I'm hoping to be on the maiden voyage, but if not that at least be on the new ship in 2011. So there's cruising through 2011, so everything else has to wait.:lmao:

ABSOLUTELY agree with you Emily.....great minds!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

I had SO MUCH FUN I can't even start to tell you!

Tonight's Late Show w/David Letterman is the one we were in the audience for. It was taped Monday night. The guests are Tina Fey and Frank Calliendo, also a singer named Tim Montana.

Anyway, if you watch (or TIVO) it, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of my sis and me when the camera pans the audience. It's toward the end of the show, right after they say who next week's guests will be. We're in the front row of the balcony, all the way at the end.

What a treat for this mostly small town AZ girl to get to spend a few days in the City That Never Sleeps!!! I can't wait to go back. We did a 6 hour city tour (very fast-paced, we saw a lot!), saw Wicked, Letterman, walked down 5th Ave., went to Times Square and Rock. Center, had some wonderful meals and a couple of great hot dogs!!!

Cherie....

Never again will you listen to Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind" the same way again.. :goodvibes

I've been out of the city for so many years now and I still get chills everytime I hear that song.

How are you tonight Michelle?

Peg, how about the Jun12th Baltic?;)
i doubt very much my boss will let me go in June and then again in Sept for a 14 day (with some days in Barcelona!)

Mis Cheri - I'm SO glad you had a great time. I bet you never thought those "street dogs" would be so good eh? Too bad you weren't there for St. Genero's feast - it's amazing!
Congratulations!

Woody
Thanks - so happy about the decision!

Indeed - remind me to tell you the story of when I met Billy Joel - 1981 - at a bar called Wickers we used to hang out in (I lived on Long Island for 5 years) - he was the NICEST man to us (me and my two gal pals)!

Also - I remember when John Lennon was shot, we went to the Dakoka - huge crowds, so very sad. My then time - boyfriend played in a band and had a gig down the street from the Dakota...

Did you love Times Square? Can't you almost CUT the energy with a knife? Glad you made it home safe and sound...

will you house sit for me in 9/2010? :rotfl: :rotfl2: :dance3: :yay:

Tough one tonight Deb... the change in the weather has hit big time (will go below freezing) and I'm hurting... Had to go and lay down before dinner I was hurting so bad.

Dad's getting better, though. He will be off the ventilator tomorrow...

Oh, so sorry to hear you're dealing with pain today. Just take it easy and rest until it goes away. I know how you feel and I fully understand.

I'm glad to hear the news about your dad doing better. That's a relief.

Ok so I have a question for everyone who ever participated in an F/E...

What are some of THE best gifts you got?? I am trying decide if I should order personalized items or handmade or just normal store bought goodies.. :confused3

The ones you eat so you don't have to buy a bag to take them home.....just kidding! But that is what happened to us on the PC cruise. We had a total of 400 or so DISers on that cruise and we did buy the bag to bring all the gifts home in. I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite....there were many that were unique and fun.

There won't be nearly that many DISers on this cruise. The Baltic is the next cruise that will have the most DISers on it.

So I would say, do something that you like that you'll enjoy giving and would like receiving too.

That's what I gave out on the PC.....we had teams because there were so many of us.....there was just me and one other person in my team. We gave out glow sticks, sunglasses and rubber pirate duckies from the two of us.

I love the glowsticks because of all the reasons you just listed. Your trinkets are NOT stupid. FE gifts are mostly for the kids and if no kids, like me and DH, then it's that jolt everytime you go back to your room and find a little surprise from someone you know who thought of you. It's great!
