Just wanted to say good morning everyone, I feel so much better today- it must be the new antibiotic they put me on last night. Foot feels great.

I have sent the phone list to Scott and Tracy via regular email. If you would like a copy, please sene me your regular email and I will forward on a copy. You must be on the list to receive the list. (Scott, I can't edit the copy I sent you from work- so you're not on it yet.)

Happy to be walking pain free today... :cheer2:

I haven't traveled in awhile and I am not really up on all the latest devices...

Are there any issues with taking things such as laptops, portable dvd players, digital cameras (xD picture cards, lithium batteries, etc), camcorders Hi-8, and their corresponding media through the latest scanners etc if they are carried onto the plane? :confused3

thanks! :thumbsup2

Ivan,

You will need to take your laptop out of the case. The other stuff you mentioned will just go through the x-ray. Also FYI be prepared to take your shoes off and put them through the x-ray, so slip on kinds can be helpful. I know it has been said many times, no cream, paste, etc allowed. Glad I checked my computer bag and found some sun screen I did not know was in there.

Time to check your flights to see if there have been any changes, also the airline sites have good info on current TSA info.

I travel a great deal for work with a laptop and you will have to take it out of the case and pass it through in a bin by itself but no biggie (other than getting it out and putting it away while in line, putting your shoes back on etc. I don't think I am taking a laptop - will just use their machines and check emails. If I take my laptop I might have to connect to the office and work - EWWWW!

My camera has also gone through the machine without any problem - I don't even take it out of my purse.

Tony, Thank you for this response, I actually understood what you were saying and that makes me feel better about my new assignment. :thumbsup2 :teeth:

Always glad to be of assistance!

thanks for the feedback..I kinda knew about the taking out the laptop, shoes and such...I just didn;t know if within the last two years, the updated machinery interfered with any of the new digital memory or devices.

Do they still make you turn on the laptops? Also, what if you have external usb drives? Since I have seen mention of several horror stories of people losing their digital cards (ie data loss) and losing all their family vacation pics, I don;t want to take any chances so I plan on burning to cd's and such as well as backing up to another media..ie external drive.

btw, I don't mean losing the media cards due to the xray machines, just them crapping out in general which is why the desire to have redundant media

I did it on excel and it doesn't translate well to the PM format.

I didn't know you like to knit- I was actually looking at yarn today and trying to think what I might like to take on the cruise. I decided not knit this trip. I bought one exercise book to read and some magazine. I may do some hand quilting....or something else.
I might bring a small knifty knitter and a ball of yarn or 2. I have to get crankin' on my Christmas list. I went to this great place in Nampa, Idaho the other day called Kings. They had ALOT of yarn for 1/2 off. Kev picked up the Knifty Knitter but bypassed the yarn :lmao: He's not much of a power shopper. I LOVE to knit. It's cheaper than therapy. :teeth: :teeth: I find it very relaxing. Have you ever used the knifty knitter looms? They are pretty neat and you can spin out a tube scarf in no time! Check them out on Provocraft.com. I now have all of them except for the tiny tube one (to make purse straps and such). I am also very fond of regular needle knitting. I have been debating on rather or not to bring my whole knitting bag or not. What type of needles do you use? I prefer bamboo, but I have to add to my collection a little at a time ($$$). I have even inspired my neighbor Chelsea(16) to learn. I can't crochet for the life of me though. My mom can, and says I should've learned crochet first. Everything I crochet ends up looking like a yarn tube :lmao: I'll stick to knitting.

My E-mail address for the phone list is actually Kevin's (my inbox stays flooded with crap and It's hard to decipher actual NEEDED e-mails  ): K_Back36703@yahoo.com

Hi All:

I'm Kay's sister and I'm going on the 9/17 cruise with her; along with my 2 daughters and granddaughter. We are all sooooooo excited. I won't be any good at work this week just thinking about leaving on Friday. This is our first Disney cruise. It took Kay forever to talk me into going and I'm glad I finally made my mind up.

O yeah, by the way; this is my husband's birthday present; his birthday is Sunday, the day we board the ship. He's being a good sport about me going.

I'll be meeting some of you soon.

Welcome Aboard!

Leslie, Kev drove in this morning and let me sleep :goodvibes :goodvibes
But the stinkin' directions were slightly flawed and we ended up at the BEACH! Thank goodness it was early enough for the road (clearly marked no trucks) to be traffic free and Kevin could flip a U-turn (a move that at our company can get you FIRED, company protocol is to call the local officials and get escorted out, yeah-right!).
I SO want to go home! These people are STILL unloading this truck at a snails pace. Don't they know we have things to do??? A load to pick up? One that takes us home, and to my microbrews of America stash I so desperately need at home waiting for me in my fridge? Do they have no compassion for the tired, hungry, and overworked of america? How many 15 minute breaks do they really need anyway? Are they just going slow to tick us off? One has to wonder when there are 32 pallets that were put on 1 at a time and with today's forklifts really should just fly right off of here. I think it's a conspiracy. Or maybe I'm just bored and antsy........... pirate: pirate:

The Malamutes go to puppy camp tomorrow, Kennel owners are heading to Denver for a show, I will miss these guys, and they are giving me the Sad Malamute Look. We have kept the bags hidden from their view.

Funny how our pet friends know when they are going to the kennel. I try to pack the bags discreetly, never works. Once I start packing up, Big doesn't leave my heels and Furby hides. :rotfl2:

I finally finished the cell phone list and it is too big to PM to everyone. Any suggestions??? :confused3

We really had no set plans until the W&Cheese meet at around 4. We just like to walk around DTD and look in all the shops. We are staying at CBR. Just give us a call Saturday, we'd love to hook up with you guys. 334-327-9992 is my cell #. I'll talk to Kev about dinner. We had a res for Whispering cayon but were thinking about cancelling it and just winging it. :confused3

Check out Raglan Road for a great meal and drinks while you are in downtown disney.
