Here things were good. Up until 4 o'clock. Then they got great.
Found out our grandkids have a new half-sister.
Her name is Alexis and the kids are calling her Lexi already.
Was going to take the kids to Chuck E Cheese.

Quick trip to the hospital to see them. Got to hold the baby.

Wow.. the boards are quiet tonight.. where is everyone?? Packing?? I'm in panic mode at this point with nothing done. :scared1: I'm still having to wear the stuff I want to take!! :rolleyes2 High today was 97º!!!!!
On the other hand... MK was almost empty today ...walked on almost everything!! :woohoo: nice end to the Holiday weekend! It's back home tomorrow morning. :sad1:Then I have to get into serious packing mode!!

Well...

... at least I'll bet you at least have a valid PASSPORT or BC w/DL! I've been semi-packed since last weekend but only now discovered my doc issues! LOL! Tomorrow I hope to resolve this.

AND... it's nice to see you made it to MK. We're out here in far away Californina and we went no-where this weekend. No Disneyland, no powershopping even though I know of at least one cruising DIS family that drove past us to get at the local "Premium" outlet mall in Camarillo. We just stayed close to home and sort of vegged out! It's nice to do that every now and then, ya kno!

Well give me a hint and I'll give you some suggestions! I'm still TIRED!!! :rotfl2:

Bob we have a Bass Pro shop at the opry mills shopping mall about 3 miles from the house. Tons of stuff and a huge aquarium in the store where they give fishing lessons. Do all of my fishing at the seafood deli. Catch something every time. :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: Mike

Okay, I know this is a really stupid question and I should probably get an award for asking a really stupid question, but what's with the Bubba mugs? :confused3 Are we supposed to bring it? What is the meaning of them etc etc. :confused3

"And the award goes to Bev for asking a really stupid question".

Thanks,

Bev :sunny:

Bev that is a good question, I can't remember how the Bubba Mug thing got started, I think maybe Leslie had something to do with it, she found them at Walmart, 52 oz, keeps stuff cold, saves trip to get a fresh beverage. Then it just got going, their web site is www.bubbakeg.com , they have a photo section that Ivan found and if ya get one you can join in for teh photo that will be sent to the Bubba Mug people.

Any other thoughts folks, that is the best I can do.

Lynn is bugging me about taking a book to read, she hates when I ask, " are we there yet, how much farther....." any good reading suggestions. A book I would bring is some where in the garage...

Scott....not sure what type of reading material you like but Anderson Cooper's Dispatches From the Edge is really good. I couldn't put it down....he talks about Katrina and about events overseas...it's his memoirs and it is very moving...

....or you could re-read "A Path Between The Seas"...that should occupy you for a few hours!!!!!

What a JOY!

I love children... even when they need to change a nasty diaper that just leaked all over me... and even at 4AM while strolling the decks of the Magic wondering (in the classic words from that Madagascar King) ... "HOW LONG IS THIS GOING TO TAKE?!!!?" .... I still luv 'em all dearly!

It's so much FUN being a parent! And as a grand parent - we're not there yet - but I think that could only be BETTER!

Hi Bev,
Bubba Kegs are insulated mugs in multiple sizes. The most popular is the 50 oz that many people use a guage water intake for the day in my office.
The web site is below:
http://www.bubbakeg.com/

They are available at WalMart, Target and other retailers. You can find many on ebay, too.

Target had the 50 oz keg with Nascar drivers names and numbers for 3.74 tonight here in Birmingham.
Hope this helps!

Mom and I just finished watching Larry King Live with the last interview with Steve Irwin - it was sad to see him. Now on Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN they are talking about how the accident happened and just had a telephone conversation with Steve's manager who was there when the attack happened. It appears that it was a freak accident.

Thanks Elaine, McCullough has a book on Teddy Roosevelt, that could be good, will look for it at the airport. Thanks. There is also one about Lord Nelson and his time in the Caribbean.

Sad to hear about Steve Irwin, musta been a freak event.

Dang!

My spouse just spent $100 on D.com so could have saved FIFTEEN BUCKS. She's stomping around with a wry smile! I luv her when she gets worked up! She just poked me and declared "she's P'd off". She's mostly joking of course. Wish we saw thid sooner - but then again I think all the stuff she got was such a good deal already!

I luv this girl when she's huffin'... it's kind of charmin'

Good Morning!
I'm on my way home!!!!!!!!!!!
Our dispatcher just sent us a message (we are in Hotlanta) and told us to bobtail (which means driving with no trailer, just tractor) HOME!!! WooHOO! I get to pack and unload all of the stuff I don't need out of this truck! And I get to sleep in MY own bed tonight and wash my clothes in MY own washer and dryer instead of crappy truck stop ones! We have to leave out @ about 9pm tomorrow night, but I"M STILL EXCITED!

Here's another one for ya PIT! Cruise home happy and safe!

I wuz lookin' fer somethin' else when I came across this one....

I have a question that I am sure someone here can help me with. I know that I have seen laundry service prices somewhere, and have spent the last couple of hours searching for it, to no avail. :confused3 I do remember that the last time we cruised that I sent everything out to be pressed so that my clothes would not be wrinkled for the entire cruise. I seem to recall that it was half the cost of cleaning?? Does anyone know where I can find that list??
Thanks,
Vickie

We're not staying post cruise as we're returning to Orlando late in October for a land visit to WDW. However - pre-cruise we are about to make HOTWIRE reservations. They have a 3 star (Holiday Inn, Radisson or Double Tree) at MCO for only $45 + their booking fees less Upromise rebate of 2 or 3%. The 3.5 star (Hilton or Crown Plaza) is at WDW maingate at $61 + fees only representing an 18% discount. SO we'll probably do one or the other.

After this reservation... all the core travel considerations are set ... EXCEPT my birth certificate or passport - whill will be managed tomorrow morning at about 8:30-9:30 AM.

Cheers!

We got the Holiday Inn one before one of our cruises. It was not too bad.

Thanks for the encouragement....

... We've stayed at several airport properties and liked the (I think it was) the Marriott. It has an indoor/outdoor pool and is just cozy. I was bummed that Hotwire apparently did not have the 3.5 star properties being offerred at MCO. So... we'll probably book the 3 star Holiday Inn/Crown Plaza level real soon. $45 is a nice bargain... and we get in at something like 6AM and my rental car is not really ready until 9 or 10AM.... as I'm timing it to use for just a day... IE - get to the port within the hour grace period the next day.

--------

My spouse is making a rare appearance here ....

... she sez "hello". If ya wanna chat with her direct a comment and I'll see to it she gets it and I'll squeeze her for a reply of merit.

Evening everyone!!!!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I appreicate it. :thumbsup2

Bob and Lee, congrats on the newest addition to your family!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

We're getting closer to the cruise. I need to start thinking about packing and decorating my fish extender at some point. Maybe now that the house is done I might be able to get it done.

Night everyone!!!
