Just got off the Magic on Saturday and had a GREAT time!! :woohoo: The 2nd Castaway stop was overcast and choppy waters but still enjoyed the beach..

Slight Change to "This" cruise.. While onboard, we changed rooms to 6536 instead of 6082 because we now have another couple and their kids coming.. Sooo we connect to their room.. The kids are already counting down the days ;)

Stacy, I didn't know you were on this one too! Maybe this time I'll actually get to meet you ;)

Oh, they had a GREAT time. But I don't think their wallets did ;)

I am drooling over the eastbound positioning. One of my dear friends went last time and I was so jealous. They were crossing the ocean and I was stuck at home taking care of their hedgehog :sad2:

Not this time!!!!!

Of course, I have no idea how we are going to pay for three cruises over the next two years. Details. We'll worry about them later, right? ;)

Erica... new trippie name...

Geeks go for Broke... 3rd time's the charm???

:rotfl: ;) :rotfl: ;) :rotfl:

 WELCOME HOME!

Well, here's something to add into the mix:

CHRISTMAS ON THE MAGIC 2010:
12/18 Magic:

PC
2 days at Sea
St. Maarten
Guadalupe
Barbados
Martinique
Day at Sea
St. Thomas
Day at Sea
Castaway Cay

Tracy (winotracy) posted this...don't think there are rates yet. This really appeals to me too...along with a TA (westbound hedging out eastbound due to time in the Caribbean). Though I swore I'd wait for a bigger ship to do a TransAtlantic.

.....decisions, decisions......

.

I'm with you on this one Jackie. I wrote to DU and asked for info, pricing, to be wait listed until we can book. I like this one a lot and since there's no airfare involved for me, I can spend a little bit more on the cruise.

Stacy, I didn't know you were on this one too! Maybe this time I'll actually get to meet you ;)

Erica, Joe and I are on this one also.

Same from me Stacy maybe this time I will get to meet you

Maureen

It was hard being with 12 people this past trip to do things with the Dis soooo next year, it should be easier.. ;)

So anyone waiting to see where the Wonder will go on the 4 and 5 night cruises it will offer in 2010 when the Magic is in Europe?

....and it would mean I'd spend my Birthday onboard :cool1:

where can I find the details of this one....can't see it on the DCL site....:rolleyes1

mmmmmm that Christmas cruise sounds wonderful!:cool1:

YES, I want to do it too!!!

More Champagne and Cheers!

I don't know where Jackie found the info, but I sent an email to DU last night so I hope to hear back from them today giving me as much info as they have available about this cruise. I'll pass it on when I get a response.

Got the info from a post by Tracy (winotracy) who is a DU agent (and a very good one too ::yes:: )

Hopefully DU will respond to Deb with more information. I'm sure it will be pretty pricy, but with the 50% off deposit deal, I'm very tempted to grab a stateroom for two just to secure something at the lowest possible price. For some reason I want to say the deposits are $600 per person...but that may have been for the Med/Baltic stuff...and may have just been someone's guess. Everything I've been reading is starting to blur.

Thanks Jackie:thumbsup2 I know what you mean about the blurring!:headache: I'd love to nab a stateroom for the Christmas one, just in case we can go for it nearer the time :rolleyes1

Thanks Jackie.....I can't wait to hear back from DU.....I'm checking my email regularly.

The 50% off deposit deal is only thru DCL I believe. I don't know if DU is honoring it. I'll find out.

A regular deposit for a cat 6 for two for 7 nights is $500. For 11 nights I think it's $700. It would be nice if DU offers it for half off too.

I think the 1/2 off is for internet booking directly with DCL, which is what I'd be doing as I don't have a dummy date to transfer.

....lots to think about here.....

You're exactly correct. I just checked out both sites and only DCL online is offering it. DU is not. I don't have a dummy date to transfer either, but I'm doing it thru DU because: 1) I get a lower rate....this has been true everytime I booked in the past. I look it up on DCL's site for a ballpark price and then get a quote from DU and it's always less; 2) I get a $200 shipboard credit. I know that I could book thruough DCL and then transfer to DU for the shipboard credit but I don't think they will lower the price.

I just looked up what it costs to do a Christmas trip in 09 in a cat 6 for 7 nights and it was about $4000 per person. Now add 4 more nights and it should be a somewhere around $5000 per person. That's steep, but that cruise is going to be so worth it and I have two years to pay it off after paying off the B2B.

I like way you're thinking Deb!:thumbsup2

Karen (Custardtart) I've spent a very rainy afternoon reading your VR trippie....absolutely loved it :cool1: thank you for the entertainment! I shall save the others for another rainy day.....:worship:

I thought the estimable Mr Stringer wrote a good report...but your's rival even his!;)
