It sure does.....doesn't it.....well it was just a "little" typo.....I fixed it.....but you weren't supposed to see that!

:rotfl2:

Ok so I have a question for everyone who ever participated in an F/E...

What are some of THE best gifts you got?? I am trying decide if I should order personalized items or handmade or just normal store bought goodies.. :confused3

Thanks for your help!!

A difficult question to answer as we had teams on the PC cruise which works so well as you then get slightly more expensive gifts, and that also saves everyone worrying about what gifts to get!!! I liked that as I worried all year about those private ones I did give out. Some things from the group were - personalised(I mean cruise logo or something related)mouse mat, dry wipe board, binoculars, tissues(last night:sad:

Some individuals did go to the trouble of getting things like lip balms with the cruise logo on, or making DVD's of music. Some made door magnets, buttons etc. We had a mountain of candy of all types.:scared1: Glow sticks, pencils, postcards, keyrings, sharpie pens. We had a great Mickey patterned cool tie from a good friend(;) )

On our previous and first cruise it was a 4 day one close to Christmas, and we got some great Christmas bits n bobs, including 2 DL tree decorations. and a pack of DL playing cards.

Some of the best things we got on the DDD were the personalized pens and notepads! Always useful, and nice to write a grocery list with at home :) We also got a great pirate bag for all of our FE swag which was pretty neat. And even the things we did not use? Were still fun to get when we got back. We gave some of our stuff to kids in the family since we don't have any of our own yet ;)

I gave away pirate rubber duckies :thumbsup2

Hi all I saw the posts about FE :surfweb: My wife made one out of one of my old Mickey Mouse shirts :cool1: she folded it so it was skinny and stiched across the chest to form a pocket at the collar also you can put mail between the buttons and a rope sewed to the shoulders for a hanger- you can also take it apart and wear it if you run out of clothes:rotfl:

what a great idea!:thumbsup2

The scan was quick and easy Mandy, thanks. he feels much more relaxed now it is over. We are believing that it will be a sinus problem. Have to wait a week though. Sort of seems life is on hold till then. We are supposed to fly 6 weeks tomorrow!!!

Glad it went quickly Maz, my Dad had one a little while back too, but they also decided the problem is his sinus's....we're not convinced though. It wasn't a nice exoerience though...hugs to John x

I had SO MUCH FUN I can't even start to tell you!

Tonight's Late Show w/David Letterman is the one we were in the audience for. It was taped Monday night. The guests are Tina Fey and Frank Calliendo, also a singer named Tim Montana.

Anyway, if you watch (or TIVO) it, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of my sis and me when the camera pans the audience. It's toward the end of the show, right after they say who next week's guests will be. We're in the front row of the balcony, all the way at the end.

What a treat for this mostly small town AZ girl to get to spend a few days in the City That Never Sleeps!!! I can't wait to go back. We did a 6 hour city tour (very fast-paced, we saw a lot!), saw Wicked, Letterman, walked down 5th Ave., went to Times Square and Rock. Center, had some wonderful meals and a couple of great hot dogs!!!

sounds like you had a great time Cheri!:cool1: I LOVE NY! We took Becky there for her 18th Birthday a couple of years ago and would love to go back one day soon. I felt so at home there!

Having lived and worked in NYC in a past life when I was young.....I keep saying that I want to go to Hawaii one day. It's definitely on my list of must do's, AFTER I get all these cruises out of the way too!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm hoping DCL will go there in 2011 or 2012 with the new ships and when the new Hotel/Timeshares are open.

DITTO!
:dance3:

Thanks.. didnt help.. but thanks :lmao:

I dunno I always think my little trinkets are stupid.. Other then the glow sticks cause everyone Loves glowsticks lol.. Especially when you can throw them out after you use them.. Plus.. you dont have to buy any from the vendor on the ship :thumbsup2

Aren't glow sticks great? My brother brought us some when we were all away last weekend and we had so much fun with them:cool1:

I'll be giving out autographed photos.

:lmao: I look forward to receiving one!

Another one of the FE gifts I liked was the Hershey mini bars that had the cruise logo on the wrapper (thanks Bubba & Venetia)...I thought that was so cool that I didn't even eat them right away! :rotfl:

Also, did you know glowsticks make great nightlights for the inside cabins? I placed some on the coffee table so I wouldn't crash into it in the middle of the night.

Another cool thing (and something a couple of folks might want to go together on as it can get $) are the personalized M&M's. I've received some in lime green from our 06 Double Dip with our slogan on it. A friend and I put together a bag of "Movie Munchies" that included red/black/yellow M&Ms for that cruise too.

Well, now that the TiggersPal birthday cruise group is booked (pending inlaws coming along) I thought I'd start inundating our brother and big sister with DCL info. I figure over the course of 10 months I can taunt them with pictures and facts to help pass the time and keep up the excitement. And I've warned them this is coming...:lmao:

I was going to start with an 'additional expenses' sheet...but I think I'll wait on that...better start with some tempting photos and fun facts. ;) If any of you have suggestions, or see some cool photos around the DIS (I will pirate photos from the pics and food thread), let me know.

.

Thank You ALL for your input on the F/E gifts which leads me to another question..

OK, PLEASE don't Flame me.... For the hand made candy/food products.. do you eat them? Or do you 2nd guess yourself??

One year we received home made chocolate lolipops, but, they ended up in the trash.. 1. was I 100% sure this was one of "us" and not just "anybody" and 2. would it melt if we packed it.. so instead of 2nd guessing I tossed it out.. :guilty:

I give them to granmaz.

Woody

:lmao: :lmao:

I ate all the chocolate! The other types of candy were 'gifted' to my stateroom host to share with his friends. :thumbsup2 (and was very much appreciated)

I don't recall getting any home made foodstuffs. Actually, I don't think you're supposed to bring them onto the ship (only packaged products).

Why don't we just give everyone muffins?

:lmao: :lmao: I wonder if we could get Mimi's to send a case of muffins to the ship? Hmmmm.....maybe I'll have lunch at Mimi's today and choke down another pumpkin spice muffin!

WHEN WILL WE GET TO SEE TORTOLA EXCURSIONS....I'm in a planning mode today.

Do you know what you're doing on St. Thomas/St. John???

Thanks.. didnt help.. but thanks :lmao:

THERE IS NOT SUCH THING AS A STUPID TRINKET!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

That's what I gave out on the PC.....we had teams because there were so many of us.....there was just me and one other person in my team. We gave out glow sticks, sunglasses and rubber pirate duckies from the two of us.

I love the glowsticks because of all the reasons you just listed. Your trinkets are NOT stupid. FE gifts are mostly for the kids and if no kids, like me and DH, then it's that jolt everytime you go back to your room and find a little surprise from someone you know who thought of you. It's great!

YOU GAVE ME MY DUCKIES?????:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I named them Jolly and Roger and they are in my bathroom next to my full sized duckie named Birnie... (she loves having friends...:goodvibes )

Sukie's giving autographs???? :thumbsup2

Why don't we just give everyone muffins?

Stolen from the mornings buffet at Topsiders... that way you don't have to ship and they'll be fresher... if you run out... I hear Mickey Waffles will do... ;)
