Just got back from the Las Vegas of the South, (Tunica, MS) and it was hot as hades. When we left it was 101 Degrees with high humidity. We did OK for first timers. Played the penny slots and came home winners to the tune of 23 dollars. Not something we would do every weekend, but a good pre cruise diversion. Mike

Hi Laurie

P.S. - It might not hurt to publish the list here also. There may be others that would like to know peoples pirate names.

Greetings fellow Pirates!! pirate: pirate:
I am working on a gift for my fellow cruisers and need to have everyone's pirate name. Ken posted a couple of sites where you can find a name.

Please either PM me or post a message here with the pirate names in your party.

AARRGH! Matey!pirate:

Laurie,

As soon as we can agree on our names we'll send them on to ya! :confused3 pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

Welcome Captaincrash and crew :welcome: I feel like I know you already from your posts :sunny:

Thanks for the friendly welcome, Scott H; Hygiene99, and TiggerandBubba!

And Hygiene99/Tigger and Bubba.... I had not realized that any of my postings were "admired" and actually noted by anyone. Except maybe my potentially annoying POLL threads. I still have not found a POLL/Thread the DIS community at large cared to sustain! Oh well... that's how it goes - as for my eccentric tastes in thread creations.

AND ... So you asked how I might look in a grass skirt? Well, this is all I could find in my photo valut....

i8FBF08BF-55E9-4730-A1E3-9016294360A5.jpg

I actually took this a few years ago when we were on our 1st DIsney sailing when our oldest was under 3. AND.... as for the gentleman next to me in a grass skirt ... I regret to admit I don't know who he is .... yet. Although I suspect someone on the ship does know who he is...

At any rate - I glanced at the 1st page. It looks really nice and well organized (sans private off DIS web page - the sailing I'm transferring from had one). So, I'll have to come up with pirate names for my family members - and as for myself I guess I already know I'll be going as Captain Crash. Plus, we have sailing goodies for all the kids in our DIS group - depending on how many there actually are. I think so long as there are less than 50 we're OK. Otherwise we may cut off our contribution to a certain age and below so we can spread around what we've got.

Anyways - I'll formally PM for inclusion on the sailing roster once we transfer our ressie at about 6PM California time. As previously mentioned, we have our air arrangements set - and a DCL reservation on hold just waiting for the reservation transfer and funding. Today is also the deadline for full funding... so the Mouse wants all our money too. That's OK... cuz we want to hang with "the Mouse" to St Kitts anyway - and we don't plan on freeloading (yet). :thumbsup2

OK....

I'm gonna go back to reading backwards through the Southern Cruise Meet thread here to catch up a little on whats' been going on. I'm up to 6 pages backwards and I got 368+ pages to go. I don't think I'll get to it all - but I'm gonna glance a bit. If the crowd is too scary then I still have an hour or so to reschedule!?!?! OK... maybe NOT.... :confused3

Cheers! :wave2:

Are AVIS and BUDGET sold out? Uh-O.... I'm about to transfer into this sailing and I like to be frugal and get rental cars too.

OK... I ust made my car reservations... I got Budget for the 16th for $27.99 ($35.35 total) on a FORD FOCUS (I'll weasel for a free upgrade or dig up a coupon).... and for the debarkation day I have a Budget Full Size for $53.99 (Total = 59.84). The size differential implies my dear spouse of 22 years will have been shopping on the cruise so we'll be needing extra space for her "new baggage" on the way home. :confused3

Avis also had cars that were cheap on embarkation - but identically more on the debarkation. And the difference in cost between the subcompacts through full isze were only a $4 spread. THATS ACTUALLY WHY I took a full size coming back. :thumbsup2

Oh - I ust noticed the mapping for Budget at 8401 Astronaut way looks to be further away from the port terminal than I recall. I'll have to call them to check whether this location has MOVED further away and confirm that they still run a shuttle to the Port terminal.

Hmmm...... :confused3
