Tracy, that is 0600 or 6:00am , as that is when we are leaving for the Port.

FYI Sent DVC an email, we will see.

Only did three posts yesterday. thought I'd get an early start and maybe get them in today. Ya'll are just so fast for us slow movin' folks. I could hardly read fast enough let alone respond. :surfweb:

You know you are a Floridian when: You decide your patio furniture looks OK in the bottom of the pool and you start inventing pool games around it.

This could be fun.

Scott, I will be going to the 3rd Dr this week about the shoulder this afternoon.. Surgery looks like the road we're headed down. Still on steroids and hydrocodone. What kind of shape were you in a couple of weeks out of surgery? I'm wondering about having this done before the trip. Like next week? Or trying to put it off untill after the trip.

Dianna, I was in a sling and swath for four weeks after surgery, and many were the sleepless nights on the couch for about four weeks. It was no fun. No lifting was allowed for quite awhile, I think I started strengthening at about four weeks, and was shocked that I could barely lift one pound over my head. It took about six weeks to start to kinda get a decent range of motion. My therapist said I was ahead of the norm on my recovery, I worked very hard and diligently at it, this is where other fall short and recovery is slower. I wanted to get back in the game. Even though I was released a July 18, my strength is still not back yet, I feel I am at about 90%, working on this, as I have a Bubba Mug to carry. LOL See what the doc says, talk seriously about recovery, and a good PT is a blessing. Mine were great. I had to get an operative report for AFLAC and noted that my injury was described as massive.

At this rate we will get our 10 posts in really early today.

I am sure DCL is reading and wondering what in the world are we in for with this group. Fun of course you silly people.

Thanks Scott, I am a highly motivated person but it sounds like I should wait till after this trip. I'm not sleeping much now. I thought about bringing my own PT with us. But even with that it sounds crazy to try before the trip. Just bad timing.

Disney may need to add more staff to take care of the having fun people. :thumbsup2

Also, my surgery was the first week of March and I was cleared to go diving in mid May for our Grand Cayman trip. Being underwater made it feel all better. Yours may depend on what they have to repair, closed via a scope vs. a major open one (like mine was).

Cold here this morn, 40 degrees. The night sky was great during my run and the big dipper was on the horizon, the legend is that as fall approaches and winter is upon us here on Mother Earth the big dipper, Ursa Major, descends on the horizon and dips life from Mother Earth and thus we have the Winter Season.

Lots of paper work to do and I am having a hard time getting into it this morn.

More coffee that may help.

We don't see much of the stars here. Too much city. I can't wait to get out on the ocean and see the mother heavens. I haven't had a good look since Africa. I know you have been so you know what I mean.

I knew I would miss diving if I had surgery, but was trying not to put it off if possible. I'll talk with the surgeon this afternoon. They are talking about having to reattach some bicep stuff so it doesn't sound good. My biggest fear is it Freezing up on me. Then it is even worse. Iv'e been forcing myself to do exercises to keep it mobile but the pain is heavy.
Clinical Exercise has been my back ground for the last couple of years but it has been all heart related. I have not been in the gym for the last four months and have lost alot of my over all body strength. I'm not in good shape for diving. It's a pity. I'm glad Lamar will be with me.

Well thanks for the help!

Trying to get caught up on reading....

Wow, were there thunderstorms here last night and I had to battle the rain driving in today.

1) Favorite beverage: I'm not really sure....probably Diet Pepsi
2) Favorite Color: Black (the absence of color) and Bright Lime Green (even prior to the Dis)
3) Favorite Childhood Character (it can be non-Disney ... if U dare!): Lambert...non-Disney as an adult Florence Nightengale & Louis Pasteur.
4) Favorite Disney Dish (spouses are a valid option): Filet with red wine reduction.
5) Favorite moment from ANY cruise (or vacation for those 1st timers out there!): Watching my son lie on the tampoline of the catamaran in Cabo San Lucas. He had a look of sure joy on his face. Second would be snorkeling with my family in Curaco. Both on the May repo cruise.

Back to work...
