew........

Ken-you better get a wake up call at 4 a.m.

Scott-do we get drinks and danish delivered by DCL in the line (kinda like the sleepover on the ship?) :rotfl2:

I might bring a small knifty knitter and a ball of yarn or 2. I have to get crankin' on my Christmas list. I went to this great place in Nampa, Idaho the other day called Kings. They had ALOT of yarn for 1/2 off. Kev picked up the Knifty Knitter but bypassed the yarn :lmao: He's not much of a power shopper. I LOVE to knit. It's cheaper than therapy. :teeth: :teeth: I find it very relaxing. Have you ever used the knifty knitter looms? They are pretty neat and you can spin out a tube scarf in no time! Check them out on Provocraft.com. I now have all of them except for the tiny tube one (to make purse straps and such). I am also very fond of regular needle knitting. I have been debating on rather or not to bring my whole knitting bag or not. What type of needles do you use? I prefer bamboo, but I have to add to my collection a little at a time ($$$). I have even inspired my neighbor Chelsea(16) to learn. I can't crochet for the life of me though. My mom can, and says I should've learned crochet first. Everything I crochet ends up looking like a yarn tube :lmao: I'll stick to knitting.

My E-mail address for the phone list is actually Kevin's (my inbox stays flooded with crap and It's hard to decipher actual NEEDED e-mails  ): K_Back36703@yahoo.com

I too like wooden needles I have a pair that I paid $54 for that are rosewood :lovestruc They look & feel beautiful! I have some of the loom knitters- many circles, the small rectangle, and I think a large one for a shawl.

I think I am going to do some punch needle work on the cruise if I can get them to ship to me. (actually to my sister's house in FL) My other hobby on the cruise is going to have to be homework and reading. (and listening to a few hearts. ) I will also have my otoscope if anyone needs to me to take a peek in their kid's ears- while I can't give you meds, I can tell you if you need to head down the doctor.

I have to work tomorrow and I have class on Thursday- but I"m still not packed. :rolleyes1

Any suggestions on how I can convince my sister she NEEDS to be on the ship before 1pm? She just doesn't get this... :confused3 I need to tips...

I have sent out emails to everyone who has sent me a PM so far. I will check them again later today. I have a patient coming back from the OR that I have to recover.

PIT- your email address that you posted kicked the email back to me...any suggestions?

CC- you asked about meds- I'm on levaquin and clindamycin. (Big guns)

OMG! They aren't by any chance huskies are they? :rotfl2: I would swear you are talking about my 2 girls - they started sulking on Sunday when DH brought down the duffels (tried fooling them that way but it didn't work) and snuck our real suitcases into the bedroom. Right now - 1 is sitting underneath the murphy bed thumping her hind leg whenever I try to coax her out from underneath. The other one is curled up in a ball - with her but (t) facing me - and when I try and pet her - she gets up and moves to another spot in the house. I'd put them outside but then they throw themselves at the door!

As for the kennel - they love them - I tip them everytime which allows them special private play time but they don't seem to remember that when we pick them up! OOhh oooh - now 1 has moved from underneath the bed to the corner of the sofa and is shooting me dirty looks! Yup - she/they fit right into this  and distrubed family of mine! But you gotta love them - helpless creatures that they are! Guess the guilt trip is working! :teeth:

Anyway, just had to post as :furious: are flying around the house , new regulations on shampoos, conditioners, night creams, toothpaste and hairsprays just did me in! I now have to repack my 95% packed suitcase into a smaller one - I just returned from the P.O. where I had to emergency send my gifts to port - cost some $ so hope you all enjoy them ( my fault) underestimated space in my suitcases, DH hasn't started packing yet and my formal won't be done until 5 pm today. AND....I ran out suitcases - I'm trying to take one of DH's but its hard to pin him down as he's in the middle of remodeling my out-of-town In-law's rental, seeding our grass, putting in sprinklers and having to go to the office to tidy things up! I think I'm doubly   now - wish me luck and sanity until tomorrow - we're flying out of LAX at 10:40 which means after dropping DD off at school at 7:45 am - we head straight to the airport and hopefully run into no problems! Except for unforeseen circumstances - Gosh - I need help  Anyway, just letting off any steam - oh - and if the phone rings again - I'm stomping it to death!

Later all! :wave2:
