Yep, the WB TA looked pretty darn good. Like that you spent a few days in the Caribbean at the end. Crossing the Atlantic in the middle of hurrican season feels pretty risky.

I haven't looked at any of the rates, and am bumed they didn't say anything about the holidays....would still love a 10 day Christmas cruise!

....back to work....

I remember reading a comment by Andrew Derek that you travel south of the hurricane line accross the Atlantic(if you understand what I mean). Of course you can meet one once you arrive in the Caribbean, but we are taking that chance with this cruise aren't we?

...Karen (Custardtart) I've spent a very rainy afternoon reading your VR trippie....absolutely loved it :cool1: thank you for the entertainment! I shall save the others for another rainy day.....:worship:

I thought the estimable Mr Stringer wrote a good report...but your's rival even his!;)

Awww thank you!!! :hug: You're too kind - just glad you enjoyed it... :goodvibes

No news yet from DU. I sent them a second email request this afternoon. Still nothing. This is very unusual for Marla, my regular agent. I wonder why I haven't heard from her yet.:confused3

I imagine they are plowed under with all of the requests they are getting... :)

Kaz, just finished your vow renewal trip report. Loved it and loved the laughs! It was a joy to read.

P.S. I think you should post your 'original' wedding picture over here for everyone to see (it's so darling) :thumbsup2

Yea, you're probably right. I just hate the wait and the no response. It's a killer.
:headache: :headache: :headache:

hope you're not kept waiting too long Deb!:thumbsup2

It's a glorious day here today in sunny Wiltshire (for a change).....don't know what it's like elsewhere in the UK....or US either!:confused3

I've actually managed to get some washing dry outside on the line:cool1: The gym was very busy today, so I think the sun must have had a good effect on people!:thumbsup2

Have a good day everyone:laundy:

We came home from very hot sunny weather yesterday to rain. However, it isn't bad at all today and like you have dried quite a bit of washing. Makes such a difference.

Was it bad up North too yesterday Maz? It was terrible here yesterday, torrential rain all day.

Bet you feel cold coming home after all that sunshine!:sad2:

We arrived at Doncaster airport at 6pm, so I think the worst of the weather was over. It didn't feel as cold as I expected, but I had cold feet and legs in bed and couldn't sleep last night. Will have to get the winter duvet out.

I got four emails from her this morning when I checked. All she could give me was the ininerary, which we already had and the sail dates, which we also had. No new news. The prices and therefore deposit amount will come out on October 14th. So we have to wait and see.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Glad you enjoyed my self indulgent ramblings... As to the photo of Dick and I circa 1982 - NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! It's so not darling... :lmao:

Haven't been around in ages, but we're still cruising, and kids still don't know.
We had a very eventful first five months of dh's deployment: including loads of medical crises involving our youngest ds and his surprise kidney issues. This resulted in 5 hours of surgery at the end of August, and myriad complications which almost caused us to cancel our 9/27 cruise. But we're on track now.

I'd love to do the new Med cruise going to Tunisia (mentioned wanting to go there to our head waiter last week, and he told me Disney would never go), but it's too far out of our price range with six of us.

So I'll never be able to catch up on this thread, but will try to keep up now.

Julie

I want to hear this "Champagne Girls" story.......

popcorn::

It was all Mandy's fault...then she didn't even go on the cruise!

(The moral of the story however, is be careful of what you say in front of Deb...it can turn into an ADVENTURE!)

Julie, so sorry to hear about your son's medical issues and glad to hear that things are on track. We've been doing a bit of chatting about the 2010 stuff as well as getting to know some of our newly arrived cruise mates.

I want to hear this "Champagne Girls" story.......

popcorn::

Well, it was about a year before our PC repo cruise and me and UKANGEL were just chatting and one thing let to another and a conversation that started with coffee ended with champagne. She dreamed up the Champagne Girls and we both took off with the idea.

On the PC cruise, we had a champagne tasting of five different varieties. Even girls who didn't drink came and enjoyed the party. You must wear pink and you get a pink tiara and take a picture to put in a pink frame above your bar at home. We did all of that. And we have our mascot, Sassy Bubbles.....who is Cheri/notsolittlemermaid.....who dressed as a pink tink. We had a LOT OF FUN!!!

We posted pictures on here if you want to go back and find them....enjoy!

So are you in? If so, just copy our logo into your signature if you want and there's going to be another Champagne Girls tasting on this cruise too. The list will be done as we get much closer and the tiaras will be provided.
