Too bad Disney is not having the unlimited internet on the 11 day cruise :badpc: :surfweb: Mike

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

The ship blocks SKYPE!! That's right, for crew and passengers you cannot go to Skype. Guess they don't want to lose the revenue from everyone calling home. :(

Okay Bob, I found this post very, very funny. It reminds me of all the people who tell me they are healthy and they are 30+ pounds over weight. I want to ask them- are you really healthy or have you just not been to the doctor? I guess it's my warped sense of humor or maybe it's the codeine. :rotfl2: (Unfortunately, it's the humor- the codeine isn't that strong. Elaine can buy this stuff over the counter)

Scott- I don't know what kind of spider it was, I was sleeping when it bite me, but it hurt enough that it woke me up. I haven't seen any spiders around our house, so I'm really confused. I had a bad cut on my ankle from shaving (remember the bloody footprints comments) and the spider < ? >bit around the bandaid- we had our windows open and I think it came in due to the blood on the bandage. So, now I'm writing papers for school and elevating and putting ice on my ankle and taking lots of BIG horse pills. The necrotic spot is a little bigger, but the redness is going down. I'm sure I'll still have some damage to show off on the cruise...

Maybe it was not a spider?

Maybe it wuz a .....
LP_bat.gif
or maybe a ....
vampire_transforms_bat_md_clr_anim.gif

I wonder what sort of animal or.... creature would
Gnaw at a bandaged wound? Repeatedly? I guess it could be
a spider - a BIG hungry one... but seriously, what could it have been?

This appears to actucally be a Reggaee Music CD!

PS... my dear spouse sez... Good Morning everyone!

I can't believe everyone is getting ready to cruise in just 7 days!!! I am so excited for all of you.

I wanted to volunteer myself as "Land Liason". If anyone has a need to reach family, friends or work while you are away, I am your gal. You can send me a pm/email/call with details. I will be happy to call, fax or message for you. I will be available throughout each day that you are cruising.

You can use my email through the DIS at tink33@wdwinfo.com or tbarri@cox.net

I will send a message to Celeste with my cell phone number.

Lesley....how very sweet of you.

cool.

Thanks, folks (you too Papa n' Sweetsue!)! So, I still wonder whether it's been 11 or 12 years. My spouse is not tellin' me. :confused3 OK... she just told me it's been 12 years but I still think it's only been 11. Go figure!

My spouse is declining to post her response as she looks over my shoulder and I post this...,

Happy Annivesary Tom and Alicia. Is this cruise an anniversary cruise (even thought it's with the kids)?

Sweet Sue

And... to this I say ... but of course it IS! The last 3 Disney sailings were anniversery sailings on labor day weekend (it would take advantage of the holiday weekend).... but since our daughter started school just before Labor day we did not want her to miss her first days of school. So we shifted the trip date.

For those of you that haven't seen it yet, the DCL special is on the travel channel tonight at 8pm Eastern.

Sweet Sue

Is anyone going to be staying at Wilderness Lodge on Friday night??

I'll be there Friday night only and then leaving for the Radisson on Saturday morning

Hi Kay - tried to book there but they were completely booked according to my TA so alas :sad2: we aren't - tough as I really like it there - reminds me of the Grand CA Hotel and I really do miss home when I'm away!

Someone asked me to check and yes they do have the pink stuff (sweet 'n low) and Equal and Splenda.

That would be me - a big THANK YOU from me - can't live without it! Have a smooth and safe :sail: Looking forward to reading your reports!

Anybody else do what I do in this scenario? I need to have my tux (and a few shirts, slacks, etc) cleaned. But rather than having them done here, and having to iron them again on the ship, I just send them to be cleaned the first day on board.

ETA: (oops!! Just saw webray's post with that exact recommendation!

We're doing this too. Easier than Ironing now ;)

wow - and I just booked it on Friday at 4:45 pm - right before member services closed. You should call member services on Monday morning, if you still want to stay there

Good luck

Don't tempt me on that offer- I might take you up on it. I hobbled around the mall last night and Robb yelled at me the whole way because I wouldn't use a wheel chair. :lmao: I'm upset because I can't run right now, which is making me angry. It's not that my foot hurts, but there is lots of tightness around the site due to inflammation- so it hurts with flexing.

Thanks for the well wishes and I'll try to be a good girl, but no promises! :teeth:

Watch out - you don't want Robb calling me and having me bring along my wheelchair for you! ;) We need you in one piece!

OOOOHHHH Tracy...Say it isn't so!!! :badpc: I was so excited to be sitting by the pool talking to the kids! Ugh!

Thanks for the heads-up!

Welcome aboard DisneySPIRIT!

We're so happy to have you join our merry band! And may I ask (*gasp*) have you ever considered joining a Mickey Ice Cream Bar eating Race? You only have ONE Mickey bar and a variable number of fellow DIS folks to stare down... and the winner gets the priceless BUBBA MUG TROPHY! In lime green of course. And, most if not all participants shall receive an award certificate (possibly signed by the captain of the Wonder) testifying to their participation in this landmark event at sea. TWO catagories of competitor are currently envisioned. The total participants shall be divided in half by age. SO I'm guessing it might be something like one group of kids below age 12 or 13 and another group of "bigger kids" above age 12 or 13! If you sign up before the cruise than I can make a custom imprinted award certificate for ya, if you decide to join on the curise or at the event then teh award certificates will have your name hand drawn or we might actually run out! Then you'll have to COMPETE to win one. IE, the slowest competitors will get no award certificate! Wanna sign up?

The race is on the sea day after St Kitts at 2PM in the Promenade Lounge. See page 1 post 5 for the link to the fine details. ;) If YOU decide to pass - why not enter your spouse, cabin mate or kids if they're coming along!?!?

OMG...OMG...OMG...OMG!! We sail in a week!! I am definatly the most excited one in my household. The kids don't really know what to expect and my DH isn't one that gets excited...ever. lol I am almost all packed and counting down the days!! :cloud9:

Well...

... at the moment it is technically LESS than a week! LOL! It's 6 days, 9 hours and 1 minute (last I glanced). BUT WHO'S COUNTING???? I'm already mentally cruising the Wonder ... sort of. Heh-heee-heh! :lmao:

Congratulations, Happy Everything , and I will pray for all...I am not good at remembering all the specifics but I am sincere.

Trying to figure out the grass skirt fraternity, it is a sorority as well? I thought it was a man thing, not true?

The fish extenders, I was getting some glow sticks together, I need 295 or just one per cabin is good, how many cabins?

I am really enjoying this, thank you so much!

No Skype, no, well at least we can use it in port then!?!

Well...

... I just drag, click and copy stuff... that makes remembering easy so long as someone else is on the bounce! And with that in mind, here's my cheerful bid for a Happy Birthday to Carol (scrappy910)! and a Happy Birthday to Sandy (Strissel)!

I would also like to figure out if the GSF is for just the men - or whether it is OK for spouses and possibly kids to come in grass skirts? I thought I might have asked before - but I seem to be having a "senior moment" on this issue's answer.

And as for glow sticks. Well... I was also considering glow sticks, necklaces or the best I found would have been the glow sticks that form bunny ears which look a lot like MICKEY EARS (but they're NOT! See photos below - in one they look like they're mickey ears and in the other clearly they're NOT!). But in the end I decided to go with a mixture of goodies which should appeal to varying ages and tastes. My "gift thing" is gonna be targeted at all the DIS children in our group based on the roster. Speaking of which ... we seem to have 117 cabins with 4 parties not reporting their cabin number or guarantee assignments. And not all can use glow sticks for Fish Extenders as they may not all have fish extenders. Now... did I misunderstand what you had in mind with fish extenders and glow sticks? SO forgive me - I may be confused on this (as is often the case - so my spouse sez... ).
