I know many of us are getting ready to leave for Disney soon and I just wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone for planning all the great events....I do want to send out a very heartfelt thank you to some special individuals (not that you all aren't special)

Peter & Jenn (Hygiene99) - Thank you so much for your absolutely fantastic, over the top, P1P5.. I can't believe how many great events we have planned and to have all the information available at our fingertips is incredible. Also thanks for arranging the group photos.

Tracy (winotracy) - Where do I begin...the Newsletter. I have just one word...Incredible. Thank you so much for all your hard work – I am going to print them all out and include them in my scrapbook.

Thanks also for the “Stateroom Location Map” – which hopefully the link will be up soon – then everyone can see where the Dis’ers are staying onboard.

I have a question that I am sure someone here can help me with. I know that I have seen laundry service prices somewhere, and have spent the last couple of hours searching for it, to no avail. I do remember that the last time we cruised that I sent everything out to be pressed so that my clothes would not be wrinkled for the entire cruise. I seem to recall that it was half the cost of cleaning?? Does anyone know where I can find that list??

Found out our grandkids have a new half-sister.
Her name is Alexis and the kids are calling her Lexi already.
Was going to take the kids to Chuck E Cheese.

Quick trip to the hospital to see them. Got to hold the baby.
Kinda neat holding something that small and young. 7 hours old.

Okay, I know this is a really stupid question and I should probably get an award for asking a really stupid question, but what's with the Bubba mugs? Are we supposed to bring it? What is the meaning of them etc etc.

Bob and I had found bubba mugs at walmart before the DCL panama crossing. We used them on the ship. They were great, the ice kept the drinks cool all day long, and they were large enough we didn't have to keep going back to the drink station to refill all the time.

Leslie brought them up on the boards one day, she had saw them at walmart. I let her know how great they worked and she went and got some, and them some more for people who couldn't find them in their own walmart, and so on and so on, now many people in our group will be using bubba mugs to keep their drink of choice cool on the ship.

Ivan, re: Space Bags, Yes you need to watch the weight of your bags, we use a packing system from Eagle Creek, your clothes are folded and wrapped in a nylon package. Clothes come out pretty good if folded correctly, keeps your stuff together.

Tracy, your book sounds interesting, I like to take books I can just leave. I’ll find something, maybe...

Reading material - I am not one to ask what I am going to take because I have ready everything (almost) I got to take! I am reading a book about Walt now but I am sure if I don't get through it before we leave, it will be done before we board as we have a 2 hour layover in Detroit and then the 2-1/2 hour plane ride down.

Whoa, you are excited!

After the cruise, Harry and I are staying at the Swan -- never stayed there before and really looking forward to it. We fly home on Monday Oct. 2.

Our friends Vanessa and Dick (Richie) are staying at Port Orleans, not sure if it is FQ or RS. They fly home on Sunday Oct. 1.

It's been a lot of years, but we loved the swan. GREAT location - good transportation options to the parks, which made it easy to come and go. The property is nice and staff was wonderful when we stayed.

I've been checking,,,

... the availability of cabin space for quads on our sailing and just recently it seems o have tughtened up. Previously they had cat 11-4 .... ans now they only have 9/6/4 available. I had been hoping for a chance to buy a change at the port so I want to see a few unsold cabins. Of course, who knows how they handle excessive space... as they obviously try to sail full all the time. I assume they must offer the final excess space to employees and TAs at a discount and retail a tiny fraction (if any) unsold in the final days.

Availability for doubles and triples still runs through every catagory from 12~4. So I would view our sailing as "light" with less than 2 weeks to embarkation!

By comparison the 10 nite sailing has quads in 12/11/10/6/4 and triples/doubles in catagories 12/11/10/9/6/5/4.

Curious, eh? OK... I'm off to get a BC from the county!

Just got an e-mail reminding me that "Talk Like a Pirate" Day is just around the corner. It was from Cafe Press. They had some cute ideas for t-shirts. One was Black Pearl Drinking Team and another was "Time Flies When You're Having Rum"

I have a copy of the "1000 places to see before you die" There are a few that are on our trip. Here is some information on a lunch buffet offered on St. Kitts and it is on the list:
We offer our famous West Indian buffet lunch from 12:30pm 2:00pm daily consisting of a variety of dishes including spicy curries, traditional fish dishes, fresh salads, herb scented rice, delicious vegetables, pasta dishes, home made chutneys and more plus coffee or tea and dessert . The cost is $30.00 US per person plus 19% gov't tax and service charge.

Afternoon tea is served from 4:00pm. The cost is $6.00 plus 19% gov't tax and service charge.

Reservations are required so please do give us a call if you would like for us to reserve a table for you.

I haven't decided if we are going or not- but it sure looks beautiful and it might be nice to try some local food.
