Busy weekend for us, more packing etc etc etc etc....

Got the decks stained, hot tub up and running, our SCUBA room relocated and now we have a library, I know there is more but it is a blur.

Bummer about the pool and washer.

We do need to think about the excursions, maybe this week. Maybe.

We are officially paid in full!! Both cruises paid. Ok, they are actually just on the credit card, but as far as DCL is concerned, we're paid Next Sunday we can make our ressies for the 7 day and two weeks from today we can make our ressies for the 11 day

Based on some information from Tony, I believe we have a couple new lurkers here. Welcome aboard!!

Made Ressies yesterday for the 11 day and booked another cruise today. Maybe I better go to that addicts thread and join Peter!
I have one more big trip to plan for next year. "It's not going to be a DCL",It's not going to be DCL, It's not going to be DCL"

I remembered to check Disney website this morning, I see that they have posted the shore exursions. Anyone have any thoughts on what they are thinkng of doing?

Been lurking but not posting so have some catching up to do.

We haven't started our packing yet but do have an area where "cruise" items are being put. If I didn't I would forget something for sure. May still yet.

We are busy making magnets for our door, etc. Plan on trying our hand at making some t-shirts too. Just haven't gotten to them yet.

Just a reminder to everyone that fish extenders are still available to any stateroom on the roster.

Mike, lots of and prayers for your surgery. Also, my husband used to use that saying about pools about boats.

We will be making our final payment on the cruise next Monday. Since we are on the day before package that payment will take care of everything. Now all we have to do is make up our minds on excursions. Have Palo's, spa and some ideas on excursions but have to do the final.

Next, has anyone counted the number of cabins in our group? I just went to the roster and counted 90 cabins. Does that sound right?

Just about !! From what I can tell

there are a few that need to be added to the roster.
and 1 or 2 that need to come off !!

So the simple anwser is YES

As you well know, folks seem to come out of the wood works as the cruise gets closer.

Carol & Doug, How many extenders have you mailed ?

We are also figuring on possibly taking a few with us on board so that if anyone on the roster hasn't gotten one they can get one as long as they last. We have been keeping track on the roster of those who have requested extenders and find some gaping holes. Oh, yeah, there will be an article in the newsletter this time about the contest. So look for it!

This sounds like something I would do. I really know where you are coming from. Have also been around the "above ground pool course" so know what a pain in the @$# that can be. between the filter. chemicals and holes in the liner it would have been better and cheaper to put the pool in the ground!! Live and learn. These were things our parents couldn't teach us.

PS - Boats fall in thee same catqagory as pools, except our parents could have told us!! (But they didn't)

I have really been concerned about whether we were really going to get to take this cruise or not. I booked it the day after it was announced and shortly thereafter, found out that my company sold to another company!! Six months after this big campaign about how we were "not for sale"
I knew that there were going to be cuts, and wasn't really sure that I would not be one of them after 17 years of service. Well, it is all done now, and I get to stay with no changes to my current position, (yet) which means that we can still go!!! I have been lurking around here and keeping up a bit, but didn't dare get my hopes up to high in case I was going to be unemployed, and therefore, not able to go. I hope you all saved some room for us, cause we're coming aboard. We are really looking forward to meeting some new friends!! Now if I can just figure out how to get my little green smiley man back.
