THE OFFICIAL DISBOARD SCRAPBOOK CLASS ABOARD THE DISNEY WONDER

Okay, here's the details:

WHEN: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2006

WHERE: Tentatively scheduled for Animator's, however, location is subject to change. You will recieve a reminder in your "fish mail" the night before with the final location. Make sure I have your stateroom number if you don't have it on the "official list" so I can find you.

TIME: 11:30 AM - 1 PM

WHO: DIS'ERS AND THEIR FRIENDS/FAMILY

We will be making a mini-memory book based around the theme 11 Nights in Paradise.

You don't really need to bring anything, I will send to the ship beforehand all the supplies for the class. However, if you have a favorite adhesive you work with (i.e. glue stick, mounting squares) bring those along. However, don't go buy any if you don't scrapbook because I will bring along a bunch.

I have bought all the paper and stuff for the book and will have pre-cut for everyone. If you happen to have a small pair of scissors (I use a pair of Fiskar's about 5 1/2 inches long that are sharp), pack them in your checked in luggage. Make sure you don't pack in your carry ons! They might get confiscated. If you don't have any, no worries, we will just have to share.

I need you to PM me your real name and stateroom number so I know who is coming. Deadline to register is September 1st.

If you have already PM'd me, I have you on the list. I will post a list each week with an update of who is coming.

Don't worry about your skill level, this is going to be easy and fun!

Any questions, let me know!

Linda

THE OFFICIAL SCRAPBOOK GRAB BAG EXCHANGE

Okay, so I've been asked to organize the grab bag exchange following the scrapbook class. You are not required to participate in the grab bag exchange, it is just something we added on the Panama Canal Cruise that was a blast. Here's the details:

If you'd like to participate, go purchase $20.00 worth of scrapbook stuff where you live. It can be anything. Some grab bags have been Disney themed, some have been themed around the part of the country where the person lives, some have not had any theme at all, just a fun grab bag of "stuff".

Bring your grab bag to the scrapbook class and at the end of the class, those who are participating will draw a number and then pick a grab bag of stuff to take home with them. Of course, if you don't have time to go buy stuff before you get on the ship, you can purchase scrapbook stuff on the ship. They have great Disney Cruise related scrapbook items that you can only purchase if you are on the ship.

I think that's the scoop on the grab bag exchange. Any questions, post away and I'm sure one of use can answer that did this before.

THE OFFICIAL MINI-NAVIGATOR

You are saying.................three posts in a row.................well, I quit procrastinating and am now just getting to my "to-do" list.

Okay, so I have been asked to put together the Mini-Navigator for the cruise. Some of you are asking, "what the heck is that?". Well, it is our own "Official Dis Board Navigator" that tells you everything you want to know (and then some things you didn't want to know) in one booklet of all the official "dis board" happenings while on the cruise. It will have a list of each disboard member, their stateroom, and pirate names, and any other pertinent information (i.e. get togethers, birthdays, anniversaries).

I need all information no later than September 1 so I can get put together and printed before leaving. Now for the Panama Canal cruise I was here in my office from 2 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. compiling and our flight left at 10 a.m., so I would like to have it put together a little earlier this time!

The mini-navigators will be handed out in the cruise terminal. If you find KPROS and SPROS (Ken and Shari who are handing out the lanyards), you will find us (Robert and Linda). We will be there early trying to find everyone. If we don't find you, you will find an envelope on your "fish mail" when you arrive at your stateroom.

Okay, that's the info, any questions, ask away.

I will pull the info off page one of our thread to put in, so if it is there, I've got it already!

Boy does all this sound like alot of fun. We've just take up scrapbooking, so the class should be a great help. We're only on page four of our first book. lol. And the grab bag sounds like a great idea.

I need to pay Cathy. Does anyone know the post number that tells how to go about that???

For those of you who know me....I have a question.
I have been pondering dressing up for pirates night. I haven't done this before and I sit here asking myself: pirate or wench. Which am I? I could dress either way- I just can't decide how to classify myself. :confused3 :confused3

::

Celeste, I think you would make a DANDY WENCH !! pirate: :grouphug:

Maybe I'll go to see pirates today. popcorn::

Celeste!! Combine the best of BOTH and Be a PIRATE WENCH!! :rotfl2:

Can someone tell me what page a picture of the May pirate group is on? I want to see what people were wearing last year.

I didn't go to the movie....Robb couldn't leave work early and I don't want to take Noah. I've heard the PG-13 warning should be taken literally.

Think they will show Pirates 1 & 2 on pirate night?

LINDA..... can this be arranged?? ;) :rotfl: Bummer though that they won't have the Dumbotron. It was REALLY neat to watch it out on deck on that huge screen. popcorn:: My guess is that they'll show it (POTC2) one night in the Walt Theater as they have to have extra entertainment for those other nights. Cars as well.

On our June cruise, we took the DVD player and watched POC 1 while we were at dinner. That was cool to do and the waiters were very impressed. They kept standing around and watching it until someone yelled at them. LOL

Okay crew I need a favor. if for some wierd reason you need to cancell a wellness massage or a champagne brunch at Palos please let me know first so I can try and snag it.

we have a Palos reservation for the first night, early so we can still make our late dinning, got to love two great meals a night. I also have a massage scheduled on Castaway but would like a cheaper one on board.

I plan on checking once on board, but would like to have it wrapped up before hand.

As Scott mentioned, we have not started packing yet. We would have started months ago if we had access to our "packing" room, but since it has to stay neat for showings, we do not have access to it. All the stuff we would usually pack are in boxes in the garage. I have kept those boxes accessable, so when we do get to start packing, hopefully I will be able to find everything I need. Speaking of showings, the house is going to be shown in a half an hour. I got to bed late this morning because I had to spend an extra 1 1/2 hours cleaning! Having the house on the market is not fun.

Celeste, I also think you would make a good pirate wench.

Elaine (Mickey&Josh Nut),
Your extender went into the mail today. It may take a little longer because we couldn't send it priority mail. :cheer2:
